Portland!

We went to Portland for a weekend to see one of Justin’s Young Men before he left on his mission. We visited a lot of the people from our old ward and just enjoyed being back at our second home again.

First things first- Blue Star Donuts! and soy hot chocolate.

Found a cartoon picture of Justin in the airport!

A delicious lunch at Apollo Norte with the Knowles family and the Cooper family.

Had to stop at Salt and Straw

My baby next to gorgeous blue hydrangeas growing in the Cooper’s backyard. (I’m so jealous)

Dinner at the Cindrich’s after church to visit including Monica’s homemade ice cream cake:

L-R Noah, Eli, and Dylan Cindrich, Megan Montalbano, Alex and Chris Cooper, Monica And Matt Cindrich, Aiden Cindrich, myself, Judy and Justin

Received these cute emails Sunday night:

One more Blue Star Donut for the road...

Our flight was delayed for 8 hours! We thanked Grandma for taking care of Audrey and David for another unexpected day and rented a car to spend more time in the city while waiting for our flight.

I’ve missed seeing the Gorge and Judy needed a nap so we drove out to the beautiful Columbia River.

Vista House

I love this city.

Hung out at Barnes and Noble for awhile, found this book that listed all the mountains surrounding Portland.

Back in the airport, (this is Judy’s 12th flight!)

And finally back in Idaho!

That time of year...

First day of school for these two. Audrey started 6th grade and David started 2nd.

And Judy tried on Audrey’s old Halloween butterfly costume and delighted us all.

Ran across this picture the other day and it looked strangely familiar...

I think my kids are cuter models. ;)
