 Our Mansfield Thiots

Last Sunday we journeyed to Bethlehem, aka Waxahatchi for a very special evening.  We have gone since we first learned about it 14 years ago as often as we could.  This year our beautiful Harper loved getting dressed in a beatiful pink head covering.  How I love that girl.
Brooklyn and Addison were there too and loved exploring all the shops and we all remembered how  much we love the Star. The camels were there, the sheep, the donkey and the whole Christmas story seemed to come to life on that chilly night.

Jami and Jeremiah came with us too.  Oh how we love these two.  They spoke in church earlier that day and they were kind enough to give us there talks as we drove them back to Dallas after our fun evening.  Hot chocolate and cookies were a fun finish to our night.  We met another family who had just moved to Texas and we loved sharing with them too.

On December 18, just seventeen years ago, our Ricky and Becky were sealed for time and eternity in this beautiful Salt Lake Temple.  Oh it was a cold cold day but so warm inside the Holy Temple.  I loved remembering all about it yesterday.  Happy Anniversary you two!

Our Medford Granges

I love Penny's Christmas tree hair due for school this week.  What amazing hair you have and a fun mom to make it look so cute.  The star is my fave!
Simon came downstairs while Tatia was dressing Gracie and when she got downstairs, Simon had found a plate at the counter and was ready for breakfast.  What  a fun boy.  I can't believe our babies will be TWO Tomorrow!
Your eyes are NOT playing tricks on you.  Skyler is in Medford this week for Christmas Break with Tatia's fun family.  They invited him and he couldn't resist.  They all adore him as he does them.
Skyler and his team, built a tower of duplo building blocks that went from the top of the coffee table all the way to the ceiling.  Oh my goodness they were thrilled! Keep having a great time Uncle Sky!

Our Folsom Thiots

Charlie and Tatia called me one morning this week and it totally made my day.  Charlie knew how to help us all three face time together.  Oh how I loved getting to visit with them at the same time.  Thank you both!

Our Orem Thiots

Jackson has learned to call me on his amazing wrist watch phone. I simply love it when I hear his voice saying, "Grammy!"  It makes my day.  I loved getting to see the Home  Alone House they are building together.  Even both those naughty funny guys are included.  I loved seeing it.  Our sweet Stacy was sick this week and Pierce was out of town.  She's sure glad to have him back home.  I'm glad she has such nice kids to help.

I love Pierce's snow village and hos fun they have it on display.  The train, may be my favorite.  Pierce was always in charge of putting the train under our Christmas tree each year.  He is a train lover at heart and enjoys many in his home year round.

This was Elie's first Christmas sitting on Santa's lap.  She didn't even seem to mind.
By Christmas #2, she was NOT a Santa fan.  Bless her little heart.
But by Christmas #3, she had figured out he was a very good thing, and she was delighted to sit up on his lap.
Christmas #4 was a Covid Christmas and she had to see him behind a plastic screen.  Such a cute girl.

This year she was able to sit on Santa's lap again.  Oh she is such a sweetheart. Merry Christmas Elinor! We will see you on the 28th.

Dick started out his week with a few hours in the dentist chair having an implant installed.  Nothing like having a post drilled into your jaw.  YIKES!  I've been so proud of how tough Dick is.  He's quite remarkable. It has not slowed him down for a minute this week.
The amazing Fabio was baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday afternoon.  Dick got to baptize him and it was so great to be there.  I got to help teach one of the lessons with the sisters.  He is from Brazil and is wonderful.  We love him already.
I love this photo Cousin Kim sent of my Aunt Marie with her two great great neice and nephew.  Aunt Marie is beloved in our family.
Uncle Boyd took a two week vacation to spend time with his Idaho family.  Aunt Marie loved having him there and they sure enjoyed their time together.  Uncle Boyd has magic with children.  I think he may have been a nursery leader in heaven as children all remember him and love him.
I loved our trip to Bethlehem last weekend.  Such fun to get to wear a beatutiful headdress too.  I loved this sweet sister in the dress makers shop that helped to dress us.
My fridge may be my favorite Christmas decoration this year.  I love all these children hanging there in their matching PJ's.  They make me smile every time I walk past or open the doors,
On Thursday, my friend Judy Hall and her daughter Jena arrived for a sleep over.  Judy's youngest brother's son is getting married today and she came a day early to visit.  I LOVED it.  They came to the temple Friday morning while I was serving there and that made it extra special to get to help them with family names in Initiatory.  Judy did a ancestor named Eleanor.  I thought of my sweet Elie. It was a very choice time being with them.  They are coming to go to our ward Sacrament Meeting this morning.  Horray!

Our Temple grounds has the nativity statues  I always love to walk over to them and say hello.  I always wish I'd brought a cozy blanket to cover them up on cold days.  It's hard to believe Christmas is less than a week away.  We've had something wonderful at our house.  Somebody has been doing the 12 days of Christmas for us.  It's been so fun to look forward to what is coming next.  We've loved it!  We hope you will enjoy your Merry Week of Christmas.  We love you so much! SLY Robynn

It's not very long until Christmas, be careful what ever you do....

Brooklyn's choir concert was Monday night.  WE loved being there to hear her choir perform.
I love her being on the second row from the back right on the end so I could watch her the whole show.
Ricky and Becky took a quick trip to LA to celebrate their Anniversary this week.  Does it get any better than Disneyland at Christmas Time?
I love how Sleeping Beauty's castle looks like the frozen castle, beautiful!
Our last concert/recital was Harpers Dance Recital on Saturday night. How we loved finding pretty bouquets for all the girls for their concerts this week.

Harper danced in Where are you Christmas.  She is a beautiful little dancer.  How I loved watching and cheering for her.

Our Medford Granges

Miss Penny had her Christmas Piano Recital last Sunday evening.  She sounded great!
They were able to Zoom the concert so those who couldn't attend could watch.  I loved this picture of the babies watching Penny play.  Max, Oscar and Charlie were on the couch watching too!  I loved how they all loved listening and watching Penny.  Dick and I LOVED it too!
Jake took the three big kids for their first Covid Vaccine.  Happy day that they are old enough to have it!
At soccer this week, Miss Penny was stepped on by another player when she fell.  Her tiny finger on her right hand was fractured.  OUCH!
Here are the babies going to the doctor with her to be x-rayed
On Friday after lunch, Tatia couldn't find Simon's lunch plate.  Check this out, he put it in the sink of his play kitchen.  Oh my goodness, he so bad wants to be a good boy.  I loved it!

Our Folsom Thiots

What a sweet experience it was to go to the Living Nativity exhibit.  Every year it seems to get even better.
I love the Star!
I love seeing Winnie in her matching Christmas PJs to her family. She likes them too.
Nothing can't be improved with a bowl of buttery popcorn!
Keelie is so strong and loves her little brothers.
I love Ewan reading his scriptures to Winnie.  Sometimes scriptures put me to sleep to Winnie!
Nothing is more manly than doing dishes.  Way to go Charlie and Ewan!
I can't wait to get more information on these beautiful creations.  WOWSERS!

I love your family room that has so much room for dear friends and family!

Our Orem Thiots

It's hard for me to believe how these two can still fit together in a crib. They look so cozy.
Sometimes when you have your braces adjusted, it's hard to smile.  Those wires poking in you can be painful.  Love you sweetie
On the other hand, have you ever seen a face that says happiness like this one?
Adelaide has loved setting up her Christmas corner in her room with her little treasures.  I love that she used her Christmas quilt Grammy made her when she was a baby.
I knew Jackson had long legs, but never have I seen them look this long. Grow Jackson Grow!
Waffle Love can make anyone feel like doing the Happy Dance.  Love it!
Talk about Lego HEaven.  I love Jackson operating those sweet lego trains with his daddy
I love swinging too Adelaide.  You make me smile just watching you!

Last Sunday, Skyler and Elie built and painted Elie's home depot Christmas car kit.
oh what fun they had. Of course it needed to be purple with a bit of green
On Wednesday, when Sky picked her up from school, they went to the park and put on the stickers and tied on the tree and then Elie loved racing it down the slippery slides. Oh what a great racer it was.
After the Pine Tree Derby, they bundled up as it was cooling off and ...

headed to Holiday in the Park at six flags for a few rides.  What fun as not too many people thought to go to Six Flags on a Wednesday afternoon.  Always a fun daddy daughter date.

Have you heard the story of Shoemaker Martin? Leo Tolstoy wrote this sweet story a long time ago and I love it.  A Sister Patty Andrews who used to  live by us gifted us this book in 1994 and it's been one of my favorites every year.  I keep it with my Christmas book collection and I love it more each year.
Guess what? My skinny Christmas tree is up in front of the play house.  It makes me happy too.
This coming Tuesday is the Relief Society Cookie Exchange.  We haven't done this for years and I'm excited.
Everytime I plant pansies, the bunny's eat them.  I finally figured out a way to put them so high the bunny's can't get them.  Horray!

I love these gnome strawberry cupcakes.  Yummy!

Here are our 3 sister missionaries.  Sister Hawley on the left was just transferred to Brazil where her original mission call was too.  We miss her already. It's been fun to have sisters because when they need someone to go with them, they call me instead of Brother Thiot.  Hooray! I hope you have had a nice week and know you are loved. SLY Robynn
