My little darlings

Nate bought me three professional photo lights. I'm going big time now! Seriously, I would love to start a photography business. I can't get enough of taking pictures. I tested the lights out on the kids. I think they make pretty cute subjects.

I have to give credit to Nate because he took this one. This was taken in front of a blue wall we have in our living room.
I put up a black sheet in a little corner of our family room

Day at the museum

The kids & I went with our friends, Kris & Leigh, and their 2 kiddos to the children's museum on Martin Luther King day. It was free for everyone! And oh my word, was it ever packed! You couldn't move. The stench of children filled the museum. It was a little hectic & hot as a "you know what" in there. But, the kids enjoyed it and were pretty worn out by the end. I wish I would have taken my real camera, but I guess these phone photos will do.

Such girls! Izzy & Kate...and I love Jasper's face.

I, myself, would have loved to have seen the Barbie exhibit, but it was too crazy. One day I will go back when it isn't a free day.

He is his father's son

Jasper is a natural born actor. Whatever character he is in, he plays...darn well. We sometimes have a hard time getting him to be just Jasper. Lately, it is all Star Wars. And OH MY WORD, it is Star Wars all the time. And we usually have to call him by whatever character he is playing.

One day last week, he put on this costume, asked me to get his chair & sat in it saying he was The Emperor. He was stone cold faced, hands in lap...full on Emperor.
Today, it is General Grievous
And who can forget Darth Vader
Why does he enjoy playing the bad guys so much? Hmmm....

The first sleepover

My little Izzy had her first sleepover this past weekend. It was unexpected & I think that worked out better for me :) I didn't have time to think about it. Not that I would have said no. We are good friends with the family & they go to our church. We spent Sunday afternoon at their house & we saw them again Sunday evening at my sister's house. Kate (the little girl) asked if Isabel could go home with them from Ashley's. Kris & Leigh (the parents) were totally cool with it. So off she went. The boys asked where their sister went & said they missed her. Awww. They do love each other. They woke up bright and early the next morning at about 5:50 am and I was thanking God they were at their house & not mine! I've decided that when my kids get older, they can go to sleepovers but not have any at our house. ;) She had a great time & on Monday, they even invited us to the Children's Museum!

The Dentist

This morning, the kids had their first ever dentist appointment. I did not tell them until they got home from school. I told them to run inside to brush their teeth because we were headed to the dentist. They seemed okay. Isabel probably asked me 6 more times (within a minute) if we were going to the dentist. My kids are weird about repeating & asking the same question over & over & over. I knew it was probably out of nervousness.

I enlisted the help of my sister. God bless her. I can always count on Ash. She knows what it is like to have multiples & need help from time to time. She met me at the dentist office & off we went. It happens to be the office that I go to & that Ash & her family go to, as well as my mom. You could tell they were excited to see the triplets & that made me feel good.

First up was Jasper. He was AMAZING! That kid did great. He didn't shed one single tear. He didn't complain or whine. I LOVE our hygienist. She was great with the kids. She explained all the tools & let them feel & see what each one did.

Ashley
Thumbs Up!
So I didn't get very many pics of Jonah & Isabel. Needless to say, they didn't enjoy it as much as Jasper. Jonah screamed bloody murder. He cried. He sat on my lap long enough for her to polish his teeth for about 10 seconds.

Once Jonah freaked out, Isabel freaked out with him. It scared her that he was crying. She sat on my lap, too. After a few minutes & one million questions & comments, she started to settle down. I learned today that the girl LOVES to talk when she gets nervous. I was laughing & so was the hygenist. She was trying to think of anything to say. She would say, "Oh, I like your light." "Do you see the sunshine?" "Hey! Did you see the sun is shining?" Everything started with "Hey?"

The diagnosis was that Jasper & Isabel each have a small cavity. We got back on Feb. 14th to have them filled. We'll see how it goes.
