Pinterest Fun

It has been soooo long since I posted that I thought I would share the fun that we had today doing some activities that I found on Pinterest.  Megan was having a friend over for the evening so I wanted to give them something to do (since Megan usually whines that she is bored).  At the beginning of summer I always have the best of intentions to give the kids fun activities to do but I usually fall way short and they end up having a boring summer.  Well I think this summer has started off to a pretty good start, we have already had swim lessons, gone to our family reunion, and got a pool pass and used it quite a few times.  So here is what we did tonight.  It was so fun to hear their squeals and giggles as we did the different activites...

Slime using the traditional white glue.

Slime using the clear glue.  Megan named it Crystal(she loves to name things!).

Ivory soap heated in the microwave.  It is really cool to watch it expand.  I did learn that you have to use brand new soap.  I had an ooold bar and it caught on fire!  I had to convince the kids to try it again because they were terrified!  Where is their sense of adventure?  Haha.

Here is our soap cloud.  It made the kitchen smell sooo clean.

Double Digits

Wow has it been FOREVER since I have posted something! I think I will spend the next week or so catching up on what we have been doing. I am going to start with Tyler's 10th birthday, since that is what I had started and never finished. For Tyler's 10th birthday we took him and a few friends to Bounce. They had so much fun going crazy in the bounce houses! We then took the kids to the park and had cake and ice cream. It was a really fun day!

Here's Tyler concentrating really hard to see how far he could get before he got snapped back.

Caitlyn had so much fun chasing after the big kids.

Tyler getting smooshed by his friend David.

All do the silly kids.

This was the first picture I tried to get of the kids and then realized that they would not cooperate when they were up there...

Caitlyn was beat after all of the bouncing.

Happy Birthday to you!!!

Miss Caitlyn

Caitlyn is 19 months old now and I have been meaning to take her 18 month old pictures but haven't gotten around to it. We were walking in the house after picking up Megan and Tyler from school today when she walked up to the dog planter and said "Hi Maddie."(she thinks that all dogs are called Maddie) and gave it a kiss. I couldn't resist running in the house and grabbing the camera. I will get more formal pictures later but for now this was fun. So this is our sweet Caitlyn with her crazy after nap hair playing with the "dog"...

It is extremely rare to catch Caitlyn looking at the camera and smiling, I should go buy a lottery ticket because I'm feeling lucky!

Kissing "Maddie"

Caitlyn is into growling right now and this is right as she gave me a big roar.

My Card Blog

So, I started a blog a little while ago to post the cards I was making and to participate in online challenges. Well, the blog sat empty for a long time partly because I wasn't feeling confident enough in my cardmaking skills. I then made a few cards that I was pretty proud of so I posted them...I have been a cardmaking fool ever since. The reason I am posting this is because I am really excited! I entered a challenge with a card that got some notice. One of the design team members commented and said she likes my cards and she put me on her list of best new must see blogs!!! I am doing a happy dance right now! Graydon has always been my biggest supporter and he said to me tonight, "See, now everyone else can tell you how talented you are, like I have been telling you for a long time! Congratulations!" What a sweet husband I have!!! So with out further ado here is the link to my blog, it's called LseyCreations. Enjoy! Now I have to go and try to sleep, impossible!

Megan's Baptism

My baby girl got baptized today! I can't believe how fast time flies! She looked so grown up. We had most of our family with us to celebrate this special occasion. It started out a little shaky because the man who was supposed to fill the font had thought we were baptizing her on a different day. Graydon got to the stake center and the doors were locked. The baptism started a little late and Graydon had to adjust how he was going to dunk Megan under the water. Poor Megan had to be dunked twice and the water was cold! She was really shivering! She was a trooper! It was a very sweet and special experience to spend this day with our family. Thanks to everyone who came!

I can't believe she is 8!

I LOVE this picture!

Megan's Rockin' Party

Well with a sigh of relief I can say that Megan's birthday party is over. This year we had a total of 21 kids. That is a whole lot of kids! I thought some might not be able to come because it was Easter weekend, boy was I wrong. We did have a lot of fun. It was a rock star theme and the kids were supposed to come dressed like rock stars. We played freeze dance & pin the sunglasses on Justin Bieber. When the kids came in we had them take a picture with Megan and then we had them decorate stars so that they could put the picture in the star when they got it. It was crazy with that many kids but we had a lot of fun! This year it was so much harder to get everything done while trying to work three jobs so the cake took a hit and a few other things and I'm still trying to learn that everything doesn't have to be perfect. I think I will be trying to learn that lesson my whole life!

The banner I cut out with my Silhouette. Love that machine, worth every penny!

Miss diva!

I love this picture!

Caitlyn looked so dang cute with Tyler's bandanna on I couldn't help but take a picture!

Justin looked very cool with his sunglasses on!

I am so glad that I didn't spend a ton of time on the cake because by the time we got to it we were in such a rush to get it cut that no one really saw it. Lesson learned, hopefully. ;)

Is it Easter Already?

We realized that we are having Stake Conference on Easter Sunday this year so I wanted the girls to wear there Easter dresses to church today. My friend Pat always gets each of the kids something when it is one of their birthdays so the girls got Easter dresses and Tyler got a new shirt. I was pretty excited about that because then I didn't have to worry about getting the girls dresses! I think they are so adorable. Trying to get Caitlyn to stand still is really hard. While I was trying to take pictures of the kids she stood behind the two older kids and turned her back to me. We thought that was pretty funny. I hope to get better pictures when I'm not so rushed but I thought these were pretty cute.

Don't Tyler and Megan look like they are having sooo much fun.

The only way that we could get Caitlyn to smile was if the kids swung her back and forth.

This may be the best picture I get this year. I was so glad she was standing still!
