Nate & I are kind of opposites. And when it comes to music, we are
complete opposites. He plays in a heavy metal band. I'm not talking "Metallica" or "AC/DC"...I'm talking; loud, screaming vocals, double bass drum like nobody's business, crazy guitar...metal. Me, on the other hand, likes Classic Rock, Hippie Rock, Folk...that kinda thing. We both love music, but our styles differ a lot. I appreciate his talent, though. He can play guitar, bass, piano and I'm sure many more things. And his singing isn't too bad either.
Lets see...I can....ummm, play nothing. Oh wait, I did play the baritone in 7th grade marching band. Well, I didn't actually play it, I mimicked like I was playing. I've tried to learn guitar, but to be quite honest, I didn't like Nate as my teacher. :)
Our kids listen to quite the genre of music around here. Since they are with me most of the time, they listen to most of the stuff I like. Ya know, pretty peaceful, laid back stuff. But they can switch gears in no time. Nate puts on his band, Judgement, and they will rock to that music. They will throw the "horns" in the air. Do you know what those are? You will see in the pictures of Jasper. I prefer the Peace sign.
The band Nate is in is pretty popular around these parts. They've gotten recognition in a Magazine & have played with a few well known bands. Now, I'm not sure where the money is. I mean, come on, shouldn't I be living in LA with a house on "Cribs?" Anyway, they got their sweatshirts in a few days ago. I had the kids model a few.
