Keelie flying a kite and loving it. K is for Keelie and Kites! Our Mansfield Thiot’s
This week in Mansfield had a great start. Our Carmichael Thiot’s went home with them on Sunday night and got to spend all day Monday with them before departing for home early Tuesday morning. They packed a lot of fun in those 24 hours that is for sure. They went to the Dallas aquarium at fair park and loved meeting all the fish and feeding the sting rays, then they were off to Cow Town in Fort Worth and arrived just in time to see the cattle drive come in. Oh what a thrill that was. Brooklyn and Addison couldn’t believe how wonderful it was to have cousins have a sleep over. They loved having Keelie and Callum with them and have missed them ever since they left. Ricky traveled to Austin, San Antonio and Houston this week. What a busy guy he was. Becky and the girls were home taking care of a nasty cold that moved into their home. Lots of tissues and nose wiping parties are being had. We love you Mansfield Thiot’s!
Our Lovers Lane Granges
Little Miss Penny Elaine turned 8 months old to begin this week. It’s interesting how fast 8 months go by. In some ways, I can’t even remember not having Miss Penny in our family. She is a dear little woman who I adore. Tatia and Penny came on a sleep over on Friday night. Jake was having an all nighter at the VA Hospital on call. While he was busy working, we were busy playing. We got to watch Dolphin Tails, a movie I would recommend highly. Then Saturday morning we woke up and started undoing Christmas. Tatia was a wonderful helper as was Miss Penny. I must admit that Penny was the most helpful during her nice morning nap. We got everything taken down and mostly packed into their totes and brought out some fun Valentines things and are looking quite festive once again. Thank you Tatia and Penny for all your good work.

When I opened my e-mail this morning, there were two pictures of my Keelie flying a kite. Some of my happiest memories of being a young mom were of watching my kids fly kites. When I saw Keelie with her kite, it brought those memories flooding right home to me. I’ve always loved kites and love to watch them and from the look on Keelie’s face, she shares that love too. It was so wonderful to have the Carmichael Thiot’s in Texas with us. I think it made me realize how much I miss them when they are at home. We packed lots of fun into our few days together and I’m so glad to have those sweet memories. One week from today, our sweet Callum will celebrate his One Year Old Birthday. I LOVED getting acquainted better with Callum. He is just as sweet and dear as he looks in his pictures. We miss you Carmichael Thiot’s
Our L.A. Thiot’s
Pierce and Stacy’s return trip home on Tuesday morning got off to a bumpy start when the computer system at Virgin America went down. They were not allowed to check in and the flight left without them. Fortunately, there was an afternoon flight they were able to get onto and they arrived home several hours later than they were expecting but arrived safely. Happy Day. It was sure fun to have them in town. We got to see them several times and enjoyed having them for a sleep over several nights too. Stacy was busy with her photography business while in town. I think she had 7 or 8 appointments while here. She has a great eye looking into a camera. We miss your L.A. Thiot’s too.
Our Provo Thiot’s
Skyler sent an e-mail reporting this week that this has been the very best week of his LIFE! Nothing could have made me any happier. They left early Monday morning, on two separate flight back to Utah. Kara left first and waited for Sky to join her in Salt Lake. Then a dear friend picked them up and shuttled them back to school with all their bags and boxes. Perhaps there should be a rule that when you get married away from home, all gifts should be able to fit in a small envelope. It’s going to be a little tricky to get everything to them, but fun. Several gifts had arrived at our house after they left and last night on Face Time, we got to open them together. Very fun to share in that fun. We miss our Provo Thiot’s but are glad you are getting settled in and doing well.

What a week it’s been just remembering all the happy and good times from last Weekender. Weddings are Wonderful and when they are shared with Christmas time too, almost Magical, and a tiny bit crazy. I loved every minute and am looking forward to a great 2012. Happy New Year Ya’ll, SLY Robynn
