Is beautiful, of course. However, she is tiring her mama (and I'm pretty sure her daddy) out. Let me start by saying this... I'm fearful of a lot of things. I always have been. Everyone knows that spiders are probably number one! I'm not in to trying new things. Was always scared of roller coasters. Was scared of fishing because of the dragon flies that fly by. You get the gist.
It seems I have a mini-me. However, I believe she is a little bit worse. This girl is scared of everything! I so do not want her to be like me. I want her to believe in herself & try things. She is scared of bugs. I can't fault her on that. But I wish she wouldn't be. Noises terrify her. That brings me to this; trains! Stupid *expletive* trains! I seriously cant think of where the nearest train track to us is. But, you can hear the whistle in the faint distance. EVERY night, we go thru the same thing. The train whistle will blow & Isabel screams bloody murder & cries. And this freaking train runs all night. We go in there time & time again to tell her to calm down, the train is far away & it is just the horn. It will not get her...we will not let it, and so on & so on.
I swear I think her room is haunted. Well, her bed. We went thru a phase of dinosaurs. They were on her bed trying to bite her arm. She would stand in the middle of her room & look at one certain spot on the bed, like it was really there. Once it was a purple bunny who was standing on the train waving at her. I am beginning to wonder if she drops acid before she goes to sleep :) She will try to get out of sleeping some way or another.
Last night, Nate & I were going to bed around midnight. As I walked back to our bedroom, I noticed her door was wide open. We leave it cracked, but this was open. She wasn't in her bed. I ran down the hallway & said, "Nate, Iz isn't in her room!" He said, "Shut up." We went back there & she wasn't in it. We walked out in to the living room & there she was laying. She was on the couch....awake. Two more times last night, I had to get up because she was screaming about the train. My sister had a good suggestion; put a fan in her room to help drown out the noise. Of course, I would then have a problem with Jonah obsessing over it! I may try that & take the fan out in the morning before he can get to it. Crazy kids.
