Nashville Road Trip!

Kendall and I (in October) went to visit my cousin Anna at college in Nashville.  It was homecoming weekend and my aunt and uncle also went. We spent three nights away and it was heavenly.  We had such a fun, relaxing time!

Headed off...

Just a bit excited...

We were in the KFC drive-thru and this truck pulled up beside us!!

Newsies soundtrack over and over!  Best driving music!

SUCH a comfy bed and nice little suite for us for our time there, thanks to Cathy and Steve!

Checking out Trevecca's beautiful campus...

Checking out some of Nashville between school events...Anna and Kendall.
Thankful for this girl and the positive influence she has on KK.

In the Opry Land Hotel...amazing!!

Still in the hotel...

Homecoming parade on campus.  Very cute floats ideas!  Some threw out candy...others ice cream sandwiches! :)

The Parthenon in Nashville...

Fun seeing Anna's apt...

We enjoyed a huge buffet breakfast each morning!

My Aunt Cathy and Uncle Steve and Anna...wonderful weekend hosts!

It was such a fun weekend away and we are so thankful we got the opportunity to go and for the generosity that made it possible...

Corn Maze...

We went to a corn maze for the first time as a family this year.  We went at night to make things more fun.  We had a really good time!

They had some other random fun things to do...

Halloween!

We were so excited to have guests this year for Halloween!  My sister brought 3 of her kids on Halloween and spent that night.  They caught the end of Will's flag football game on Saturday and then we went to play at a park.  It has a Gaga ball court, which they had a blast playing!  My mom also got to come this year!

We 'de-dogged' Kendall's room so that my sister Amy could sleep in there.  Had to keep Rainbow out and she did not really like that.  She sat outside K's door looking pitiful.

Chicken and Dumplins for supper.  A tradition.  It was nice enough weather for the boys to sit outside (see the new deck?)...

And the girls insde...

Luke did not trick or treat, but walked around with everyone.  Everyone shared some candy with him.  This is Will the scary clown, Mason the zombie, and Luke the old man...which made me laugh so hard...

We were happy to have Grandmom and Grandad join us again this year!

Candy sorting and trading!

The girls...

The boys...

More sorting and trading...

This is from back before Halloween.  K making her owl costume...
pillowcase from goodwill and fabric scraps.  $2 costume! :)

The kids (all but Bo) went to a bowling party thrown by their orthodontist before Halloween.  They dressed differently than their normal costumes for it...

Maybe one too many pics of the eye makeup?  I was proud of it.  Ha, :)

And another celebration...dressing up for Awanas...

Happy boys leaving with their loot...
