Thiot’s Top Eleven

ELEVEN: Ricky went to work for Neuro Metrix as a Sales Rep and is traveling the roads of Texas and Oklahoma a LOT and Becky is expecting Baby Number 3 in June and is finally starting to feel better after a few months of morning sickness. Hooray!

TEN: Brooklyn started Preschool at the Little Hearts Preschool and LOVES it and Addison said goodbye to her binky and her crib and hello to a big girl bed. They are such fun little girls and we love seeing them often.

NINE: Tatia and Jake gave us our 4th Granddaughter on May 2nd. Penny Elaine Grange is a delight, just like her mommy was as a baby. We all adore her and love seeing her as much as we can.

EIGHT: Jake is in the middle of his 3rd year of Medical School and doing great. Tatia is enjoying being a full time Mommy to Penny and doing photo shoots for friends and family and enjoying her new sewing machine.

SEVEN: Charlie & Mackenzie gave us our very first Grandson in January. Callum Jay Thiot was born on the 15th of January. What a great way that was to start our new year. He may be the nicest, sweetest little boy ever, much like his daddy.

SIX: Keelie started preschool this year and is looking forward to being a Sunbeam in Primary in January and Loves being a big sister to her “best friend” Callum. Charlie and Kenzie are amazing parents to our two California grandchildren. We wish California was closer to Texas.

FIVE: Pierce Graduated from BYU in April and he and Stacy moved to San Francisco for his Internship and then was hired by Chiat Day, an amazing Advertizing Agency based out of L.A. where they relocated. They love the weather, the beach, company and making new friends there. Stacy continues to grow her photography business and works from home for a Property Management Company and serves in the L.A. Temple.

FOUR: Pierce won his first Addie Award last Spring. I’m sure it’s only the first for that talented man. Way to go Pierce!

THREE: Skyler has met and fallen in love with the darling Kara Neaves from Arlington, Texas this year. We couldn’t be happier and are all looking forward to their wedding on the 30th of December in the Dallas, Texas LDS Temple. Sky was also accepted into the Advertizing Program at BYU and his Kara will graduate in Communication and Broadcast Journalism in April.

TWO: Dick continues to be one of the busiest men in America but always makes time for the most important part of his life, his family. He enjoyed staffing a Wood badge Course for the Boy Scouts this fall and looks forward each day to serving the members of our Plano 4th Ward who he loves so much. Amazingly enough, he also holds down a full time job.

ONE: It’s kind of fun when you are the editor and chief of the Christmas letter, you get to be number 1. I’ve enjoyed 2011 and can’t believe how quickly it has passed. I am so grateful for our family. It’s wonderful to watch your kids grow up and become parents. If I searched the whole world over, I could not find better parents for my Grandchildren. I love this time of year, the music, the lights, the decoration and most of all, I love to think about my older brother Jesus Christ whose birth we celebrate.

Merry Christmas to All!
Sure Love ya’ll,

Dick & Robynn and Family

Dear Santa

All I want for Christmas is a visit from these 5 special little people in my life. I can hardly wait to see them all at the wedding.

Love,

Robynn

A License to Wed

Tuesday was the day that Skyler and Kara selected to go get their Marriage License. When Sky sent the pictures to Dick and me from the county courthouse, Dick replied with, " I guess they are really serious." Yes, it's seeming real to me too. 10 more days! We can hardly wait! PS The Tarrant County Clerk is a great photographer, they might should hire him to come to the wedding!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Our Mansfield Thiot’s
This has been a wonderful week. On Tuesday night, Dick and I were invited to go to Brooklyn’s Preschool Christmas program. Brooklyn was a Sheep in the play and as you may have guessed, there was never a cuter sheep than Brooklyn was. She did great on singing with her class. I loved being there. Thanks for inviting us Brooklyn. On Friday night, they were able to take a journey to Bethlehem and had a wonderful time. They got their a little later than they had hoped but were able to see everything they had wanted. It was cold in Bethlehem but they still loved it. Brooklyn loved seeing the camels and the sheep and Addison loved seeing the new baby Jesus. Saturday night, I got to watch the girls while Ricky and Becky had a date and I tended them at Miss Penny’s house. We had a good time playing together.
Our Lovers Lane Granges
Tatia’s Relief Society was in charge of their ward Christmas Party on Saturday night. She’s been working and working on getting everything ready . I volunteered to watch Miss Penny while she and Jake went so she wouldn’t have to worry about Penny and could do all she needed to do. They served a lovely dinner and then had activities that families to do throughout the evening. Tatia said it was a good time and she is also glad it’s over. She’s hoping Relief Society won’t be in charge of another ward activity any time soon. Penny turned seven months old on the 2nd of December. She is a very fun 7 month old and is learning new tricks every day.
Our Carmichael Thiot’s
Mackenzie hosted a Pampered Chef party this week and enjoyed having many friends over. What fun to get to see all the latest and greatest cooking gadgets to make cooking easier and more fun. Charlie sent me a picture last week of Keelie playing with her little people nativity. That is one of the smartest things fisher price has made. I love it that little kids can play with it and love it. So many Christmas things are not for children to touch and enjoy! Go Fisher Price!
Our L.A. Thiot’s
Pierce has had a very busy week in preparation of taking off some time for the Holidays. Stacy and Pierce leave on the 21st to come to Dallas. I can hardly wait to see them again. Pierce was a big help to me this week on a project I was working on. Oh it’s great to have talented kids that are willing to help me. Thanks Pierce and Stacy!
Our BYU Thiot
BYU finals week began yesterday. Skyler said this has been an incredibly busy week. He is going to be way relieved when the finals are behind him. Kara leaves on Wednesday and Skyler comes on Thursday. They will have two weeks to finalize all their wedding plans and get all their ducks in a row. This is a fun and a bit of a crazy time of year to have a wedding. I know it’s all going to be wonderful, it’s hard for my brain to focus on more than one thing at a time. I’m so excited for Sky and Kara and their big day! I am so delighted that they are getting married in our Dallas Temple that I love so much. It’s going to be awesome!
We Plano Thiot’s
It’s been a couple of weeks since the Thiot Times has been written and published. I kept waiting for inspiration of things to share and time to do it. It’s been a couple of crazy weeks and I finally decided, just do it NOW. I had a Christmas Miracle this very week that I wanted to share. Last Sunday, Tatia, Jake and Penny came over and spent a couple of days with us while Jake was working in the Plano/Frisco area. Tatia and Penny worked a miracle on our house and turned it into a Christmas house. Tatia is amazing and has lots of energy and sweet decorating skills. It was great fun to work with her and get our house looking good. Thank you soooooooooooooooo much Tatia and Thank You Jake and Penny too. It was so fun to have you here with us.
Dick has been sick with a crummy sinus infection and cold. I’m glad to report he is feeling better and said yesterday he thought he might be up to about 90%, which is good. He has been busy at work and as computers tend to do, they don’t’ always do what we expect. He’s spent many frustrating hours trying to get everything working correctly. It’s tithing settlement time of year for Bishops and even though it’s extra busy, Dick loves getting to visit with so many of our ward families. I’m a little selfish and will be glad when he is done so I can see him too. Well, two weeks from today will be Christmas. I can hardly wait! Have a great week. SLY Robynn
