Free show with haircut

Jonah likes to be in the nude. And he likes to shake his booty while in the nude.

I do hair outside in my garage. I have a little set-up & mostly family & some friends get their hair done by me. On this particular evening I was cutting my nephew's, Trevor, hair. Jonah struts out in to the garage & props himself inside the door. I looked over & said, "Jonah! Don't come out here. You're going to get hair all over you." They had just gotten out of the tub. He went inside & got on his tennis shoes & came back out. I guess I should have specified that he needed to put clothes on. Poor Trevor just laughed. Jonah loved that. After the attention, he started dancing and singing his, "I'm shakin' my booty" song.
Fast forward to tonight. I was cutting a guy's hair who works for my brother at the donut shop. My kids have never met him. Naked Jonah made an appearance. Now that was awkward. I guess I need to post a sign warning people that they may encounter him.

The Cart Lady

I've posted before about how Isabel has hoarding tendencies. She goes through phases. She loves plastic bags from the grocery. But it gets pretty over the top and insane. The most random things are in those bags. Sometimes if I can't find something, I'll look in her collection and find it. Have you ever seen a lady who pushes a grocery cart around town full of crap? Come on...every city has to have one! I'm hoping that isn't Isabel in 50 years. But, who knows...

Here she is with her triplet stroller packed with stuff. Notice how the babies are on the bottom being smothered? She has 2 sets of sheets along with bags full of who knows what.
I found this pile of stuff that I'm sure she was getting ready to bag up. In it, we have...a computer, microphone, a pair of socks, my wooden bracelets, a book, and a Prince CD. Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999....

Odd?

I think I have odd children. And I'm pretty sure Nate does too. Does it make me love them less? No. In fact, it's quite the opposite....most of the time ;) I like that my kids are themselves and that sometimes they have odd behaviours. Take for instance, Jonah. Jonah gets fascinated with things. I've posted before about him. At times though, the fascinations make me go, "hmmm".

This picture was taken a while back. Notice anything strange? If you said he is laying next to detergent and fabric softener, you are correct! He LOVES them. He loves when I buy new kinds. But for a while, he would lug them around with him. For the record, he has NEVER tried to open and drink them & I do watch him. Kind of like with the fan deal. People get scared that he is going to put his finger in a fan as he watches it spin. But he has never tried that. He simply is interested in looking at the objects. Now, he will help me with laundry & ask me to smell the cup after I pour it in.

I'm pretty sure this was the day he was playing on the trampoline with the neighbor girls and decided to take the detergent and fabric softener with him. The bottles sat on the trampoline. And I'm pretty sure the neighbor girls were like, "What the heck?"

Problems with blogger

I've been trying to access my blogger account for the past week with no success. Curse you, blogger! I don't know what the problem is but there is no easy way to get a hold of someone. You have to post your question on a forum and hope for some sort of answer. Yea, that makes it easy. So, I changed my password & was able to finagle my way back on. Who knows if it will work. I've got lots of pics I need to put up & now half the stories I was going to share have been erased from my memory. Stay tuned...we'll see what happens. Curse you, blogger! Oh wait, did I say that already?

Bike Riding

The kids' new thing this year is bike riding. I'm pretty sure the trailer tents we bought last year to go on mine & Nate's bike are not going to be used much from now on. They would rather ride with us on their own bikes. And I'm not going to lie, I'm glad. This means I don't have to keep up with Nate & I can ride at the pace the kids ride at. Yea, I'm lazy and I know it. And I'm completely out of shape. But we still have fun. We ride around our block and up and down our street. They love it & beg us to go for bike rides. On this day, it was just daddy & the kids.

Easter 2011

Even though it rained pretty much all day, Easter was nice. We got up and the kids got their baskets from the bunny and we got ready & went to church. We had a full house at church and my step-dad & I sang a duet. Yea, that's right...a duet. Hello?...yea, Steven Tyler? Oh, I'm sorry I can't try out for American Idol since I'm over the age limit, but I'll still gladly sing for you and marry you (oh wait, did I just say that? I'm kidding I'm kidding, Nate ;)! Okay, enough about Steven and mine & Duane's duet.

Nate's parents and sister came down to have Easter with us. We went to Nate's aunt Lisa's house for lunch and it was so good. That family definitely knows how to do the holiday's! From the food to the table set-ups, everything was awesome.

I caught Jonah mid-cough
This was a Thomas year. My boys have really started getting in to Thomas so the bunny brought them some new trains.

And sis got princess stuff

The pics before church ~ Jonah didn't want his taken & you will see that in the next few shots. When I looked at them, I cracked up. Notice his finger placement. I'm glad he is not a teenager because I so would have thought he was doing it on purpose.

Delicious treat made by Nate's cousin's wife, Lindsey.

Everything was edible & those cake balls were aweomse!

Grandma (Nate's mom) & Jasper (I should note that she bought all the spiffy clothes for Easter.

The bow tie was a must for Jasper)

Twins!

I am an aunt again! I absolutely LOVE being an aunt. My brother and his wife welcomed their twin boys yesterday, May 4, at 12:59 pm and 1:00 pm. Callan Jack was born first at 7 lbs and Lane David arrived after at 6 lbs 14 oz. Big brother Kisen is going to be awesome! Amber was 38 weeks and 4 days! Can you say AMAZING?!

They are absolutely beautiful and healthy. They will get to go home with mama and daddy which is a great thing since most multiples usually have a stay in the NICU. Not these boys!

Proud daddy!

Great Friends & Fun!

We have some really great friends who are always a blast to be around. Brian, Courtenay and their boys Cainan, Simon & Abe live in the country and every time we are out there it is a different adventure and pure fun! My kids absolutely love it and continually ask when we are going to Brian & Courtenay's. Us adults have just as much fun. Court loves to take pictures just as much as I do. So while she & I are taking photos, the kids and big boys (Nate & Brian) are playing and getting themselves into trouble.

Cainan

Simon is such a gentleman. Here he is helping Isabel with her seat belt.

Jonah & Simon

I love this series of shots. The looks on both Nate & Simon's face are hilarious!

Ready! Aim! Fire! The Pierce family own 3 of these "soft" pellet guns. I would hardly call them soft. It was so fun to watch the boys shoot at each other and get hit. Is that bad to say?

This is Cainan as he got hit in the neck.

My engineer...checking out how those wheels work

Brian

Cainan hiding out

You''ll shoot your eye out! Check out the ding on Nate's forehead! It swelled up & bruised & I think he still has a mark from it. After this, he was out of the game.
Isabel hit her hand right as I took this pic

Brian and Abe

Isabel is pretty smitten with Brian

As the sun sat, we could hear roaring laughter from Nate who was somewhere in the woods with Simon. It echoed all over the country & we all were dying laughing wondering what was so funny. Seems they hit a giant mud puddle as they were flying on the go cart.

I'm not sure poor Simon will want to ride with Nate again.

Nate had to strip his pants off before we went home. So there he stood...in his boxers & t-shirt.

They have an old VW Bug that is awesome and I'm jealous. Isabel loved sitting in the driver's seat. And Jasper was laying the kisses on her.
