It's time to play catch-up

Ahh, life. It truly holds a magnificent hold on each one of us. And only briefly do I ever feel like I am in control. This past year has been full. Looking through these pictures I realize once again, we have been blessed. We have had a joyful family reunion. We have learned, played, found solace in nature, camped, had a delightful musical evening, tried crafting, helped host a family ball of 130+ people, held our own family Valentine dance. I tore my rotator cuff as well as broke my clavicle. The kids have become excellent little cleaners. Science and art may well be our favorite subjects this past year. We lost all of our plants through a summer hail storm. The kids have grown tremendously. Below are a few of the highlights of our past year, in no particular order.

Girls Weekend

We had so much fun this weekend! My mom, sis, daughter and I decided to take a little drive down I-70 through the gorgeous canyon and arrived in Utah a number of hours later. :) We woke up Saturday morning grabbed our clothes for a few days and headed out the door. I love it!

We relaxed..... NOT! When do we ever relax? We had a blast seeing family, making goals, shopping, eating a little too much (although who can have too much chocolate?), visiting dear professors, talking talking talking, going on motorcycle rides, painting nails, loving nature and just loving being alive and together.

Dancing the day away

As my daughter fell asleep the first day back home she turned to me and said, "Mommy, I loved our trip. I can't wait to go again next summer!" May it so be! And props to the husband and brother who supported our spontaneity and had a boys weekend with my little boys.
