You're in for a jolly treat

If you open this Jolly Time pop corn bag. The contents do not contain delicious, buttery popcorn. However, if you are up for a pair of crap filled underwear (courtesy of Jasper) have yourself a jolly ol' time!

Which way am I going?

Whew! I'm sitting down taking a break & blogging. The kids are watching Dora & eating chips. I had to do something. It is pretty non-stop all the time around here. However, late afternoon & early evening seem to be the most chaotic.

I got them up from a nap. First thing is first...who needs to pee in the potty? I took Jasper. And then I got Isabel. I'm trying to show them that when you are on the pot, it is private time. Not all of them need to be in there. So I've been shutting the door. I know, revelation! After I took Jasper, he said, "I wanna piece of gum!" I said, "Ok...let me take Isabel to pee first & then I will get you guys some gum." I shut the door & he flipped out. He was banging on the door & screaming & crying, "I WANT GUM MAMA!". I don't know how anyone could pee under those circumstances. The ol' sphincter muscles would instantly clam up. I tried to stay calm & completely ignore it.

When she was done, I opened the door & Jasper fell in to the bathroom. He was standing with his back against it. So, he cried more. I picked him up & we went in to the living room. I firmly talked to him even though I wanted to go crazy on him. As I was getting ready to go get the gum, Jonah says, "I need to go pee in the potty." He says this a lot. But, he doesn't do it...ever. He sits down for about 3 seconds & gets up and says, "No, I don't wanna pee. I flush the toilet." I say, "No, you can't flush the toilet unless you pee or poop." He says, "I wash my hands mama." I do let him do that. At least he wants to wash them. He's obsessed, though. No, really, he's obsessed. So I have to drag him out. He has been throwing himself down on the floor. And let me say, I love school but since they have started, their fits have become increasingly bad.

We finally got out of the bathroom & I got them some gum. They chewed it & I called Ashley. They each had to talk to her & Nick. When I got off the phone, they said, "I want Dora, mama." I said, "Okay, I will get Dora." Then it was, "Mama! I need a snack!! Mama, Dora!" I had no idea what to do first. In one breath, they shouted out different commands to me. I got the snack first & then put on Dora. Since I have started this blog, I have been pulled out four times....2 for Isabel to pee (it's only been a few minutes), 1 for Jonah crying because Jasper slapped him in the back and 1 to fix the DVD because Jonah loves to climb up on the toy box & open & close the DVD player.

Now I'm off to get ready to take them to a birthday party. At least they can run out their frustrations at a Bouncy place for 2 hours. Thanks to our friends, Brian & Courtaney!

The future's so bright

You gotta wear, shades

My eyes!

I can't believe it is Football season!

Look at my handsome nephew, Trevor. He started football practice this week. I can't believe it is that time, already! Aunt Shannon is going to have to fight the girlie's off for this handsome thing!

Pleasure Park

This is what I want to see when I'm at the park with the kids.

Trojan wrapper...at least there was protection involved. Joanna said, "Don't touch it!"
We've got room for one more! This was last week one day. Carter, Jonah, Isabel & Jasper

Joanna and Carter

Japser and I
Isabel in her undies! Pretty trashy, huh? She & Jasper both had an accident at the park. Jasper's was with poop though....ewww. I managed to find clean underwear for both & a pair of shorts for Jasper in the van. So for a few minutes (and no one was at the park but us), Iz wore her undies.

Prison Gang

I don't know if this is just a thing with multiples or with siblings in general. Whenever someone new comes along, they initiate them.

For the next couple of weeks, I am watching my next door neighbors' little boy. He is such a cute & sweet boy. I don't think he is quite 2, yet. My kids are obsessed with him. They see him outside when we are playing. But, this is really the first time they have spent quite a bit of time with him.

When they get up in the morning, Quentin is here. They come in the living room & stand in front of him. They'll say, "Hi Quent, Hi Quent. Gimme a kiss. Gimme a hug, Quent." Having three 3 year olds in my face asking for affection would scare me (if I was a child). Quentin brought a blanket along this morning. Jasper swore the thing was his. He acted terrible. Quentin tried to walk with it & Jasper would step on the tail of the blanket so he couldn't move with it. He was being a bully & it was making me so mad. But luckily, Quentin takes it all in stride. He has an older brother, so I'm sure he's use to getting beat up on. But I don't want it to be from my kiddos.

Geez! I told Nate that I felt like it was a prison & my kids were the older ones who had done more time.

My first call from the school

This morning before I got in the shower, I got a call from the kids' teacher. This is the conversation:

Me: Hello?

Mrs. Hicks: Hi, Shannon. This is Mrs. Hicks

Me: Is everything okay?

Mrs. Hicks: Everything is fine. I didn't know if you were planning on going anywhere after you picked the kids up from school. Jonah painted his hair blue.

Me: (Laughing)

Mrs. Hicks: I know. We were all just laughing & took his picture for his book. We didn't think you would care, but I wanted to give you a heads up in case you had to run errands. They were getting ready to paint & we put their smocks over their heads. I turned around to get some more paint & he had taken the blue & was painting it on his hair saying, "I getting a hair cut."

Me: (Laughing) Well, I do hair & I always cut theirs. When you put the smock on him, he must have thought it was like a cape.

Here is Jonah's hair. If you know me, you know that I actually think it is kinda cool. I'm sure that doesn't surprise my friends & family. He did a darn good job. You never know, he may be the next Paul Mitchell.

Castor Oil Causes Poop

Did you know that?

We are going on potty training day number 7. It is going rather well. However, Jasper hadn't pooped. This made Nate nervous. I told him I thought it was normal for kids to not go for a while during potty training. But, it has been a long time. When he got home from work yesterday, he gave Jasper a shot of Castor oil. I ran errands & went to dinner with Joanna. I called him to tell him when I would be home. He informed me that Jasper had 2 pooping incidents. Both in his undies. I guess he did get to the pot to get a little in there.

Fast forward to this morning. In my mad dash to get them all ready for school, Jasper craps. In his undies. It is already 7:45 & school starts at 8 am. He started making a face & we ran to the bathroom. Didn't make it in time. I had to pull down crappy underwear & shorts as it streaked down his legs. Isabel was screaming about some shoes she wanted to wear. I got Jasper cleaned up with a new outfit. It was even on his shirt.

In the process of giving in to Isabel & letting her wear these pink ballet looking shoes, Jasper decided to change his shoes. I didn't realize until we got to the school the he had on 2 different shoes. They were the same sandals but from a different pair & one of them was on the wrong foot. No changing that.

I'm so glad their teachers are awesome!

I'm off to shower & go get them from school.

Oh The Fun

As Nate was supervising potty detail last night, the kids swiped some bubble bath out of the bathroom. You see, they all have to go in the bathroom when someone is on the pot. So, they get in there & play with everything. Nate didn't notice they took bubble bath. He came out of the bathroom & was getting ready to go in the garage. I said, "They are quiet." I went in the living room & said, "Nate!" They had half a bottle poured on the couch & their hands. Jasper was rubbing it all over himself. As you can see in this picture, he got it in his eyes. I'm sure it stung. Yes, I did wipe it off.
Today, Isabel screamed bloody murder. This is nothing new from her. However, you could tell she was hurt. They have been playing with this bubble maker & "tickling" each other. Jasper put it up to Iz's ear & got her hair wrapped in it. I had to cut the hair that was caught, off. Luckily it wasn't too bad.

Maybe it was the hat & glasses?

All I know is that Isabel pooped in the potty! A LOT!! Woohoo. We sat there & sat there. You could tell she needed to, but was a little nervous. She kept saying, "Mac N Cheese"...seriously! And she would poop & say, "I try some more!" Normally, I can handle poop. However, this made me a little weak in the stomach. After all my nephews & nieces, I think this is the first time I wiped an actual butt on the toilet, other than mine.

Thank you DJ Lance Rock!

First day of pre-school

I MADE IT! Oh, I mean, WE made it! :)
We were only 2 minutes late getting to school today. With triplets, that isn't too bad. The buses hadn't even arrived, so we were actually early. The kids' teacher, Mrs. Hicks, and the teachers aids were all so nice. The kids had a great time. Jasper peed in his undies. Whoops. I only cried a little bit after I left them. I still can't believe it. I kept lingering around the classroom & Mrs. Hicks said, "This is usually harder on the parents." So, I finally decided to leave. They didn't even notice...sniff, sniff. Jasper keeps saying, "I want to go to school!!" I bet he won't be saying that in about 10 years.

Aren't these back packs adorable? I had to get big ugly ones to put all their things in. But, I got them these & they carry their extra change of clothes in them.

Coming out of school with their teacher! I was the only one with a camera. What is wrong with these people!? :)

This is me while they were gone....cricket, cricket. I went & paid the water bill, went to the bank & post office & got me a fountain pop, baby! Yea!

The night before

Here are some pictures from last night...the night before the first day of school. Everyone got baths & got all ready for mama to hurriedly get them ready this morning. They were in such a good mood. I'm sure they were thinking, "Woohoo, 2 1/2 hours away from crazy lady every day!"

Jasper busted his lip. It doesn't look too bad this morning but I thought for sure we would walk in to school with a fat lip. He wanted me to take a picture of it.
