We had a great day with a bunch of family and friends. We're so thankful for our sweet baby girl. She's brought us so much joy, and we can't wait to see more and more of her personality, which is starting to come out! She's so adventurous and independent, but so sweet and content, too.

Father's Day

They do love their Daddy! We had a great day celebrating what a great Dad he is. We went to church, ate lunch at home, then grilled an awesome dinner outside and just enjoyed the day together. It was great!

8 months!

Our sweet baby girl is 8 months old! She's so happy and content. We love watching her explore the whole house with her skills of crawling on hands and knees now and pulling up on everything. It can be stressful since her brothers have toys she could choke on, but we're learning how to keep her safe in this new and fun stage. She's so cuddly and LOVES her brothers. The feeling is definitely mutual, as the boys want to get in her crib to tell her goodnight and read her a book. It's precious.

Best buddies

Sam's best buddy at school is also a Sam. They look similar and are inseparable. We got to see them in action at the Heiskell family picnic on Friday. Precious!

Cars 2 Birthday

Owen picked out the theme of his Birthday months beforehand. He was so excited. He picked out the cake at Publix and even asked for it to be chocolate instead of the traditional Birthday cake. It was fun to plan!

Singing Happy Birthday

We set up a table with these food labels. (chocolate donuts that looked like tires, water, vegetables and dip for our healthy friends, Cars 2 juicy juices, and pretzels.

We got the cake at Publix, because they make the best cake!

We borrowed the decorations from my dear friend, Heather. She got red and checked fabric and made the flags, table cloth and banners.

We did a race from one end of the sidewalk to the other. It was cute that Sam wanted to wave the flag at the finish line and let everyone know that Owen was the winner...of the last lap! (He was totally last!) 

Hope you felt loved and appreciated, O! You are so blessed to have so many people in your life that love you and are helping you grow into a terrific little guy.

No, I Free

Last year on Owen's 2nd Birthday, I woke him up saying "happy Birthday, you're two!"

He quickly said, "No, I free (three)"

He has been looking forward to being three for a long time! He has grown so much this past year. He's starting to look more like a kid and less like a toddler. I was a little sad about this, but I realize that he made a great baby, one year old, two year old, and now he'll be a great and fun three year old.

I love this kid!

This past year, Owen:

He learned how to use the potty

Discovered his love for this hoodie and baseball.

Helped us move from our condo!

Started pedaling his bike by himself

Showed us more of his personality

Learned how to hit a pitch...and he's good at it!

Became a big brother.

Fell in love with "Wika Queeng"

Owen, we love you so, so much. I honestly have a hard time disciplining you and training you because you're so funny and cute to me all the time. I pray that you would continue to be fun-loving and generally happy.

I can't help but post this video. He reads so well and I don't want to forget this stage. He loves reading! He can actually recap what it said afterwards too, so he's comprehending it. So proud of our biggest buddy!
