 Our Mansfield Thiots

Ricky and Becky flew to Salt Lake City and rented a sporty white jeep and drove to St. George to meet the rest of  us at the reunion.  They were able to schedule two college campus visits for the girls to check out college life.  Both BYU Provo and BYU Idaho.  It's hard for me to believe Brooklyn will be a Senior this coming school year.  Addison and Harper will not be far behind.

Our Medford Granges

Tatia and Jake loaded up their mini van with lots of treats and lots of kids and headed to Utah.  We loved having them at the reunion.  They are great travelers. I was so proud of them.  We loved having them with us.  They stopped to see some fun things on their way.  Oh my goodness!

Our Folsom Thiots

Charlie and Jen had a bit crazier way to get to the reunion.  Charlie, Callum and Keelie drove the white Ram Pick up loaded to the brim with fun stuff, ie bikes, floating boats and everything else imaginable.  He even had a tripod for the family photo shoot.  Charlies days in Boy Scouts serve him well in being prepared for many fun activities. Jen and Liam and Ewan flew from Sacramento to Las Vegas where they rented a car, and drove the rest of the way to St. George.  Miss Lilly had just started a job a few weeks before and wasn't able to get time off.  She was missed a LOT! Jen's best friend's daughter was getting married on Friday, the last day of our reunion and she was helping with the reception.  Jen is a master travel planner.  She made it all work.  I was so glad.

Our Orem Thiots

Pierce and Stacy drove their fun little motor home loaded to the gills with food, snacks, bikes and boats too. Pierce and Stacy have vacationed a bit in St. George and had a good friend with the vacation home we were able to stay it.  It was the best to be together.  Pierce researched some great activities and surveyed all of us and we got to pack a lot of fun into the five days were were together.  Pierce had some great ideas for meals and it made it so easy and delicious.  I loved not having to stress over the planning.  Thanks PJ!

Our Upstairs Thiots

Skyler, Shannon and Elinor were not able to join us for the reunion in person.  We did get to face time with them several times and we loved getting to have them their in spirit.  We missed them.  I loved that they put on their Reunion Shirts and took a photo and sent to us.  Thanks you three!  Next time you will be with us!

We Plano Thiots

It had been way to long since our big family had been altogether.  Dick and Stacy were  so great to help find the place and make arrangements.  It was just right. Even though it was HOT, there were pools and water slides which  made it so much fun.

I loved that Stacy took our picture on the last morning together.  I loved our family reunion shirts.  The back side was designed by Skyler with everyone's name on it looking over the Arches.  The red arches are so beautiful in Southern Utah.  My parents loved them and had a vacation condo there where they loved to spend the cold winter months, that were so pleasant there.

I loved that  my Sister Lani got to come.  She makes everything more fun when she is with us.  She brought the funnest BINGO Game and was the craft table queen.  She knows how to do fun things in fun ways.   Thanks for coming Lani!

Ricky's  Elder's Quorum was in charge of getting the Mother's Day gifts for the Sisters in the ward.  They loved the darling bags of chocolates.  Way to go Ricky!  You  know the way to sisters hearts.
We had a fun combined luncheon to celebrate both Dick's Birthday and Mothers Day. It was fun to be at In and Out Burgers together.  Thanks for lunch!

Dick's favorite gift was the LEGO set to build Dick's dream car, a beautiful red converetable vett!  If ever I can't find him, he is upstairs working on his gift!

Our Medford Granges

It's been teaching appreciation week at school which means lots of crafting for Tatia and the kids.  These flowers made with cupcake wrappers are my favorite.
The Granges had some great teachers to help them grow this year.   I loved seeing these!

Even Gracie and Simon made some for their darling preschool teachers.  Loved them.

It's official, Keelie passed her drivers licence test in one try!!!! She got to drive herself to work at the water park where she is s life guard!!!

Our Orem Thiots

What a great success it was this weekend for the special business fair that Adelaide and Jackson participated in this weekend.  Adelaide opened a Book Nook with her title, "There is an Alligator at my  door" She wrote the story and her dad illustrated it for her.  It's magnificent!!! I can't wait to get my copy for my library!
Jackson reopened his Hawaiian Shaved Ice shop and it did not disappoint!  WOW!!!! He sold a LOT and was voted most likely to succeed!

I have to tell you, it's exhausting running  your own business.  I love him all snuggled in with his friends!

Our Upstairs Thiots

Two weeks ago, Elie brought this inside and put it in a glass of water.  She didn't know what it was.  When I came home I discovered it was a caladium bulb that was coming up.  She replanted it back in my  pot and...
It bloomed!  It makes me so happy!!!!

We Plano Thiots

May 13th is Graypa's birthday!  Happy number 67 to you.  It looks great on you!
Mothers Day and his birthday are often side by side.  I love these gorgeous flower baskets he gifted me for Mothers Day!
Thank you Dick!

His office treated him to Rudy's for lunch and he treated them to Banana Pudding for his birthday treat!  They loved it and I love him! Happy Birthday!

It's garden planting time.  Ricky and Becky have the nicest garden.  They've got some green thumbs!
This is the last few weeks of school and the girls are ready for summer!!!!

Our Medford Granges

Max tried out for the Lion King Play several months ago.  He has been so excited.  He got to announce the show and be a stage hand.  Tatia said he has memorized the whole casts parts and he gets to prompt from back stage if they need help.  Max is amazing and I'm proud of him.  The Lion King is one of my favorite Disney Movies.  Such great characters and fabulous music! Tonight is the final performance.  Jake's Dad is there to see it.  I'm happy he could go!

Today is our Penny's 13th Birthday! I know she is going to be a very kind teenager.  We love her so much!

Our Folsom Thiots

Today is Liam's 17th Birthday! Happy Birthday Liam.  He and Penny we call Birthday Cousin Twins.  May 2nd is both of their birthdays four years apart.

Charlie got to ride with the Mt. Bike Club and had a great time except for the very last climb.  He kicked a boulder with his foot and broke his toe.  OUCH!!! I hope you will heal up quickly Charlie!

Our Orem Thiots

Pierce with the help of Adelaide and Jackson made an amazing commercial this week for Zillow.  It was about an episode of Bluey about their family thinking about selling their home and how sad they were about it.  Zillow wanted us to know that moving can be a good thing.

The commercial was shown on the Today show and also made USA Today.  What fun to get to celebrate with Pierce.  I love the four dogs in front of their house.  Pierce said it was quite a trick to get them all four looking in the same direction for the shoot!  GO PJ!!!!!

Our Upstairs Thiots

Skyler and Elie found an EPIC playground to play on and they had a great time discovering new friends and new climbing activities.  Wednesday afternoons are extra fun for those two.
It's been lonesome since Shannon went home.  I love looking at this photo of the three of them so happy together.

We Plano Thiots

We had a scare this week when my sister sent me a photo of my little sister in the hosptial.  She was afraid she was having a stroke and they did 101 tests and I'm so glad to report that the tests came back good.  She was encouraged to have a couple of additional tests and to get her own primary care doctor.  She is not one who likes doctors and so this was a good wake up call.  So grateful she is ok!
Saturday BYU Sports had a fun thing is Dallas.  We got to meet some football players and buy a Cougar Tail maple bar and mint brownie.  It was fun to put on our BYU colors and go enjoy!
The new Temple in McKinney is having some folks oppose it.  We were asked to sign a petition of Support for the new temple.  I got to man the table and encourage those good folks to sign in favor.  I hope the opposition can understand that it will bless their neighborhood not bring too much light and congestion.
Sunday morning we received the sad news that my cousin Sandra Marie Scheffert passed away.  We have had way too many friends and family members returning to heaven lately.  Sandy was wonderful.  This is her daughter Kim who took care of my Aunt Marie and her daughter Michelle.  She is such a great caretaker.  We will all miss Sandy.
Monday afternoon was the burial for Clayton's dad Jim Royal.  He was burried at the DFW National Cemetery.  It's a beautiful and very reverent place.  I was glad we could be there. We loved Jim and his wife Francie.  Trisha, Francie and Clayton in this photo.
Skyler made these Kind bars for his grandsons.  I loved this photo of all of them lifting weights together.

I finally put away my Easter Decorations and changed it up to Anniversary Celebration.  Almost 45 years! What a blessing Dick is in my life! Sure love you! Robynn

Ricky was invited to play golf in the BYU Management Scholarship Golf Tournament last week.  He got to play with Rich Bailey, Jeff Willardson, and Dick.  Ricky did a great job and helped the team do very well.

Ricky and Becky had a double date with  Skyler and Shannon for Family Night.  Photos coming I hope.

Our Medford Granges

It's been just this kind of week in Medford this week as the  hulks face portrays.  A bit of a little bit busy and a little bit crazy.  I'm glad to report that everybody survived and we have hope  that things will calm down.
Gracie loved helping Miss Penny practice her face painting skills.  Was there ever a happier girl to have her face look like a kitty?  I don't think so.
Part  of the busyiness and craziness of the week involved the Medford Stake Primary Daddy Daughter Date held last friday night.  Tatia took the lead on many of the craft activities.  She always does a great job but it takes a LOT of time.  It turned out even better than they imagined.  Jake came and scooped ice cream.  Simon and Gracie were great at helping to blow up balloons for the Balloon archway entrance.  They are always most helpful.

Our Folsom Thiots

With this great  spring time weather, Mt Bike Riding is a must.  I loved this shot of Callum going off this jump. Hang on buddy!
Jen had the leading role in making Earth Day a hit in Folsom this year.  I LOVE this chalk art that was done in front of the Folsom City Building.  Getting it all taped off and ready for a masterful plan.  Thanks for helping everyone!  I LOVE it!

Our Orem Thiots

I loved seeing these happy  photos of Jackson's little league team cheering after a great finish of their ball game.  Go Angels!

Even Mister Squirrel is suited up for the game.  He loves running around the bases with Jackson!  Way  to go you two!

Our Upstairs Thiots

Skyler and Elinor took Shannon to one of their favorite spots, the Butterfly Garden in Fair Park in Dallas.  It was an extra special place to propose.  Sky had thought of several ideas and this one turned out to be just right.  She said yes and Elinor loved being the photographer.

Shannon Said YES!!!! and we couldn't be happier.  In our family, when something really great happens, we love to celebrate at our favorite place to go out to eat.  Benihana is the spot.  It's Elies favorte spot too and it was so fun to be there together
Shannon and Elie playing tic tac toe and doing the sudoku puzzels.  Always fun
Elie loves to watch so intently as the chef turns an onion into an amazing volcano!!! WOW!

I love seeing these three so happy  together.

We  all love feeding the KOI fish out front.  They are very hungry fish.

We Plano Thiots

Our Buddy Keshon celebrated his 22nd birthday this week.  I loved taking him a bag of donut holes to help start his day off just right.  We got invited to his party at the Main Event called ME now.  We had fun!
Saturday afternoon in a big rain storm brought the baptism of Diamond Smith and Lele.  What a sweet hour that was.
Skyler and Shannon helped the program and did a great job.
I love Elder Renlunds quote from General Conferenence
These beautiful white flowers so perfect like these two darling daughter of God
I love her journal that we all got to sign after the baptism

The Day after Jim Royal passed away, I went to visit Francie and these beautiful iris were blooming in their front yard.  Francie and I both knew that Jim had sent them just for her that day.  His funeral was held in Shawnee Oklahoma on Monday.  I'm sure it was just lovely.  Pammy said that Oliver did a great job reading the obituary and Clayton did a fantastic job wit the eulogy telling us about how Jim worked hard to give his family the stability he craved and didn't have when growing up and finally Andrew played Amazing Grace on his trombone beautifully.  Then they went to cracker barrel for a nice meal together.

I was thinking of them as another friend of mine lost her husband last week and his funeral was the same time here.  Brother Don Chism.  His wife Linda is in our Life Story Writers Group.  She is wonderful and is so sad.  It's so hard to say goodbye to dear husbands.  I hope I don't ever have to know that feeling.  Dick promises to let me go first!

I hope you've had a nice week.  SLY Robynn
