Guys And Dolls

Apparently, this is Jonah's new favorite camera pose

Isabel with one of my mom's dolls. I'm trying to remember her name...I think it was "Uptown" something. I have the box but am too lazy to go look at it. . My grandpa bought this for my mom when she was younger. Iz loves her.

Of course we had to put red lipstick on her

Kleenex, Breathing Treatments & Thomas The Train

Similar?

Charles Manson
Jasper Benton

Hmmm, what happens now?

The kids have been feeling crappy lately. Jonah has an ear infection & everyone has just been plain tired...including me!

Yesterday after school, I put a movie on & made some lunch & they ate in the living room. I stepped in the computer room to talk to JoAnna on the phone & when I looked in at the kids, they were all laying on the floor. I said, "I think Jasper is asleep!"

He was...out cold! This is totally weird to me because my kids are not kids that usually fall asleep on the floor or anywhere. They aren't big car sleepers either. As I was talking to JoAnna, I said, "What do I do!?" She laughed & said, "Pick em' up & take em' to bed."

"2 Hour Delay" is a very bad word...

As you know, the kids are in pre-school. They go everyday from 8-10:30 am. The bus picks them up now & brings them home. For me, this is a much needed break. Sooooo...when I hear 2 hour delay, things change. This means they don't go to school since they are in the morning class. I have 2 boys who are usually awake around 6:45 am & a little girl who could sleep in later. Suddenly, my morning of taking it easy, having a nice shower, maybe putting some folded clothes away (that have been waiting for 2 weeks to be put away), is GONE.

The fact that we live in a crappy State, doesn't make things better. Once all of the 8" of snow has melted, we get freezing rain. I don't remember the last time I saw the sun. And I need that sun! Who doesn't need a little sun to perk them up?

Here's a picture of my backyard. Beautiful, isn't it!? Ugh. In the words of a Barney song..."Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...please shine down on me."

Oh, and the kids have had runny noses. Jasper freaks when his runs. He usually lets out a high pitched yelp & then tosses his Kleenex over the gate.

Lady Gaga, Is that you?

The other night after dinner, Jasper said he wanted his hair like PeeWee. So, we put some hair glue in his hair & pushed it all down except for the front. Nate got a wild hair up his butt & decided to load Isabel's hair with gel. She looked like a grunge groupie. He then decided to do a "little" makeup on her. She called herself Lady Gaga.

Hard Sales Tactics?

Oh yea folks...tell me that wasn't a good blog title!?

I normally don't shop at the mall, but we were visiting my in-laws & I went with my mother in law. The mannequins they used a few years back seem to be a little different than the mannequins they use today. I'm sorry, but a set of hooters like that is bound to get anyone's attention. And thankfully, my mother in law didn't look at me weird when I said I wanted to take a picture.

"The Horns"

Nate & I are kind of opposites. And when it comes to music, we are complete opposites. He plays in a heavy metal band. I'm not talking "Metallica" or "AC/DC"...I'm talking; loud, screaming vocals, double bass drum like nobody's business, crazy guitar...metal. Me, on the other hand, likes Classic Rock, Hippie Rock, Folk...that kinda thing. We both love music, but our styles differ a lot. I appreciate his talent, though. He can play guitar, bass, piano and I'm sure many more things. And his singing isn't too bad either.

Lets see...I can....ummm, play nothing. Oh wait, I did play the baritone in 7th grade marching band. Well, I didn't actually play it, I mimicked like I was playing. I've tried to learn guitar, but to be quite honest, I didn't like Nate as my teacher. :)

Our kids listen to quite the genre of music around here. Since they are with me most of the time, they listen to most of the stuff I like. Ya know, pretty peaceful, laid back stuff. But they can switch gears in no time. Nate puts on his band, Judgement, and they will rock to that music. They will throw the "horns" in the air. Do you know what those are? You will see in the pictures of Jasper. I prefer the Peace sign.

The band Nate is in is pretty popular around these parts. They've gotten recognition in a Magazine & have played with a few well known bands. Now, I'm not sure where the money is. I mean, come on, shouldn't I be living in LA with a house on "Cribs?" Anyway, they got their sweatshirts in a few days ago. I had the kids model a few.

This, is Jonah

My baby, Jonah, most always will be seen with three things. Three things that he loves. Number one of course is "Bear". No doubt about it, Bear is always by his side. He loves his camo truck & his paci. I'm working on that paci thing, though. That is one thing I would like to disappear. He can keep Bear & truck though.

Play time

We are just becoming regular snow bunnies! I am ready for summer. Soon would be nice. We were able to play outside for a bit. However, with very cold temps, it didn't last long. Aside from Jasper knocking down two of my snow-ladies I was trying to make, it was fun.

The kids wanted to play with their plastic toys (cars, etc.). I don't think they realized they can't do that when it is 8 degrees outside with 8 inches of snow. That didn't stop them from trying.

Who is that!? If Ford Modeling agency is looking for a snow model, look no further than Nate Wright! Check out that pose. Looks like he's been practicing.
