Our Mansfield Thiots
You might notice in looking at this picture that we are missing our lead Mansfield Thiot.  He was on the staircase taking our Thanksgiving Feast photo.  Little Miss Harper's chair is empty, because she is on her Grammy's lap where I love her to be.  Thank you Ricky for taking this picture. Now if you could photoshop yourself into your chair.  This is going to be a very wonderful week for our Mansfield Thiots. Let me tell you why. Ricky and Becky will have been married for 10 wonderful years on December 16 and have been planning for the past year to take an adventure.  They are heading to Aruba on Tuesday morning.  Nana Diane flew in yesterday on a great big United Jet and what a house filled with excited little ladies there was waiting her arrival. It's going to be FUN, FUN, FUN in Mansfield for the next week and a half.  Have a wonderful trip R&B.  Don't forget the sunscreen!!!

Our Charlottesville Granges
We certainly missed Miss Tatia and her famous Apple Pie this Thanksgiving.  Actually we missed each one of our Charlottesville Granges.  They have had a fun week celebrating their first snow fall of the winter and preparing for their very own Thanksgiving Three.  Yes, you heard me right, they celebrated 3 times with 3 different feast groups.  Miss Penny made the Pumpkin Pie and we think that may become a tradition, Penny's Pumpkin Pie.  I am hoping that Max made the Mashed Potatoes. The Third Feast came on Saturday and had another tradition that this is the second year for and that is traveling to Richmond, to Jake's cousin's home and making Gingerbread houses after the feast.  Talk about a fun tradition.  It takes a mighty organized hostess to pull that off.  It won't be happening here any time soon.  he he he.

Our Carmichael Thiots
Charlie's family kept busy this week.  I was trying to get some information from Charlie and so I tried calling him on his cell phone, I tried e-mailing him and then lastly, I tried texting  him.  When I did hear back in a few minutes, I'm not sure if he was irritated, or proud of all the modern technology I employed trying to find him.  You can't hide from Mama Thiot that is for sure.  I'll find you some how.  Mackenzie's parents hosted Thanksgiving at their home and Mackenzie used her magical cooking skills to make everything look and taste wonderful.  What fun memories, I loved the pictures of Keelie and Callum putting on their Christmas PJ's they received to wear as they dream about Christmas 2014!
Our L.A. Thiots
I am very happy to report that the LA Thiots are back home after a perfectly wonderful Thanksgiving Week of enjoying the beauties of California.  It turns out that Adelaide is a wonderful camping girl and loved getting to sleep in a tent and then wasn't too disappointed when the last two days were in a beach house.  Yes right on the beach.  Adelaide was certainly born in the right state.  She is a California girl in every way. She loves sand, surf, and sunshine.  I absolutely LOVED the few mornings that Pierce Facetimed me and let me share their adventurous week with them.  I'm glad you are home and I'm glad you had a good time.
Our Dallas Thiots
Can I tell you how wonderful it is to have our Dallas Thiots 30 minutes away from us?  It's the best. The little girls were sooooooooooo thrilled to have them at the Feast this year and our sweet Brooklyn designed and made Thankful Cards for many of our guests.  She must have spent hours getting them just right. Even Rocky the Dog received one with a special doggy treat taped to the inside.  Sky and Kara, with your hands so full of your take home doggy bag, you left your cards here, don't worry, I've put them in a safe place for you to take home on your next visit which I hope is soon.  Kara brought stuffing and mint pie to the Thanksgiving feast that we hope becomes a family tradition.

We Plano Thiots
This week started out very hard.  My sister Lani's little dog Simon who she adores, passed away.  Everyone is our family loves her Simon and it's been very very hard to have to say goodbye to him. It's a strange thing how attached we become to pets.  I know they aren't people, but there is definitely loving spirit inside of them which makes it painful when they leave.  Lani has taken such good care of Simon and I think my little brother said it best when he said that Simon couldn't have had a better life or been loved more by anyone else.  He was a lucky little dog and we will all miss him.  We've all been hunting through our pictures we have of him and have found some treasures.  I love you Lani and I'm so sorry for your loss. Thankfully, it's been a very busy week and keeping busy helps heal our wounds.
Dick and I have a wonderful time on Tuesday when we got to have lunch with Aunt Betty (Uncle Charlie's wife) and her daughter Cindy.  We met them in McKinney at Chili's and spent a couple of hours catching up.  She had her 90th birthday this year and all her kids were able to join her.  They said that they partied for 3 days!  I guess when you turn 90 and can party for 3 days that you should!  She still has more energy than most of us, does amazing crafts and participates in lots of fun activities where she lives.  We love getting to see her around each Thanksgiving when she comes for a visit.  We love you Aunt Betty!

Wednesday morning I met our sweet Becky at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine and picked up THREE little Thiot Girls. Can you believe she let me have Harper too?  Grammy camp was on it's way.  We loaded up and we always say, "All Set?" then I wait for the reply from the back seat, "YOU BET!!!"  That means everyone is seat belted and ready to roll.  When we bought my Tahoe five years ago, it had a built in dvd player. I knew I could be the funnest Grammy in town if I had movies on board.  Well it wasn't too long before it quit working.  Ugggg.  I was disappointed and the girls always mentioned it when they were in my car.  I never knew where to take it to have it repaired or see if it could be fixed.  Dick found a spot that put tinting on his windows of his new car and I took it there a few weeks ago.  A  nice man named Todd climbed into my back seat and started fiddling with it.  He asked for the remote, checked the batteries and said, "your batteries are corroded."  Those might be the happiest words I have heard in a while.  He went back inside and replaced the batteries and came back out and in just a few minutes had things working.  I nearly hugged Todd when I asked for the bill and he said, "It's on me, Have a great afternoon!"  So with the movie Planes playing on the DVD, we headed to Frisco where we met up with Kinsley Kate and her mom and brothers at McDonalds.  After a yummy lunch and some time on a very fun playground we headed to the Hobby Lobby where the girls got to choose fabric to make new dancing skirts.  We had made dancing skirts 3 years ago and guess, what, they still love those, but they are getting short.  So Kinsley chose hot pink, Brooklyn choose icie blue, Addison choose a royal violet and Harper picked a sweet pink.  Oh my, we borrowed the fabric ladies tape measurer and measured for length and said a silent prayer as I put my deliquent math skills to work and figured out yardage.  Then came home, put Miss Harper down for a nap, put on Beauty and the Beast to watch while we got started.  Each little girl had to sew their own while sitting on Grammy's lap. I often wonder if helpers speed up the process or slow it down. I think you know the answer, but it was so fun. We talked about serger sewing machines and how some folks call them Baby Locks. I call mine Ellie because she is an Elna sewing Machine and she came to me in a very magical way.  She was delivered to my front porch one day without a note and the only way I knew who loved me and sent her to me was that she had a tiny plate on her that read Dave's Bernina.  My sweet uncle David had received her on a trade in and mailed her to me. I love her and have sewn many fun things on her for many years, but sewing circle skirts with Granddaughters is a favorite.  Thank you Uncle David!  The skirts were a hit and the dancing and spinning was a success! We were sure to be ready for the dance that would follow our Thanksgiving Feast this year.

We were also assigned to make the place cards for the Thanksgiving table so we made teepees with everyone's name on them.  Super Cute. Addison had a homework project for school where she had to decorate a Ginger Bread Girl who would hang on the wall of her kindergarten class room.  We simply could not resist having all of us make one too.  So I found some brown gingerbread looking paper and cut out 3 more. We made circle skirts for our cookie girls out of the scraps from the girls.  We even had Miss Penny on face time creating one.  We were wishing that California time wasn't two hours earlier or we would have had Keelie and Adelaide too.  Next time girls.
We packed lots of fun into our 30 hours of Grammy Camp.  I think it was extra fun to have our little Harper with us this time. You are supposed to be on the "Potty Train" to come, but she just couldn't wait.
What sweet little "Helpers" they were to get ready for our Thanksgiving Feast.  I couldn't have done it without them or without Graypa who was a lovely assistant as well.  Whew, I'm sure you are as tired of reading about Grammy Camp as I was of hosting it.  Have a wonderful week ya'll.  December is tomorrow and I can hardly wait!  SLY Robynn

Good Bye Little Simon

Simon Samuel Lawrence

Born October 2, 2004
Died November 24, 2014

Sometimes in life we think we would choose a big package over a small one, but in truth, great things come in small packages and that is certainly true about Lani’s little Simon.
For the past 10 years, he has brought joy and happiness into her home.  From greeting her at the door when she came home, to waiting on the top step at mom and dad’s for her to come home at 5:30 every day. She rarely ran an errand without him coming along even into store riding in his cute purse carrier.
He had a remarkable  built in clock that knew when it was time for breakfast and for dinner. Within five minutes, he was amazing.
He was blessed to be able to go to his grandparents puppy day care during the week.  I can still hear Gram’s voice saying, “Good morning Simee,  I just love you so  much!”  She did love him and so does Dad.  He was in charge of feeding him and was known to sneak and give him a bit of his own meal.  Simon had a very special place in both of their hearts.
Simon spent his last day on earth at dad’s and dad built him a fire and moved his bed over by the fireplace.  He enjoyed snoozing there and dad stayed close by him all day.  He had a dr. apt and his doctor told Lani he thought he could help him to feel better.  We all were relieved and happy thinking he could get better.  But he had to go home to heaven to get feeling better.
Lani told me this morning that he must be running and jumping and doing all the things that have been so hard for him the past few years.
A wise man said, “Grief is the price we pay for loving someone – and that price is worth it.” Steven Eastmond, “The Healing Power of Grief,” Ensign January 2014
What an appropriate week for Simon to depart from this life.  The week of Thanksgiving is when we truly take time to recognize our blessings and all that the Lord has blessed us with.  I’m so grateful that Simon has blessed all of us and especially our Lani with his great love and lots of good licking.
Simon Samuel, We love you. You will be greatly missed and never ever forgotten.  Tell Gram and Dante’ hi for us.
Our Tatia is going to make Lani a book about Simon, if you have photos or memories, please e-mail them to Tatia.Thiot@gmail.com as soon as you can.  SLY Aunt Rob, Mom

Our Mansfield Thiots
The Mansfield School District has no school all week for our Thanksgiving Break.  How blessed Brooklyn and Addison are to get to be home this whole week.  Yipee!  I'm looking forward to having them for a couple of days at my house this week.  Yipee!  On Friday afternoon I called and was able to face time with them for a little while.  I loved getting to see them and visit face to face. I'm THANKFUL for modern Technology I'm looking forward to Wednesday girls!
Penny and Tatia made this cute countdown to Christmas "Project" on Saturday.
Our Charlottesville Granges
This was haircut week for Penny and Maxwell.  Tatia was not very impressed with the gal who did the work.  Miss Penny's bangs were a lot crooked but Tatia was able to fix them and now they are a little short.  But we all know that hair Grows and for that we are THANKFUL!  Max was sitting pretty still until she turned on the clippers and he jerked.  oops, Max got some short side walls, but once again hair grows.
Our Carmichael Thiots
Charlie stayed home from work on Monday with a horrible head ache.  He couldn't figure out if it was allergies or a crummy cold coming on.  I'm glad you are feeling better.  I'm THANKFUL for good medicine that can help us cope with crummy sickness. Keelie and Callum had a fun day on Friday when Mackenzie's little sister Keltzie was in town.  They went to the Apple Hill Farms for some fun.  I am THANKFUL for wonderful aunts who come to town that make us happy.
Adelaide trying to figure out how that solar turkey works
Our L.A. Thiots
If you are ever not feeling cheerie, put in a phone call to Little Miss Adelaide and ask her what a bear says and follow that by every other animal sound  you can think of.  Oh my goodness, I am THANKFUL for that little Lady and for her darling parents who have taught her well.  That girl knows her animal sounds and she is learning many helpful words in sign language.  It is so fun to see her on face time.  They are heading on a Thanksgiving Camping Adventure this week.  They promised to send pictures along the way.  I can't wait.

Our Dallas Thiots
Kara and Sky both had busy weeks at work and celebrated surviving the week by going to the Dallas Art Museum on Friday night for it's Late Night event.  They are THANKFUL to live so close to down town so that they can take advantage of all the wonderful cultural things that are often free and enrich their lives.  I was able to wake up early on Saturday morning, while Kara was serving in the temple and finish the dresses we started a couple of weeks ago.  What fun!

We Plano Thiots
On Monday afternoon, Dick and I headed south on Highway 45 to Houston.  Dick had to meet with a customer on Tuesday at 1:00 and he invited me to come along with him.  He promised me a trip to the Houston Temple on Tuesday morning if I came along.  I am so THANKFUL that I said yes and went with.  The Houston Temple is so pretty and after our temple had been closed for a month, it was lovely to be in the House of the Lord.  THANK YOU Dick for inviting me and I loved getting to spend all that traveling time together.  I am so THANKFUL for you!
Another thing I am THANKFUL for is Family History.  My Dad and I have been writing some stories to put on the Family Search website where you can add memories and stories.  We wrote one about both his Mom, my grandma and his Dad, my grandpa.  Last Sunday we wrote about his brother Uncle Howard and today we are going to work on one about Uncle Albert.  I have loved doing this with dad and learning more about him and his family.  I am sure THANKFUL for my Dad and for taking time to talk with me every day.  That has been one of the only good things I have found since my Mom passed away, getting to talk to my dad more often.  This week he went over to his neighbors who have grape vines but don't have the time to harvest or preserve the grape juice.  He went and picked two big bushels of grapes and steamed them in a juicer and made 17 quarts of grape juice.  He said he hadn't worked that hard in a long time but felt good about not letting those grapes go to waste.  Way to go dad!  I'm THANKFUL for your Good Example every day.

BYU had their last home football game last night.  Last Spring, when it was time to order the tickets, he was wondering if he should order the tickets.  Lani told him go for it and he has been glad he did.  It is especially fun to go when those cougars win which they did last night, but he still enjoys going even if they don't.  He loved last week with his grandson Chan and he's gone with Jeffrey to a couple and Ric went to one and Dick loved going with him to the season opener.  I even watched yesterdays game on TV.  That is a first for me.  I kept watching for them to show Jeff and Dad sitting in the cold cold rain.  I was grateful after they were so far ahead that Jeff and dad headed for home after half time.  I'm THANKFUL dad has had some fun things to look forward to in these past few sad months.
I'm looking forward to Thursday, Thanksgiving. I'm grateful for each one of you and hope you know that.  SLY Robynn

Brooklyn at her Veterans Day Program on Tuesday morning
Brooklyn, Addison, Harper at the Primary Program
Our Mansfield Thiots

Last Sunday we were blessed to attend the Primary Program for our Mansfield Thiots.  Their Primary is HUGE. Probably 3 or 4 times bigger than our ward.  The singing was magnificent and Brooklyn and Addison did SUPER on their talks.  Ricky's Primary Class did great too.  Sky and Kara surprised us and came too.  We all Loved it.  After a yummy lunch, the big girls and I had fun making turkeys out of an empty roll of toilet paper and paint chips.  We love doing "projects" as Miss Penny calls them.  It was fun.  Addison and Harper have been under the weather this week.  I'm praying and hoping that they are feeling better.
Maxwell shopping for a warm hat
Penny shopping for a new baby brother coming in the Spring
Our Charlottesville Granges
This week was filled with lots of fun things.  It was the Granges turn for the Friday night date night babysitting.  Penny and Max loved having their friends over and Tatia is glad it's over.  Just kidding, she said the kids played well and they had a fun time.  Two hours can be kind of L O N G.  The library was having their annual sale on Saturday and Jake and Tatia were excited to go.  I can't wait to hear if they were able to stick to their ten dollar budget or if they are now shopping for a new bookcase to store their new acquisitions in.  Books are a love that whole family shares.

Our Carmichael Thiots
The fall soccer season finished it's final game on Saturday and Keelie's team brought home a great big win.  It's always more fun when the final score is in your favor.  Keelie, much like her mom and dad is an amazing soccer player.  She knows the game, she knows how to score and she knows how to have a really good time doing it.  Callum is looking forward to joining a team and playing too.  He's a great supportive brother to watch and cheer Keelie on.
My Wall of Fame FAMILY
 Our L.A. Thiots
There has been a bad sick bug in Los Angeles just like in Mansfield.  Everyone has had a turn and I hope by now it has moved itself on out of their home.  Stacy was a big help in helping me order some updated family pics to put in my frames in my room.  It's great to have the new ones hanging on my wall.  Thank you Stacy for sharing your talent with our family.  You are amazing!

Skyler's new office building.
Our Dallas Thiots
Skyler landed some great Mavs tickets and was there was the slaughter of the Philadelphia 76ers. Fifty some points ahead is quite remarkable.  Sky had a great time. Yesterday was the last Saturday that our Dallas Temple will be closed for our Fall remodeling.  Kara was invited by her sister to help at a Craft Fair she entered her amazing crafts in.  Sky was home alone Saturday morning and gave himself a haircut and was doing some organizing.  Love it!  Dick and I were running errands and we drove by Skyler's new office.  It was fun to see where he works and I was glad he didn't have to be there on Saturday.
This is where Dick has been working when he goes to SLC
Crock Pots filled with Heavenly Soup
Cutest Pumpkin Soup Bowls EVER
We Plain-O Thiots
Dick was in Salt Lake this week and got to see his first snowfall of the season. Burr it was cold but he said it was beautiful.  Something about the first that is always wonderful as is the last in the spring when everyone is tired of the cold. Dick enjoyed getting to spend a little time with my dad.  Thanks for letting him stay with you Dad.  You are the best! Dick got to work on Monday and was surprised by a Souper Bowl Lunch.  Those are the cutest soup bowls I have ever seen.
Nicest 8 year old boy I know!
I was invited to Oliver's 8th Birthday Party this week.  What fun it was to see Cousin Pammy in action.  She's a great Mommy and a fantastic Party giver.  It was a Lego Party Theme and the kids all had a great time as did I.  Thanks for inviting me.

Today is Pammy's nephew's Missionary Farewell.  Riley Richards is going to the New York City North Mission.  Skyler served close by in the New York City South Mission.  Riley will be speaking Spanish where Sky spoke Russian.  Great adventures await him I am sure.  Pammy was lucky enough to be able to fly in for the farewell.  We are there in Spirit. :)
These are my two friends who serve in the Family History Center with me on Thursdays.  Smart Ladies who I love
I was home alone this week and caught a bug myself.  I was so grateful to be able to go to the doctor and get some medicine and that I am now feeling much improved. Thank goodness for the Hallmark Channel with 24 hour a day Christmas movies.  They are good company when you can't sleep.
It's good to have Dick home and I'm hoping for a more productive week this week.  I hope you have had a good one thinking of those wonderful Veterans in your lives.  SLY Robynn

Our Mansfield Thiots
This photo was taken at White Rock Lake in Dallas.  Ricky had a fun evening with a group of dental students from Baylor Dental School for his company.  He was just right in time to catch this gorgeous sun set over the lake.  I'm glad to report Ricky is feeling better but the bug landed on our sweet Brooklyn.  I hope she is feeling better.  Today is the Primary Sacrament Meeting Program in the Mansfield 2nd Ward and I sure hope she is going to feel well enough to be a part of it.  Dick and I are planning on going.  It's going to be great to see Ricky, Brooklyn and Addison in the program.  Ricky has loved teaching Primary this year.  He is one great Primary teacher and the kids in his class love him.  I can tell you the reason why.  He makes everything FUN.  He knows how to teach the Gospel and help those little ones grow their testimonies.  Lucky kids in his class.
Our Charlottesville Granges
What a fun weekend the Granges have had.  Another great family they met in med school came to Charlottesville for a Conference and they loved getting to spend time with them.  The Garzas are an amazing couple and they have two darling little girls.  Penny LOVED getting to play with them and Max did too.  There is something wonderful about seeing friends from "Home".  It's almost as fun as going Home yourself.  I've been smiling all weekend thinking about them being together.  Friday was Tatia's 21 week ultra sound and they got to find out what Grange Baby number three is.  I'll let her share on her blog with you.
Our Carmichael Thiots
One of my mom's favorite things in the world, were these silly solar dancing toys.  The dollar tree makes them for all the different holidays during the year and last year the thanksgiving ones were especially cute.  They made pilgrims and turkeys and I had sent them to Callum and Keelie and their turkey lost his dancing.  I asked Mackenzie if she could go to the Dollar Tree by them and get a new turkey.  I hope she got a working one because there really isn't much of anything cuter than to see a turkey doing the Happy Dance.  My mom would always tell me that those silly things made her happy.  I always think of her when I look at mine dancing away in my kitchen window.
Our L.A. Thiots
I had a very fun face time visit with Pierce, Stacy and Lady on Saturday.  She had gotten the book Ten Fat Turkeys in the mail and wanted to show me.  I LOVED getting to see her and read the story together.  Her favorite page was the inside cover where I had put a picture of Graypa and I with all our sweet grandchildren.  Stacy said she loved pointing to each of them and having her tell them everyones names.  Then Stacy would say the names and Lady would point to them. She is amazing and knew her cute cousins.  That made me sooooooooo happy.  The sick bug has landed in LA but we are hoping it is on it's way out of town.  Everyone got a turn and I hope everybody is feeling much better now.

Our Dallas Thiots
Tuesday, Election Day, Sky was going to come to Plano to vote and low and behold, his boss left him with a project that kept him working over the lunch hour.  I had offered to treat him to lunch at What a burger if he came, but when it didn't work, we rescheduled for Wednesday night.  What a burger is tasty no matter what day of the week it is.  It was great to see him and Kara and we made plans for a sewing day on Saturday to make a dress for her to take on their Christmas trip.  We had a fun Saturday afternoon and made some good headway on the dress.
We Plan-0 Thiots
This fun picture surfaced this week. It was taken in April of 1991.  Pierce is standing next to my sister Lani then it my sister Laurie and me.  Oh my goodness, Sisters are the very best that is for sure. It was taken the night before me moved back to Texas.  I love finding old pictures and getting to remember times long ago.
This week was kind of a changing week.  Dick and I had made plans to go to the temple in Houston while he had a business meeting there, but that was changed.  Brooklyn and Addison were going to come for a sleep over on Friday night, but Brooklyn was sick so that was changed.  Some times plans are changed and we don't really understand at the time, but it all works out. I had a very fun visit on Monday afternoon from Rebecca, Kinsley Kate, Luke and Owen.  It had been too long since I had seen them.  Oh how I love their family.  Ben is recovering from a broken toe which has proved to be a very miserable experience.  He would not recommend it to anyone.

Dick is having some of the busiest days of his life right now.  Lots of deadlines, lots of projects in the works that need to be competed.  He's worked early in the morning until late at night and I wish I was smart enough to help him.  I keep reminding him to ask for help, both people here on earth and heavenly help.  I'm sure he will be so glad when this is behind him.  He leaves early in the morning for a week in Salt Lake.  Good Luck honey, you are in my prayers.

Have a great second week of November.  I love this time of year when we focus on our blessings and those people and things that we are so grateful for.  I love our Thankful Tree under my stairs.  I count you all as my blessings.  SLY Robynn

The Week of Halloween!

Sunday, November 02, 2014

Our Mansfield Thiots
Halloween week was a good one in Mansfield until a bad bug moved into Ricky's body leaving him feeling pretty crummy.  I hope with another day of rest, he can be back to his fun, feeling good self. He and Brooklyn did bring home the best costume prizes from their neighborhood Halloween Party on Thursday night.  They were both Thrilled.  Becky told me her girls start planning for Halloween almost a year in advance.  She does a great job making their wishes come true. We loved having them come to our wards Trunk or Treat on Halloween and also join us for a halloween dinner too.  I was able to go to Mansfield on Tuesday afternoon and it was so fun when I picked up the girls at school to get to go to their school book fair.  I LOVE Scholastic Book Fairs.  It brought back fun memories of book fairs at Wells Elementary when my big boys took turns dressing up as Clifford the BIG red dog.  What Fun!

Our Charlottesville Granges
Penny and Maxwell loved Halloween and loved dressing up as a bride and groom together.  The cutest thing was when on Halloween afternoon, they went to the mall to play at the play ground. Penny wanted to wear her wedding dress and Maxwell insisted on wearing his suit.  Tatia thought he would want to put on play clothes, nope, he loved sporting his suit and tie.  Sooooo cute! They went to a ward Halloween Party on Wednesday night that the youth sponsored and had a very fun time. Tatia got to go to Super Saturday yesteday when Jake made it home just in time for her to go.  She made some darling ornaments and even won a prize of a gorgeous arrangement of Hydrangas that look so pretty with her Thanksgiving decoraations.  Go T!!!

Our Carmichael Thiots
Early in October when I was in Sacramento, Mackenzie told me about her costume ideas for the kids for Halloween.  I LOVED how they turned out.  Never a cuter Mary Poppins and Burt I am sure.  Way to go kids and way to go Kenzie!!!!!  Well done for sure! Every time I look at this picture I can't stop humming, "Oh, it's a jolly holiday with Mary" and "Chim Chiminey Chim Chiminey Chim Chim Chereroo, a sweep is as lucky as...." Keelie had a soccer game on Saturday afternoon.  I hope the score ended just how they wanted with a win!

Our L.A. Thiots
Our little marsmarshmallowf girl and her dad the Green Slimer were a hit on Halloween in their  neighborhood.  Pierce said he had never seen so many tricker treaters in his life except on a movie. it was awesome.  They were going to just go to a few houses, but Miss Adelaide was quite enjoying the whole experience.  What fun phots.  Thanks Stacy for sending them my way.  One of my favorite parts of halloween was when we were able to have a slide show of all the family pictures Stacy took on our summer vacation.  They were sure worth the wait.  We loved seeing them together.  Thanks!!!

Our Dallas Thiots
Sky and Kara joined us for Halloween Trunk or Treat at our ward too. Sky came dressed as a Man in black and Kara was a lumberjack character from one of their favorite TV shows.  Everything is always more fun with the more family there.  Sky had a fun thing at work this week.  Each office building is required to have a certain amount of Fire Drills to stay in compliance with the Safety board.  It was his buildings turn this week and to make it a little more enticing for people to participate, they hired a Fire Engine which was really a Food Truck and served everyone PIZZA baked on the truck  You can bet they had great participation. What a smart office building!

Skyler scored some good, great, FABULOUS Mavs vs Jazz tickets on Thursday night and Dick was only TOO Happy to join him. The Mavs outplayed the Jazz and made for a great night!

We Plano Thiots
Tatia asked me to send her a picture with all of us together on Halloween.  Ricky was able to squeeze us all into his Selfie.  I LOVED having a Veterinarian , Queen Elsa, Princess Sophia, a darling lumberjack, a man in black, a professional golfer, a pretty pirate and a very realistic pirate all at our home.  FUN!!!!
Earlier in the week, Elder Maloney called wondering if I could make him some Indian Pants and a poncho for him to wear trick or treating.  He brought me some fabric and in one hours time, it turned out pretty good. He was thrilled.  It was interesting  fun how they ended up twins with the sister missionaries.   Trunk or treat was especially fun with them there passing out pass along cards. I hope your Week of Halloween was a good one too.  Enjoy your EXTRA Hour Today! Sure love you,  Robynn
