I'm so proud to be a part of a huge part of history here in my small town. I'm sure I've talked about it before on here, but my grandpa started a donut business 50 years ago. When he got sick, he sold it to my dad...the 2nd generation of Jack's. My dad sold the business to my little brother...3rd generation Jack, a few years back. All of us kids have worked at the donut shop one time or another. After the triplets were born, I worked on the weekends. I started working there when I was about 14. And my sister and brother were both the same. Today, the donut shop was featured in the newspaper and this weekend will mark the 50th anniversary! I love my family! Happy Birthday, Kayla!

Another Birthday! This was my niece's birthday. Kayla is now 12...almost a teenager!! And what a beautiful 12 year old she is. She is way taller than me & is my sidekick when it comes to fashion and "peace". Does that mean I need to grow up? Nah. When it comes to buying gifts for her, it's super easy. Her big birthday gift was to completely redo her bedroom. We had a blast doing it! Ashley & I went to IKEA (if you've never been to an IKEA, you must go!) and got her a new bed, dresser, table, computer table, stool, mirror & accessories. Ashley & Aaron had a week to paint her room, move out her old furniture, clean the carpet & put together her new furniture and move everything in. I wish I had taken some "before" shots. The difference was amazing & everyone loved it...especially Kayla (well, maybe Ashley ;)

Happy Birthday, Will and Nick!

We had another great celebration for my sweet twin nephews, Will and Nick. They are 6 years old! Time does go by quickly. Ashley had their party at our church. That is quickly becoming our new party venue as we have a ton of family and it seems to be the most logical place to hold everyone. Lucky for me, my kiddos were born in the summer, so we can usually have something outside. Here are some pics from the PARTAY!
