IT HAPPENED...OH LORD, DID IT HAPPEN!

Welp...I thought maybe I was getting in the clear. I've heard the horror stories but it hadn't happened to me...UNTIL TODAY!

So, I go to get them from naps. Before I open the door, I hear Iz saying, "shoe wee, shoe wee." I thought, "someone must have pooped." Yes, that someone was her! She had removed her shorts & her diaper & dumped out the poop. She was standing in the corner of the crib like she knew it was disgusting. Please oh please, just let this be a one time thing.

An open letter to anyone who has the pleasure of encountering Jonah

This is to Jonah's friends, girlfriends, teachers, etc.

Jonah is a musical little boy. I have a feeling he is going to be like his daddy & play the guitar. He usually goes straight for those guitars when he is in the studio.

To his future teachers: Jonah is quite of a mama's boy. So do not mess with him or you will have to deal with me! He's allergic to nuts, so don't feed him any. If he doesn't want to play outside at recess, it's probably because his allergies are bothering him.

Jonah's blue eyes & big smile will warm your heart. He needs to have his bear when it is time to go to sleep. Please don't let anyone cut is hair. I know best :) His dancing skills are out of this world & he has dance steps like no other. Oh, I almost forgot...his favorite food is french fries. So, please be prepared to fry em' up!

I can promise you love, cuddling & good times.

An open letter to anyone who has the pleasure of encountering Jasper..

This is to all his friends, girlfriends, teachers, etc.

Jasper is one of the most adorable boys you will ever meet.

To his future teachers, he will be the class clown. Jasper likes to cut up & make the funniest faces. He will also pull out the charm by batting those big brown eyes at you. He's a lover & a ladies man. All the girls go wild over Jas.

To his future girlfriends, Jasper loves flip-flops. He has a weird obsession with shoes. He will be perfectly content with cheap flip-flops...in any color. Heck, he will even wear girls shoes. He also has a fascination with strollers. He loves to push their little plastic strollers everywhere. So I definitely know he will make a good dad someday...someday WAY ahead in the future.

His laugh is contagious. Weather it is a big ol' belly laugh or his "surfer dude" laugh, you will enjoy it. He, like his sister, has an ear piercing scream. So, look out. Jasper is quite the dare devil & will probably scare you with some of the things he does. He's usually not afraid to grab things by the kahunas & just go.

I can promise you many laughs & many heart melting smiles & looks.

An open letter to anyone who has the pleasure of encountering Isabel

This is to her future friends, boyfriends, teachers, etc.

It will be hard not to show more attention to Isabel since she is the cutest little girl you've seen. I'm her mom, so I know. :)

Mark my words...I think Iz will be famous someday. She's a great singer & a wonderful actress. To her future teachers, I know she will probably be in trouble at times for talking. I'm warning you now. But, she will give you a sad face & it will make you feel terrible for scolding her.

She tends to take her time at everything. If you think you will be done eating dinner in 1/2 hour, WRONG! Iz likes to have dinner conversation & will more than likely show off her singing ability. It is quite adorable though.

DO NOT make her angry. She has a set of lungs on her that can outdo anyone. The ear piercing scream will shatter your ear drums. Plus, she's not afraid to fight back. She's a biter, so look out! I'm not afraid of her holding her own. To any boyfriends who think they can treat her like poop...think again. She'll take you down in a heartbeat. That's my girl!

I can promise you good times, laughter, singing & dancing with Isabel.

More pics from the pool..

I have some more pictures from our pool outing. Oh, I also want to give a shout out to Christa! I don't want to disappoint :)

Fun in the sun!

We live in a relatively small town & I don't think we have too many public pools. There is one in that is by one of our parks & it has been there for years. My mom said she & her friends use to go everyday during the summer. Well, by the time my generation started going, it was kind of "used up"...meaning the pool itself & the people who were going.

So, my mom is on the board that totally transformed this place. The transformation is amazing. Whenever you would hear people say, "I'm going to Baker Pool", it was like, "uh, really? Not me." I was a little hesitant this morning to go, but it was fantastic! You could actually walk thru the locker room/bathroom area without gagging. There was a wading pool with slides for kids, a deep pool & a spray pad that was really cool. It had several different motion things where the kids could run thru or stand under. Oh, I should mention that it wasn't open to the public yet; only to the board members & their guests. So it was not crowded one bit.

The kids really enjoyed it & we only had one freak out moment. JB (the dare-devil) decided to dart towards the deep end. Here I am...in my bathing suit with shorts, of course, running to get him. I'm by no means a small lassie. All the while my mom is screaming, "GET HIM, GET HIM!" Mom is great but anyone that knows her, knows that she gets a bit freaked out at times & tends to scare you even more. Love ya mom! So here are a couple of pics. Of course I forgot my camera & had to use my phone. But mom is supposed to be sending me her pics & I will post them. My 86 year old granny went with us.

Got Milk?

Geez louise! The past two times I have gotten milk from Marsh, something has been wrong. I know, I know...I need to pay more attention. Last week I bought a gallon & got it home only to find out that the safety thingy was off. Nate tested it & said it tasted okay. There was no way I was going to let the kids drink it though! No offense, Natey :) What if it was laced with something?

Well, this week & I went & bought another gallon. I put in the fridge that night & when I woke up the next morning to get the kids milk, this is what I find...

Apparently there was a hole or something in the plastic

POLL-Who uses the Cart Corrals?

Do you use the cart corrals at the grocery store? That is one of my pet peeves...people who don't. There have been maybe a hand full of times where I haven't taken my cart back to it...but I feel awful if I don't! Is that crazy?

Lunch

Just a few shots from lunch today.

Such a cutie!

I swear, she wasn't drunk!

Beautiful JC

This is JC when you know it's nap time

JB & his funny face

Grandma & Grandpa's

We went to visit my in-laws this weekend. My mother in law called to tell me that she had cleared out her china hutch & there were several pieces of china on the kitchen table. She was at work & knew we would get to her house before her. So, Nate & I cleared it off...thank God, because this is what I walked in to:

And then here was Iz, just playing on the kitchen floor. Don't get me wrong, this little las gets herself into trouble as well. But she definately loves being a mama to those boys. I will hear her say, "Hey! No!"

JB...never a dull moment

JB is definately a kid who does things different. It doesn't bother me a bit. It's quite amuzing. Some days I think, "what is going thru that mind of his?" Here are a few samples of what I'm talking about:

Sometimes he likes to eat like a dog

He acts like it is normal to eat like this

Ok...this was hysterical! We were in Big Lots with the kids this weekend. By the way, I'm obsessed with Big Lots! So I have Iz in the cart & Nate has a cart with the boys. Iz & I come around a corner in the toy section & here is JB with this wig on. He's the only one who will keep things like that on his head. It was hilarious!

I had Iz in the tub & came out to get a towel. Here was JB pushing a stroller with Iz's purse on his head.

Yep...purse...on head

Hey Mama! Look...no diaper!

So I take my shower the other morning & come out to find that Iz decided she no longer wanted her diaper on. She tried ot hand it to me & said, "Thank You." I also caught JC messing with the TV. And of course, JB looked at me like, "Mama, I'm not doing anything wrong but being cute!"

Nice

Thank You

Obsessed with turning it off & on

Into The Wild

Nate & I watched this movie last night. I have to say, it is one of my favorites now. I'm usually an action packed movie girl or I tend to get bored & fall asleep (that also could be because I'm just tired from these kids :). However, this movie was awesome! Some may say it was boring. It was fairly long...2 1/2 hours, I think. But this movie makes you think. I cried & cried & cried some more.

This movie was based on a true story about a man named Christopher McCandless who embarks on a journey throughout America. He graduates from college & then leaves. He doesn't tell anyone. His goal is to reach Alaska & spend time with nature, away from the modern world & all of our material possessions. He meets some wonderful people along the way. My favorite was a couple who were hippies. They drove from place to place in their RV & sold records at campgrounds & things for money.

From IMDB.com ~ "Throughout his epic journey the people he meets both influence and are influenced by the person he is and bring him to the eventual and tragic realisation that "Happiness is only real when shared"."

A line in the movie that just made it for me was...“When you forgive, you love. And when you love, God’s light shines upon you.” I can't even type this without crying.

Is it so bad to want peace & harmony? Is is so bad to dream that maybe one day we can all live in love? We are all equal. We are all made the same...regardless of our skin color, age, religion, etc.

I want to raise my children with them knowing they can do whatever they want in life. I will support them. I don't want them to feel they have to fit a certain stereotype in order to make it. I don't want them to feel like they have to conform to anything. I want them to be themselves. As long as they are loving & good people, let them be.

This movie looks into what Chris' life was like growing up. Money doesn't buy love & happiness.
