Grandparents Day & other Randoms

Caroline's school had Grandparent's Day on Monday. Of course her Gigi and Mamaw took her. They had to sit through a long drawn out Lutheran sermon before they could have some fun.

It was pretty smart of her school to have the Scholastic Book Fair on the day the grandparents would be there! She got a princess book and Cole got a train book!

I long for the day where she isn't such a stinker when a stranger tries to take their picture. Just smile, sweetie. Just smile!

This was before school that day and she kept saying, "It is sooo cool that Mamaw and Gigi are coming to school. Isn't it soooo cool?"

Caroline cannot keep her hands off her brother. She is always picking him up and carrying him or holding him. They are only about 5 pounds apart from each other.

We had two very warm days this week and Cole wanted to ride his "Buzz Mobile".

Last weekend we went to a Happy Hour baby shower for our friends Collin and Kathryn. They are having twins! It was a lot of fun!

Who aren't babies anymore. Cole will be 2 in less than 8 weeks! He still acts like a baby, though.

We are Moving...again.

Eric and I have been renting our house this year. And while we love this current rental, we had decided we want to live on the newer side of town with the new schools.
So, we bought a new house and it is honestly the most perfect house for our lil fam of 4. We will move in late April/early May.
This will be the last time we move for like a decade. Or more.

New Year!!

It is so much fun seeing 2013 in the date on the blog. This will be a great year!
2012 was pretty awesome, too.

We decided we were going to move back to Illinois.
Eric passed Written Boards
We went to the beach with a ton of Birmingham friends
We moved to Illinois into a beautiful huge rental home!!
Eric and I took a cruise all by ourselves (and missed the kids.  a lot.)
Eric started working for Illinois Eye Surgeons.
Caroline started preschool.
Eric passed Oral Boards and officially became a Board Certified Ophthalmologist.
Eric's sister had her first baby, Madelyn!
We had Christmas morning in our own house for the first time, ever.

I'm sure a lot more happened, but that was it in a nutshell.

This year...
Cole will turn 2.
Caroline will turn 4.
We'll be buying a house (hopefully!).
We're going back to the beach with all our friends!
Cole will start a 2 year old preschool and Caroline will start pre-k.
That's all we have planned. For now.
