Darn that John Deere

I still have several pictures to post from our visit to my in-laws last weekend. However, here is a sequence that is hysterical (at least I think so). You see, they have this dag-blasted John Deere tractor that my kids fight over. Grandma & Grandpa Wright? I know you never dreamed you would have triplet grandchildren, but they are here & you need to buy 3 of everything. I'm joking, folks! However, as their mama, I do buy 3 of everything to keep the sanity in my house. Hopefully by going places that don't entertain multiples that often, my kids will learn from you all that they need to share. Thanks for being the bad guys! :)

I believe in this set of pictures, Jonah was riding Mr. Deere. Jasper took it among himself to be the "Big Man On Campus" as his shirt says, and not so nicely push poor Jonah off. And as the mama, what did I do? Sit there & take pictures with my new awesome camera while saying, "Jasper, stop! Stop, Jasper!" No one was bleeding...then. But tell me these aren't the greatest!

Jasper ~ Awww, heck no, do you know who I am?
I'm the BMOC & that means you don't take my toys.
Jonah~ Man, I just wanted a ride. That's all dude, a ride.
Jasper~ I said, GET TA STEPPIN BRAA...this is my green machine
Jonah~ May I please have a moment to compose myself, Jas? It's not like our mama is helping out. She just has that darn camera shoved in our face the whole time.
Jonah~ Umm, Jasper, I think my leg is stuck. Could you please possibly help pull it out since you are the one who pushed me down?

Jonah~ So, no thanks on the part of helping me out? I'll make it out just fine.

Jonah~It's about time you came down here to help me, mama. Geez, turn off the camera for a second & get this monster off me!

The New Model For Jack's Donuts

Why I love warm weather

Dirty/Scraped knees

Crud under finger and toenails

Dirty faces with dried snot

Tangled hair

and a good ol' bath after a fun day! This is what life is, people. It made me sad the other day & I asked my mother-in-law if she remembered being outside & playing all day; coming in a big ol' mess & taking a bath and putting on fresh PJ's while your mom combed/yanked your hair. I can remember getting my little summery nightgowns on & falling in to bed with clean, wet hair and knowing things were gonna be even better the next day! We need to play as often as we can like this. It gets the kids out in the world, out in to nature and back home with their mama & daddy who will be waiting to clean them up, kiss them & tuck them in.

BIRDS!!

Nate was almost attacked twice by the house guest in front of his parents door. What a place for the bird to make a nest! You wanna talk about scaring the living poop out of you. We didn't know it was there & walked right up to the front door. This bird flapped up & took off...right in front of Nate's head. You know how I react with spiders? Well, Nate reacts like that with lots of stuff. He would win the Oscar for Best Actor In A Drama. I would win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in a drama.

But, look at this beautiful picture I got of the mama's eggs. No, I didn't touch the nest or anything, and my father in law made me feel sure I would not be heinously attacked. I'm so short (even stepping on a bench), that I couldn't see the eggs. I just pointed the camera down on it hoped it would be worth it.

Jasper Has A Drinking Problem

When we go to my in-laws house it is usually a free for all. Jasper has since taken up coffee drinking while he is there. Nate & I, neither one, drink coffee. Heck, I don't even really know how to make it. Somehow, I won't name names (rhymes with Brandma & Brandpa) Jasper was given the taste of this addicting drink some time ago. And now it is a give in that he has to have his coffee while we are visiting. In fact, when we were up there on Easter, he snapped at me, "I want my coffee!" Really, like I was his servant! And here I fumbled around to warm the stupid stuff up in the microwave. All the while he is yelling, "I want my coffee!" Something isn't right with that.

Well, this weekend, we visited again. I would say within a span of an hour, this morning, Jas had 4 different drinks ranging from his coffee, my diet cherry-Pepsi, water and dirty water.

Check him out holding his mug. And look at Jonah. It looks like he is sneaking in on him.
I think this was water
See where I circled? He's obsessed with that d&#n coffee!

My diet cherry-Pepsi.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

I have to say, I really like baseball season. I use to love to go watch Lee (my little brother) play. My mom & I would yell and scream. I will probably be one of those mom's on the news. This is Trevor's 2nd year playing. He plays for The Pirates on the Minor Leagues. I loaded the kids up & we went to see him a few nights ago. We stayed in the van because it was really windy which made it feel cold. Oh, Papaw Duane? Get ready because Jonah kept saying, "I wanna play baseball!" I need to get a zoom lens for my new camera. Trev is in the Yellow. Go #21!

Plex did it

Tonight, the kids & I went to Target. It's about 1/2 hour from us, so I figured it would be good to buy up some time for the evening. When we got in, I got them popcorn. Why in tar nation hadn't I thought of that before!? I had them split one bag in to 3 bags. They were pretty content the whole way. I made the mistake of walking through the toy section and they ended up seeing some Yo Gabba Gabba dolls. That is their new favorite show. I bought (2) Plex's and (1) Fooba (I think that is her name).

One the way out to the van, Jasper threw the bag of his popcorn. It started to blow across the parking lot. I ran & got it before it blew away (Remember, don't litter :) I said, "Jasper, we don't throw trash." He said, "Plex throw popcorn?" I said, "No, Jasper threw popcorn." We got in the van & he kept saying, "Plex, you okay?"

When we pulled in to the driveway, I said, "Make sure you have your Plex's & Fooba" and Jasper said, "Yea, Plex threw popcorn."

Little Miss Sassy Pants

Oh, my sweet daughter. So so sweet. So what has been her problem the last two weeks?

Let's see here....I'll give you a few examples. Yesterday during speech therapy, she got mad. She picked up the toy sweeper & threw it at Jasper's face. The speech therapist was here, so I couldn't go totally ballistic :) I put Iz on the couch & firmly told her we don't throw things & that Jasper was hurt. She bucked up, arched her back & screamed, "NO! You be quiet mama!" Miss Janet, the speech therapist, says, "May I?" I said, "Have at it." She took her arm & sat her in her legs facing the wall until she calmed down. I wish I had Miss Janet here every day.

There are so many toys that have been thrown lately, it's ridiculous. She's good at playing the victim and then you catch her red-handed & realize that, after all, she's the instigator. She's been screaming like crazy, telling me to be quiet & so on. Oh my sweet little girl, where did you go? Please come back!
