Better late than never. In January Sam, Grandma Walker and I flew to New Hampshire to visit my sister, Anna, and her two boys (her husband was in Brazil for work). Sam is on the left, Lincoln in the middle, and Isaac's on the right. Sam is two weeks older than Lincoln and Isaac is two and half. Every morning Isaac would ask for "baby Sam" and "Aun Amer" (that's me).

Rubba Dub Dub - Three Boys In A Tub

Zu Viel Kochen Verderben Den Brei
OK, I probably totally botched the spelling. Give me a break! I only had two years of German and that was 15 years ago. Sheesh. Translated: Too Many Cooks Spoil the Broth. But in this case, the cooks are so cute, we don't care what the food tastes like. If I recall correctly, the boys were fighting over a toy car, so we distracted them with subtle allure of green tupperware and large plastic kitchen utensils.
Going Home
Conveniently located next to our terminal was a great play area for kids. Since Sam was going to be couped up all day in coach for a flight across the USA, I opted to let him play it out until the final boarding call. Either that or I was delaying the inevitable tantrum that was sure to ensue from prying him away from his beloved car.

Thank You Easter Bunny. Bawk! Bawk!
I'm not all that skillful in the art of Easter egg decorating. Frankly, I lack the patience. No, wait. It's the toddler screaming at my feet and tugging onto my pants that kept me from making my real masterpiece. But what I lack in style, I make up in content. I scored me an extra good back rub tonight with this little bad boy.

Obsession For Toddlers
I've never quite seen anything like it. If given the chance, Sam will occupy himself with cars, buses and trucks all day long. He even makes engine sounds (where did he learn that?) and crashes them off furniture. I find cars all over the house. In cupboards, in the washing machine, in every nook and cranny. It's unbelievable. Is in any wonder one of his very first words was "car" and he can also say "crash".
