I am trying my hand at taking my own kid pictures.  Here's what I put on my wall this year.  Some of them I cropped a little, but mostly this is what they are.  Love these kids!!

Henry's newborn pictures

My good friend Janelle Evans came over when Henry was just 9 days old to take these great pictures for me.

Isaac & Erik

This happened about a week after Henry was born.  Isaac comes up to Henry and me and starts talking to him.  "Hello, Mister.... Hello, Mister.... Hello, Mister..... (then he turns to me) what's his name again?" 

Voelckers tender moment from Sunday - Erik goes over to Carly and tells her he loves her...... as he pounds on her back with his fist.   tough love i guess.  This picture is of Erik in his tree, at least he claims it belongs to him.  He just loves going out front to climb it.

Henry Benjamin

Our new little Henry Benjamin!!  Benjamin is after his Great Grandpa Benjamin Epperson.  He was born on Saturday, September 13th at 11:14 am.  8 lbs 15 oz.  22 inches.  He has blue eyes and light brown hair.  His eyebrows and eyelashes are pretty fair so we are wondering if he's going to be blonde.  I had contractions for most of the day Friday, but by the time we got to the hospital Friday evening they had started to die off and they sent us home.  Then I woke up to some more in the morning and we started timing.  My parents came over and we left for the hospital around 4am.  I bet the kids were pretty excited when they found grandparents there in the morning.  Thanks Mom and Dad for everything!  They even got all 3 kids to soccer games that day too!  Nick scored a goal!  After Henry was born we had my brother, Donnie, video the kids reaction to finding out we had a boy.  There was an audible disappointment from the girls, but they recovered quickly, and it was fun to hear the "yippee" from the boys.  Later in the evening they came to the hospital to meet their new little brother.  The view from my bed was so sweet and I wish I had the camera with me at that moment.  When they came in, Jake had Henry, and the kids came in youngest to oldest all in a line, all leaning over and admiring the baby.  Each kid was really excited about their new little brother.  Then Isaac turned around to check on me, it was so sweet.  They each had a turn holding Henry.  Jake and I feel so blessed to have each of these kids in our family!

Camping

Our good friends, the Lamb family, invited us to go camping with them along with another family from church, the Chidesters.  It was one of the best camping trips we've ever been on.  We went tubing, played on the little beach by the lake, we went for walks, caught fish, shot guns (some of us), campfires, played on the playground, played horse shoes, and best of all got to be with some great friends.  Here are some highlight pictures.  Let's start with my personal favorite!

Summer haircuts.  I remember my brother Evan getting a similar one for the summer.  Robyn didn't think they were appropriate for church, so they got buzzed

Erik follows me in to the garage whenever he can, he's always talking to me about my 'workin's' which are tools.  He loves to work on the cars, even without pants on.  When Erik saw this picture up on the computer he said, "That's me workin on my stuff!"
