Allie's 4mo. check-up

Allie is just so cute! She weighed in at 14lbs 13.8 oz. and measured 25inches long! Compared to Malia at this age, Allie is one pound heavier, and one inch longer. She grabs at everything, smiles on a dime, scoots on the floor (on her back), laughs at Malia, is wearing 6mo. clothes and size 2 diapers (and will be in 3 shortly), still sleeps through the night (swaddled), is eating 4-5oz. when measured in a bottle, and is probably doing lots of other things that I can't remember. BUT.... the one thing I do know, is this girl is almost sitting up on her own! It is hard to tell, but her back is NOT touching the couch in this picture. She was probably sitting up for a good 10seconds on her own! It is crazy how much "faster" it seems that #2 grows. I swear I was "waiting" for Malia to hit all sorts of new stages, but with Allie... I just want her to SLOW down!

Decorating the Tree!

The Monday after our crazy weekend we blasted some Christmas music and decorated the tree! It was a lot of fun. Malia is at the fun age where she gets excited to help. I LOVE how she keeps saying "Mama!? Santa bring presents next Christmas Day and, and, and, and, bring presents and put under tree!!! Yay! Mmmm... My like candy canes!" This Christmas is going to be AWESOME!

Me and Allie dancing to the music!

Malia getting into the groove as she puts up the ornaments.

She wanted to take a picture with her 'first Christmas' ornament.

This girl LOVES candy canes.

Helping Daddy decorate the tree!

And... voila! Our beautiful tree, with our beautiful girls! (All those boxes were decorations for our church Christmas party. There were probably 75 more boxes wrapped upstairs in the girls' rooms. Boy am I glad that is all over with!)

We LOVE our two girls! Life is EXTRA busy, and they sure can be a handful... but they are soooo much FUN!

Every year the girls get a new ornament. Here is Malia's. She picked it out because it has a "Louie"... the name of her penguin.

And here is Allie's... I love how she is trying to eat it. What is it with babies putting EVERYTHING in their mouths!

"Oh what fun!"

LaCenter Tree Lighting!

Just north of us is a cute little town called LaCenter. I work most of my days up there and just LOVE it! Sometimes we secretly wish we had moved there because the town and community do so many fun things. Sunday evening was their Tree Lighting and it was so much fun hanging with the Kelseys, singing carols, sipping hot chocolate, watching fireworks, and meeting Santa!

Malia and Laelle had a GREAT time!

This is a super crappy picture, but it was so fun to watch the fireworks right after they lit the tree. What a fun tradition! Allie wasn't really in the best of moods this night, but stopped crying as soon as the firework show started. I think she LOVED the bright lights. I am surprised the sound didn't bother her!

Hamming it up for the camera!

"Choo choo!"

Thank goodness! A moment with Allie NOT crying... I think she was just tired of being out in the cold all weekend and having to be bundled up.

And.... the BEST part of all!!!! My girls with Santa and Mrs. Claus! We were so surprised at how excited Malia was to sit on his lap and "ask" for a candy cane. She is usually so shy, so it was pretty unbelievable! This will be such a fun memory! I LOVE it!

Cutting down the Christmas Tree!

Like I said earlier... we had a busy weekend! Right after the run we headed out to an AMAZING Christmas tree farm where it was only $10 for any Noble, any size!

Here's us getting ready to pick out our tree!

Our cute girlies...

Malia kept picking out all the little "baby" trees. It was cute.

You gotta do what you gotta do right? I must have been sitting in front of the tree a family wanted because they walked around us in circles several times!

Way to go Aaron!

We are so happy that Auntie Laura got to share in the fun of our traditions! Her family doesn't live in the area, so it was fun to spread the Christmas joy!

Malia just seems so big! I LOVE that she will smile for the camera now!

Helping daddy out!

Just wait until you see our tree decorated!
