Our Mansfield Thiots
What a fun time was had quickly when Aunt Erin was in town with her awesome Volleyball team from Las Vegas.  The girls and Ricky loved going to the tournament held in Dallas and helped her cheer her team on to victory!  There is nothing like family and even quick visits are WONDERFUL.  We loved having Ricky and the girls on Easter.  They looked darling and I'm sad that Tatia, our photographer, was not here to document the wonderful celebration.  She was always ready with her camera and I am not.  Take my work for it, they looked darling in their lavendar dresses all three of them and Becky was darling in her hot pink skirt and darling white top.  Ricky looked amazing in his purple striped shirt and tie.  Good looking group! If you guys got a photo, send it my way! Brooklyn has her first loose tooth!  HOORAY!!!!

Tatia's family got two Easter invites which made me smile.  They were invited to Easter Brunch at one of Jake's co-workers home.  They had a fun time and left just in time for the drive to Richmond for Easter Dinner with Jake' Cousins in-laws.  There were lots of people there but only a few little ones and Penny and Max had a great time and looked darling in their Easter clothes.

Charlie's family had a wonderful weeks vacation and got home just in time for Easter Sunday.  The Easter bunny left his delivery for them at Grandma and Grandpa Smiths home.  What a smart bunny.  They drove down the coast to LA and got some fun beach time then drove on to St. George, Utah and stayed at my parents condo there and had a great time at Zions National Park and exploring around St. George.  On their drive home they went by way of Salt Lake and got in some fun time there with my parents and siblings and with Kenzie's sister and her hubby.  What a lot of great memories they made.

We had a fun face time visit with our Little Lady after the Easter festivities.  She was splish splashing away in her tubby and having the time of her life.  Everything she does, she seems to do with vim and vigor and lots of smiling.  I loved this photo Stacy took earlier in the week with her holding her first colored Easter Eggs.  She was loving it I can just tell.  What a cutie you are Little Lady!

Kara baked the cutest Easter Bunny Cake for our Easter Celebration here. It turned out so cute and was delicious.  Thanks Kara for sharing your talents with us.  Skyler and Dick were a great set up team.  We had our Easter Dinner picnic style in the backyard.  The weather cooperated perfectly and didn't start to sprinkle until the last bite of cake was eaten.  Thanks for ALL your help upstairs Thiots  I bet they are going to be so glad to get settled into their new apartment and not have to be the helpers quite so often.

We Not So Empty Nesters
This has been a very nice week.  It always takes me a little time to acclimate to being back home after being away.  My mom and I started reading a series of books that I have been enjoying since being back home. When Dick calls to say he will be late, he knows it's not a problem as I've got a fun book to enjoy.  I went to the library and got three of them and I've finished the first two and am in the middle of number three.  This might be part of the reason the Thiot Times never happened last week and is delayed this week. I wish I was a more disciplined reader.  I just want to finish the book and then start the next.  Funny old woman I am.
Today is a WONDERFUL, Magical day for my brother Ric's family.  There sweet Missionary Elder Chandler Birks who has served for the past 24 months in the Texas Houston South Spanish Speaking Mission is RETURNING!  That is the best day ever!  I was wishing his flight went through Dallas and that we could go give him a hug, no such luck.  I'll be thinking about you all today and smiling.  SLY Robynn

General Conference Week

Our Mansfield Thiots
Ricky's family was invited over to their good friends home on Sunday Morning for Conference and Brunch. He sent me a picture of Brooklyn and Addison sitting with their two good friends listening to General Conference and enjoying each others company.  Conference weekends are my two favorites of the whole year.  Feasting upon the spirit surrounded by family and even in your jammies if you choose to.  I know it's not easy with little ones, but what smart parents to make it fun and so they too will grow up loving Conference weekends too.

During Saturday morning's conference, Tatia's family got to have the sister missionaries over to enjoy it with them.  Penny and Max were delighted to have them and were very good listeners too.  Max's nap time came during morning session so he got to nap during it and will have to read it in the ensign next month when it comes out. On Sunday, they invited a family that was recently baptized to enjoy it with them.  Their ended up being six little children and a lot of fun was had and Tatia said she will enjoy relistening on the internet.  I LOVE Conference.

Charlie, being the smarty pants that he is, figured out how to listen/watch on his phone and some how beam it up to his telivsion set so everyone could see and enjoy it at home instead of going to the chapel to listen.  I always loved having the prophets voice right in our home and filling it to the brim with that wonderful spirit.  When Char was younger, we always teased him that he slept through conference, he always assured us he was in fact listening and he told me now days, he is wide awake and no problem sleeping.  Go Char! Keelie had a fun birthday this week and says Six is pretty great.  They went to her favorite Pizza place for dinner and games and she loved bowling with her and her daddy.

My phone rang Sunday morning and it was Pierce's family calling to say hi with a face time call.  That is truly the next best thing to being together for sure. Miss Adelaide was talking talking, what a sweet little voice she has.  I loved seeing their family all together and they were all excited for the upcoming conference too.  I'm glad to report that Stacy is feeling much improved after her crazy kidney stone weekend last weekend.  What mean little stones those are.

Possibly my favorite phone call of the week came from a very happy Skyler telling me that "I got the job Mom!"  Happy Days. Today is his first day and you are in my prayers for a very happy first day.  He will be working in down town Dallas and will give riding the Dart Train a trial to see how the timing works out and then they will widen their house hunting/apartment shopping to an area closer to work.  It's been so fun to have them close by but I now they are anxious to have their own place with their own stuff.
We Traveling Thiots
Last week, Dick was in Irvine, Californina and this week he is in Phoenix, Arizona presenting at Spectrum, a tech conference there.  He will be there through Saturday as he is staying on an extra day to go to a Diamand Back Baseball came and play a round of golf. Pierce's family is hoping to drive over and meet up with him for the ballgame.  Oh how I hope that works out.  He would love it.  Good luck on your presentations this week honey!
I am in Sandy, Utah until Saturday.  It's been so good to be here and I LOVED watching Conference so close to the Conference Center.  I loved knowing that Dick and my kids were all watching too. It was nearly as good as all being in the same room together.  I loved hearing who their favorite speakers where and what they thought was said just for them. It was a wonderful, spiritual feast for the past few days.  I'm anxious to watch again on the internet and review my notes and improve my life.  I love you all so much.  Have an egg-stra nice week.  SLY Robynn

Our Mansfield Thiots
Thirty Four years ago today, Ricky joined our family.  He was born early Monday morning in a huge snow storm. He has been a joy nearly every day since.  There were a few times he had to get out of the car and walk the rest of the way home when he would not stop teasing his brothers. We love you Ricky Thiot.
Our Charlottesville Granges
Tatia's family had the sister missionaries for dinner on Sunday afternoon. Penny loved having them over and wanted to do the very same things this time as they had done last time. They played the same games and had to take photos on the back deck again.  What fun. This week our Mr. Maxwell will turn 1 year old.  I can't believe we've had him in our family for a whole year.  We love you Max!
Our Carmichael Thiots
Charlie's family had a wonderful time hosting Pierce's family on a quick vacation. They loved getting to know our sweet Adelaide and showing them some of their favorite spots in Sacramento.  This week our Keelie will celebrate her sixth birthday.  It's been a mighty fun six years having her in our family.  I love her more every day that goes by.  Happy Birthday Thursday Keelie!
Our L.A. Thiots
Pierce, Stacy and Adelaide jumped in their car and headed north last Saturday and spent the week driving up the California coastline and had a wonderful time. They took so many gorgeous photos that all look like they could be post cards.  I especially loved the ones with Adelaide in them.  So cute.  I also loved the picture of Pierce and Char together. It's a great feeling for a mom to have her kids together.
Our Upstairs Thiots
Sky and Kara had a good week and got to watch the Mansfield Thiot girls on Monday night so Ricky and Becky could go out to dinner to celebrate Ricky's 34th birthday.  I got to face time with Sky while he was tucking Brooklyn and Addison into bed. I loved seeing what a great uncle he is and how much they loved him.  Kara was tucking our little Harper in tight for the night.  Thanks for your kind ways, Sky and Kara.
We Empty Nester Thiots
Dick spent last week in Salt Lake working and called me on Tuesday and had a plan for me to come and join him here.  I had a dream that I brought Harper with me and would you believe, that dream came true.  Becky packed the cutest pink polka dot backpack for her 20 hour get away.  It was so fun for my mom to get to meet Harper.  She had only seen pictures and visited with face time a few times.  Harper was the perfect traveler and house guest.  We loved having her here and Dick loved getting to take her home on Friday afternoon. Once again a perfect little traveler.  Thanks Becky and Ricky for sharing her with us.
I get to stay in Salt Lake until the 12th.  It's nice to be here and get to be some help for my sweet parents.  I have also loved getting to see Laurie's grandchildren and I even got to meet my brother Jeff's newest addition, a little black 2 year old dog.  Fun times.  I enjoyed seeing my brother Ric and his sweet wife and it's fun to be so close by to Lani.  I hope you've had a great week and that nobody tricks you on April fools day today.  SLY Robynn
