Our Mansfield Thiots

Brooklyn began Early Bird Seminary this week.  My favorite morning was when I got a text message from her at 6:00 telling me she was there and that she was enjoying D&C Section 93.  Nothing could have put a bigger smile on my face so early in the morning.  I love this photo my sister Laurie send me of the bird feeder that her husband Mike build for her and hung right outside her bedroom window.  What happiness that brings to see those birds so happy having breakfast together.  She did say is there is one down side and that is the fact that they seem to think the trampoline is a outdoor bathroom.  Oops, she doesn't mind too much squirting it off with the hose to keep it clean hoping some grandchildren or activity day boys might stop by for some jumping time.

Our Medford Granges

It finally happened, school started in Medford and everyone is so happy to get to go Back to School.  Penny is a 5th Grader,  Max a 3rd Grader and Oscar is in 1st Grade.  Charlie Boy stared Pre-school and is thrilled maybe the most of all. Tatia and the babies are enjoying 3 hours together Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  What fun! Oscar came home the first day with a cough and had to wait to return with a negative Covid Test and a few days of rest at home.  Boy was he MAD.  That boy loves school and wanted to be there.  Glad he tested negative and is feeling better.  He was able to return on Friday.

Our Folsom Thiots

Keelie participated in a bake sale raising over $1,000 dollars for Afghan  refugees! Red came at the end of the sale to say hello to everyone.  Ewan had a friend over to make pizza and go out to ice cream in the Jeep.  Callum went to his friend Abby's Birthday Party.  And to make it more fun to jump, Keelie attached a sprinkler to the trampoline.  WOWSERS!  It's been smoky this week with a very lousy air quality.  Praying for Rain in California!

Our Orem Thiots

Jackson, after practicing much patience, began Kindergarten this week.  He loves riding the bus with Adelaide and coming home with friends.  I've loved getting pictures from Pierce all week of the magnificent beauties he's been shooting for his latest ad.  I can't wait to see it all finished.  You've made my week to see these PJ!

Our Upstairs Thiots

This has been a hard week without getting to see Elie again.  We are hopeful that the results from the custody hearing will bring more Elie time soon.  I loved these pictures from a fun face time call we had with her this week.  Skyler got to play some tennis this week and he enjoyed that along with some good bike rides.  He was invited to a viewing of a new movie to be released next year to give feed back.  The movie wasn't his best but the popcorn was good.

We Plano Thiots
It took three weeks to get these 15 cute Grandchildren back to school.  Simon and Gracie are the only two stay at homers this year.  I'm glad Tatia gets to keep them close for a few more years. We have One 10th Grader, Two 9th Graders, 1 8th Grader, 1 7th Grader, 2 5th Graders, 2 4th Graders, 1 3rd Grader, 1 2nd Grader, 1 1st Grader, 1 Kindergartener, 2 Pre-K's. WOWSERS!
It was the Plano Stake Blood Drive on Saturday.  There is not too many things Dick likes doing as much as he likes donating blood.  They always make him feel glad he did it and they seem to like his blood.
He's very brave and I'm proud of him! Type O blood is very much in demand these days
Cousin Steven Borget was in town this week and Dick loved getting to play golf with him twice.
We hated to say goodbye when it was time to go back home.  He promised to come another time.  We hope he will.
Tonight begins our first Self Reliance Class.  Gemie and I are excited and hope this will be a good experience for all who are going to attend.
There is a series of movies that the Hallmark channel has made that have the same four people in them.  They are postal workers and are a bit quirky and I just love them.  Friday night a new one came on and I hate to admit that I have watched it 3 times already.  Signed, Sealed and Delivered to the Altar. It makes me smile, it makes me cry, it makes me happy.
You won't believe that What a burger has the delicious Pico de Gallo burgers back.  We couldn't wait to get into line and try one.
This photo is my cousin Michelle.  Her mama Aunt Marie stepped off a curb wrong this week and fell and broke her hip.  She had to have a pin put into her hip to help it heal up.  She's a trooper and is in our prayers.  Michelle went to the high school foot ball game Friday night and this picture tells me that she likes football.  What a happy face.  We've got three Birthdays coming up this week.  Skyler, Tatia and Becky will all celebrate!  Such fun! Sure Love ya'll, Robynn

Addison to 7th Grade, Harper to 4th Grade
Brooklyn to 9th Grade

Our Mansfield Thiots

It was Back to School in Mansfield this week.  Everyone had a great first week.  Figuring out how to to get three girls to three schools is a little tricky and then get them picked up in a timely fashion too will take some figuring out.  Thankfully there will be school buses to help make that happen a bit quicker we hope.  In celebration of the last day of Summer, Alley Cats was the location they have been waiting for.  Mini Golf and Go Carts makes everything more  fun.  I loved these photos of them.  I think Harper looks like she might have liked to have been driving instead of being a passenger.  Maybe next time Harper!

Our Medford Granges

School starts tomorrow for the Medford Granges.  It was Meet the Teachers earlier this week and everyone got the best teachers ever.  They are all excited and happy and Monday can't get here fast enough.  For a last Summer Fun Blast, Jake borrowed his friends Dune Buggy and took each of the kids on their own drive around the block.  As you can tell from Oscars picture, that little car is LOUD.  Everyone had a great ride and Oscar would recommend ear plugs next time he goes.  I was grateful to see that the babies did not take a ride.  Maybe next year!!!

Lilly starts her 10th Grade Year

Our Folsom Thiots

Lilly started school this week and is now officially a Sophomore in High School.  She was pretty excited about that.  Charlie and Jen were invited to a party on the River and they had a great time eating crawdads and all the fun that goes with that.  I loved them sitting in that giant chair.  Such fun.  Thanks for the photos!

Our Orem Thiots

Adelaide went back to school this week and Jackson will begin next week.  They were both invited to Meet the Teacher earlier in the week and what a great school they will be attending.  Adelaide did virtual school in LA last year and I think she is going to thrive and love being back in school with Friends.  She said she knows someone in each of her classes either from the neighborhood or soccer camp.  That makes school more fun I'm sure.  As soon as Pierce got Adelaide settled into school, he loaded up his truck and headed for LA to do an incredible shoot for an ad he is working on.  I can't wait to hear all the details.  LOTS of driving and LOTS of great shooting!  Good Luck PJ!

Miss Elie's First Day of PreK 4

Our Upstairs Thiots

Miss Elie started her first week of Pre K 4 year old class this week.  It's all day and that is a little hard to adjust too.  She is going to be great.  We sure miss her at our house.  Can't wait for a visit soon we are hoping. Sky made a magnificent hamburger for lunch on Saturday.  A hamburger patty, a over easy egg, a strip of bacon in a ciabatta bun.  Oh my.  Talk about goodness in a bun.  WOWSERS!

I was lucky enough to have the early bird assisgnment at the temple on Monday morning.  I love arriving in the dark and getting to snap a picture of the beautiful angel on his spire.  I love hearing the water fountains and even a few birds are singing before the sun comes up.  It's my happy place for sure.
A friend reccomended the movie, Finding Forrester to us and Dick and I watched it.  When I was walking through Home Goods on my way home from the temple, I spied this pillow and somehow this dog reminded me of Forrester,  a lover of books and a great author too.
Speaking of books, when Charlie was a little boy, his favorite book was the Happy Man and His Dump Truck.  I have a friend who was turning two this week named Levi.  I had told Levi about this book before one day when we rode to the airport together.  I couldn't wait to fin his his very own copy.
His Mom says he loves it and they had to read it five times after I dropped it off to him.
I was invited to help facilitate a Self Reliance group starting next week.  We have our training meeting tonight and I enjoyed studying the book on how to be a facilitator.  Dick and I have done it together before but this time I will do it with my friend Gemie.
Part of my responsibility of Primary Secretary is sending birthday cards to the children and teachers.  I loved this funny card with the sparkly teeth on this horse.  It reminded me of when Pierce grew his permanant teeth and they were beautiful and big and he used to say he had horsey teeth.  I couldn't resist sending this picture to the Pierce.  He knew just what I was talking about without any words needed.
The missionaries came for dinner on Mom Mom's birthday and we made Breakfast for Dinner with cinnamon rolls included.  Yum! We loved thinking about Mom Mom all day long
My friend Sister Dyer lost her husband last December.  She calls him Pop and when this new donut store opened up in our neihgborrhood, I knew I simple must take Sister Dyer a  donut from Pop Donuts.
She lives close by the temple, so on Friday when I got to serve again, I took her a Pop Donut and we enjoyed a fun visit.  Oh how I love Sister Dyer.  She is dear to my heart.
Does this little face melt your heart? It does mine.  He is the nephew of my friend Ruthie.  Our Primary Presidency took his family dinner this week to welcome him to this world.  I love getting to serve others.  Such a darling little boy. (not too little 9lbs 8 oz.)

We Plano Thiots

It's been a good week and I've found good things to do each day.  I was invited back to the Family History Center and I went on Wednesday to see if I could remember how to help people who come in.  It was a sweet morning to be there and I'm looking forward to joining back in.

Dick has been busy and is lookng forward to my cousin Steve coming to town next week.  They are hoping to play two rounds of golf at two different coursed on Wednesday.  What fun!  I hope you've had a good week and that you are ready for this one coming our way.  Sure love y'all. Robynn
