Easter 2014

Easter this year started out just like any other Eaton Family gathering...

With a hunt

And good meat.
Luckily we weren't eating the meat that we were hunting.

Luke, king of the cheese face

These are the little hunters, the big ones had to do theirs next door.

Easter morning started off very spiritual as you can see.

This is what happens when you bribe the 5 year old to smile.
"if you give us one good picture you can eat your entire chocolate bunny"

I can't get over her dress. I can't wait to make more.
It's a shame she doesn't like dresses, cuz i'm making her another one!

Love these glasses too, and this sweet face.

May part 3: Zack's 7 day birthday celebration

Okay so I don't think we really celebrated his birthday for 7 days but it was probably pretty close.

My little man turned 6 this year!
We decided to celebrate with a LEGO party.
I must have been drinking when I made up the guest list.
We invited 20 kids, 17 of them actually came.........

Once I realized that, we looked at the weather forcast.
RAIN
OH CRAP!
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH 20 KIDS IN MY BASEMENT?????
It was noon the day of the party. It started to rain, and then poor, the power
flickered. I told the kids we needed to pray.
So we did. We said thanks for the rain, but would appreciate it
if it could stop around 4 pm.
(the storm wasn't supposed to end until 6)
At 3:00 the sun came out and dried up all the land!
I couldn't believe it!
The party went on.

We began with a race car building activity.
We teamed up because of the large number of BOYS in attendance.

We rigged up this fancy ramp and raced.

Presents

The best grandpa in the world set up an archery station.
(Just one more reason I was probably intoxicated while planning this party)
THANKS GRANDPA PA PA PA

Cupcakes, thank heaven these were not consumed in my house!
(the lego guys were really fun to make)

Zack and Maggie our next door dog.

Celebration #2 (Mothers Day)

I did a photo collage of Ruby when she turned 1, i'm sure nobody else cares
but I really love looking at how my kids have grown and changed over the years.
This wall has become the shrine as it housed photos of Emily for her farewell
up until I put these up.

Cute cousins
"Ninja training, keep out"

This party was almost pointless because there was only 1 person there
that wasn't there at the other birthday party. Since it was Mothers Day we invited
our neighbor and her boys as well (they were all at the other party)
Who doesn't like to party though?

ROLLER BLADES!

Grandma Rita always sends an explosion with her gifts.

Rubber legs, still getting used to the roller blades.

My favorite Zack quote on his b-day while getting a haircut
How old are you?
Zack: "I think i'm 6?"
Me: (laughing) "you are 6 silly, it's your birthday"

May part 2: Mothers Day

Trying to get a good shot with my kids

Love this one with my mom!

Pinterest fail?
Looked okay, frosting could have been better but I was being hasty.
Taste? A little rich.
Fun idea though

I wish I could remember something else about this day but I can't.

May part 1: A tooth

We discovered one day that Zack had his second loose tooth.
For some reason this time he was nervous about it and wouldn't wiggle or pull it out.
Life gets busy and you forget about that little tooth.
Until one day a few MONTHS later...

Your son comes to you and says
"Uh Mommy, I think I did something bad."
Me: (laugh) what did you do?
Him: (pointing to open mouth)
Me: You pulled your tooth out! Good job!
Him: (shaking his head, pointing to his tummy)
Me: (laughing) You swallowed it???? (laughing)
Him: (shaking his head yes)

You can hardly see it because the other tooth was already completely in, see the red dot?

So what do you do when you swallow a tooth?
You write the tooth fairy a note and hope she will be forgiving.

A little R&R

Ruby and Reese
They think they say they are sisters.
Cutest girls EVER.

On this day they rode up and down the entire street collecting dandelions from each yard.
Ruby loves taking people for rides on her bike.

April: Farewell Sister Emily Sarah Eaton

My baby sister has been serving a mission since April 9th,
in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
We took these photos a few days before she left.

Love this family of mine!

Even the crazy ones!
