Our Christmas

Our Christmas Season was filled with......

SMOG

Cousins

Patiently waiting for Santa

Pulled apart the cute snowflakes that Mommy made

BOOTS!

Did a little sewing

Cute little boys dressed at presents

Marshmallow Creme faces and Gingerbread houses!

Wore some girl boots

Tried to catch a good picture by the tree

We remembered Christ's birth by playing out the nativity
(Zack in the yellow, i'm amazed he kept it on!)

Unwrapped presents s l o w l y, piece by tiny piece

We also showed Santa how much we appreciate him

We had a precious little moment between Zacky and Daddy. Kevin was leaning towards the tree to find the next present and Zack walked over to him and put his arm around his neck. I'm so glad I had my camera in hand!!!
Cheese!

Zack was a happy boy all day on Christmas, it was almost like he knew that it was a special day. We were in the car at one point and I kept looking back at him because he had this perma grin on, by the time I grabbed the camera it turned into this...

Our future football star, Kevin in the background hogging my wii fit!
Santa is seriously smarter than we think. I didn't even know I wanted a wii fit!

All in all we had a WONDEFUL Christmas, filled with fabulous family
and everything else you could ever hope for on Christmas!

Last but not least, My sister returned some movies to us on Christmas and thought it would be funny to wrap them all. I didn't open them because I knew what they were. The day after little Zacky Poo found them on the table and took it upon himself to open them all up. As you can see, it took him a long time, piece by tiny piece.
Sorry for the overload of pictures. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well and a
Happy New Year!

Goodbye possibly for FOREVER....

Farewell friends, I just wanted to gently let you know that I'm not going to be able to post pictures of my adorable little guy ever ever again. My computer will no longer allow me to upload pictures off my camera. It claims there is not enough space. My camera is punishing me as well, and we wont be taking pictures on Christmas morning because the memory card simply cannot hold any more of our precious memories.

So thank you fellow bloggers and friends that tune in to our most exciting lives. Maybe you can make a SHOUT OUT to my wonderful husband to get this problem fixed.

Hear that hubby? SHOUT OUT! We need some memory so we can continue to file away memories on this darned old computer.

Love YOU!

And YOU and YOU and YOU!

Which of these things is not like the others?

So I'm frantically trying to get my kitchen cleaned up so I can hurry and mop the floors before Zack wakes up from his nap. We've had a rough few days being back in town and i'm not in the mood for sillyness. I opened up the cupboard to put the rest of Zack's mixing bowls etc away to find this......

Iit made me laugh so hard! Usually I know when he does things like this but somehow I missed the pantry raid this time. That's my little organizer!

I really needed a little laugh today, hope you did too.

18 months and counting

Our little Zacky Wacky is now 18 months old. (well a few weeks ago)

Here are some things about Zack at 18 months...

He weighs 26 pounds and is 33 1/2 inches tall. So 30% in weight and 70% in height.

Zack is now going to nursery (HOORAY!) and could care less if we left him there all week.

Zackery is the happiest kid I have ever seen. Except when i'm trying to do the dishes.

He is learning to count, but only likes to say 2, 3 and were working on 4.

We are also learning to say the ABC's.

His best friends right now are his stuffed Tiger, his baby doll, his snuggly dog and 1 stuffed giraffe in particular. I think he has about 10 different giraffe's. At nap time and bedtime he needs all four of these guys cuddling with him.

Zack is beginning to put words together. The other night he asked where Kevin was and I told him Daddy went bye bye and he said "Daddy Bye" and then nodded his head that he was correct like he always does.

His favorite show to watch right now is "Mouse" or Mickey Mouse. We are going to Disneyland in February so I thought I should introduce him to the Disney characters. Little did I know Mouse would totally replace Elmo. SWEET!

Zack has become a very picky eater over the last few months but i'm learning how to sneak good foods into things that he already will eat.

The only 2 people he will talk to on the phone are my grandma and Kevin. I can see why he would talk to Kevin, but my grandma? I guess we both have a soft spot for her. Zack will take the phone (on speakerphone) and hold it on his shoulder and walk around the house and just yak and yak. Sometimes he forgets and leaves the phone on the couch with daddy wondering what happened.

Zack has always been chatty but just recently he just jabbers and jabbers away and we aren't sure what he is saying. We'll say "really?" or "no way!" and he just nods as if to say "you better believe it"

My favorite thing that he does these days is he will walk into the room and say "Hi Mamma or Hi Daddy"

We are working on colors right now. The only color he will say is blue and boy does he know the color blue! I can't wait until he knows another color. He points out blue everywhere we go and wont stop telling me about it until I assure him that he is right, it is blue.

Something funny he is starting to do is associate people with other people. For example: if we talk about Grandpa he will say in his own way "Grandma? Emily? Bernie? Kitty?" and I'll say "yep they are all at Grandpa's house" and he will nod his head with approval.

On Sunday on our way to church we had to go pick something up from someone and we didn't take the usual way. Zack knew we were going to church and started growling in the backseat because we weren't going the right way. It baffles me that he knows that!

Enough about my kid, thanks for letting me brag.

Love you baby!

My latest craft

I made these adorable alphabet blocks for Zack a few weeks ago. It was very time consuming but very easy. However, I still need to mod podge each side of all 26 blocks about 3 more times. I also need to sand all the edges and corners. YIKES! I was going to give them to him for Christmas but we are already having too much fun with them. Enjoy!

I'm sitting here listening to Josh Groban's Christmas Album, looking at old pictures of my baby, and bawling. Most of the time it doesn't seem like he is growing up very fast because we get to spend every minute of every day together. But looking at these pictures makes me realize how much he HAS grown up. Don't you just want to kiss those oh so chubby cheeks!

I'm sure next year at this time I will miss this moment too.

I'm so thankful for technology, how lucky are we that we get to keep
thousands of pictures to cherish forever and not have to print and
store them! We just have to store them on our computers that don't
have enough memory for the thousands of pictures that we take...

Love this BOY!

October

I thought I would jazz things up a bit and tell you the happenings of October Backwards...

We went to Heber on Halloween and spent the day with my aunt Suzy who lives there, my parents and my grandparents also came. Instead of trick-or-treating my aunts ward does a trunk-or-treat which I think is a fabulous idea!!!

Our sweet little doggy
(I'm really glad we chose this costume over elmo)

Zack and his "but" (bucket)

Poor child, he doesn't know how to eat a sucker

And a lovely family photo

Before the Halloween festivities us girls and Zacky went for a walk. On our walk we got to see mostly cows and we found a few horses. Zack loves horses! I'm pretty sure if we had let him he would crawl under the fence and try to play with them. He fed them grass and wasn't scared at all that his hand could be easily chomped off.

Zack kept getting Suzy's blender out to play with.

Halloween morning, Sporting his evening Halloween attire,
and posing with our totally spooky moldy pumpkins!

This bowl is the latest hat of choice.

This was the second time it "snowed" Check out his adorable hat!
Zack loved the snow! He kept saying "Oh NO!" (oh snow)

When Kevin and his brother went to the 49ers game and they actually
won, so I bought this outfit for Zack and he wore it to the airport to pick Daddy up.
And no I don't let him wear it out of the house very often.

Zack and I made this beautiful cake the other day!

Funny faces while eating the frosting

This was before the ward Halloween Party, the poor boy was getting sick
and didn't enjoy it too much. He looked so cute though!

I got my craft on!

Zack's favorite thing to play with these days is to get out all of my mixing bowls
and scatter them through out the house. Drives me nuts!

Oh yes, and this is Baby, we bought Zack a little pumpkin at the store a while
back and told him it was a baby pumpkin. Surprisingly he named it Baby.

Grandpa and Zacky brushing his beautiful teeth

Pumpkin Picking

This is how I roll with my skull shirt, hat backwards,
driving my car with one hand and my baby in the other.
I'm telling you, this is the coolest kid I know.

AHH! Learning to self feed. You aren't surprised that he is
the only kid in nursery that doesn't know how to drink
from a cup. The saddest part of all is that he doesn't
really want to learn... Oh well!
