Our Mansfield Thiots
Monday morning brought the arrival of a sweet new baby girl to Becky's brother and his wife.  Little Reegan Elaine was born and the girls are delighted to have a new baby girl cousin.  She is the first cousin on Becky's side of the family.  She shares her middle name with her Nana, Becky's mom is Diane Elaine.  We love that name.  Ricky and Becky are excited to get to go meet her later in May.
Addison had her next to the last Soccer game on Saturday afternoon and Dick and I were lucky enough to get to attend.  She did great and it was fun to cheer her on to a WIN!  It was fun to see Brooklyn and Harper too and I loved playing, Grammy, What's in your bag with Miss Harper. Speaking of Miss Harper, she was so proud to be sporting her Big Girl Panties.  We are all delighted that she is on the Potty Train!  Go Harper!

Saturday morning brought the departure of Jake's sweet Grandmother,Betty Hall Grange.  She met Jakes Grandfather James Stuart Grange when he was serving in the 101 Airborne in World War II. He always said he was swept of his feet by a beautiful cadet nurse whom he later married.  This beautiful picture was taken of her at Tatia and Jake's wedding.  She has been in failing health for the past couple of years and I'm sure she put a smile on her husbands face, Grandpa Grange, when she arrived in heaven.  Grandpa Grange passed away almost six years ago and I'm sure has been missing her.  Later this week, Jake will fly home to Washington to honor her at her funeral.  She will surely be missed.

Charlie, Keelie and Callum had a wonderful adventure on Saturday participating in the Mormon Helping Hands Project.  They loved getting to help clean up the area along the riverside and are looking forward to spending some time there later this summer when it warms up a bit.  They are great workers just like their dad.  Way to go Keelie and Callum!

It must have been a super busy week in California for Pierce, Stacy and Adelaide.  I haven't heard from them and hope all is well.  Dick got a picture of Adelaide in the blue bonnets that Stacy took while she was in town earlier this month.  The blue bonnets are a wonderful tradition that Lady Bird Johnson started to beutify Texas.  What a beautiful site they are and so fun to have photos taken in too.  What a cutie you are in those bluebonnets Adelaide!

Skyler is batching it this weekend while Kara has a getaway in Orlando, Florida.  She found some sweet airline tickets and took a friend to Florida where they are having a great time.  Sky couldn't get any vacation time and Kara was about to loose her four days so off she went.  I can't wait to hear all about it.  Earlier this week she joined her sister and friend and went to see The Sound Of Music on the big screen for it's 50th anniversary.  I can't believe I was seven when that movie came out.  I think I would love to see it in the theatre again too.  What fun.  I'm looking forward to seeing Skyler this afternoon.  He's coming for dinner.  Yahoo!

Dick has had a busy week and is preparing to teach the Temple Preparation Course which starts today and continues for the next few weeks.  What a great reminder it has been to look over those lessons and study them to realize the tremendous blessings that the temple brings to our lives.  Our temple is closed for Spring Cleaning for two weeks and it makes me miss it knowing we can't be there.  I must admit, I have not missed waking up quite so early on Friday mornings.
Dick and I both enjoyed getting to go to Mansfield on Saturday afternoon. Friday night there was a huge storm that made us wonder if the soccer field would have been under water on Saturday.  It's amazing how quickly those big storms arrive and then depart.  We were so blessed to not had any damage.  I hope your week has been filled with blessings.  SLY Robynn

Last Saturday, Brooklyn was out riding her scooter with her friend Jack and with her sisters and they were having a race.  Brooklyn was in the lead until she hit a rock or something that through her off balance and she landed on her left elbow on the side walk.  OUCH!  She kept ice on it all afternoon and when on Sunday morning, it was still nto feeling much better, off to Children's hospital they went and sure enough, her humorous bone was fractured.  OUCH.  They put a splint on it and gave her a snazzy sling and told her to call the orthopedic doctor to have it casted in a few days.  The soonest they could see her was on Friday and she got a bright red cast put on her.  I'm not sure why that bone is called the humerus bone, it is not humerus at all when it breaks.  Brooklyn is a lefty like her Mommy and is doing a good job of learning to write with her right to do school work.  We love you Brooklyn and hope you are feeling better soon.

March 22, 2015 was a mighty special day in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Our first Virginian Grandson was born and what a sweet little guy he is.  Dick and I were both there to get to meet him when he was only an hour old.  Tatia did great and Penny and Max are delighted to have a little brother.  They are both doing really well at being helpful and kind and SOFT with Little Oscar Henry Grange.  I love when Jake calls him Oscar the Grange and my sister wrote him a song, please sing to the Oscar Meyer Wiener jinge.

Keelie has Spring Break starting March 30th.  Charlie drove the kids to Salt Lake for the week to stay at aunt Lani's and have some fun.  When I heard they were coming, Dick made some quick plans for me to fly from Charlottesville to Salt lake to be there to surprise them.  I LOVED getting to do that Monday morning when they woke up.  It was great to be with them for a few days.  The Time went by way to quickly.  We took a train ride down town to temple sqare with grandpa great and got to have meet Dick and Aunt Marie for lunch.  We loved seeing all the flowers on temple square and loved the vistiors center.  Everything looked so pretty right before general conference.  Charlie made this video on his way home with his go camera on his dashboard.  Made that 10 hour drive look pretty quick!

Stacy and Adelaide came to town for Stacy's sister's baby shower while I was out of town.  Graypa loved having them over for Sunday dinner ang getting to play with Adelaide.  I loved it when I got home, Dick had left all the toys out that she had played with.  It made me happy thinking of her enjoying our fun toys.  Lady turned 22 months this week.  We will have two two year olds in Two more months!  FUN!!!

Sky and Kara have been busy with work and have made time for a little fun lately too.  They have been in their Dallas Apartment for one year this month and it's time to renew the lease.  They've been busy with getting that done this weekend.  They have been looking for a home to buy but haven't found the right spot quite yet, so one more year in the apartment. They have it fixed up so nice,  it would be hard for me to leave.  Good job  you two!  Last weekend Skyler won 4 tickets to the Nascar Race.  Ricky went with him and they had a great time.

Dick and I are both back home after four weeks of going different directions.  It's nice to be home. Dick returned saturday night from Florida where he was speaking at a computer trade show.  His classes went well and the best part of the show was the fact that it was held at a golf resort.  He "had" to play golf while he was there and it worked out that his buddy Rich was there and they were able to play together a couple of rounds. I picked him up Saturday night just in time to head to the Single Adult dance that we were able to chaperone, set up and clean up.  FUN and Late night.  We were glad that we had later church today.
I have spent a wonderful month in Virginia.  When Dick and I made my plans, we weren't sure when this new little guy would arrive.  Bless his heart he came right on his due date and I got to spent lots of time with them.  We made some great memories and I will write them down when by brain is working better.   It's good to be home!  SLY Robynn
