More River and Boating Fun!

I didn't get the chance to take many pictures of our last excursion, and many of you did not believe that it was really ME wakeboarding behind the boat. So... enjoy!

Hangin by the fire...

Our camping destination along the Columbia River.
Taking camping seriously enough to find a walking stick!

Enjoying some relaxing fun in the sun!
We got to see some pretty HUGE boats pass on by!

Daddy and Malia getting ready to watch Mom wakeboard.
(We tried to arrange boat rides during nap time so that Malia would fall asleep... thus the sleepy look.)

Here we go! I've gotten brave enough for jumps too... next time we'll catch it on camera.

Here is a video for anyone interested! Thanks to the Rundorffs for taking us out!

Tooth Fairy Princess

Malia and I were in the LaCenter Parade, for work, to celebrate its 100 years!

We had a great time!
So great that Malia was dying to brush her teeth when we got home.

Malia's One 1/2 Yr Pics!

We had quite the success at Flash on Saturday! We were incredibly worried with how Malia would do since she is quite the busy body these days. Asking her to sit still for a picture is like asking her to... oh I don't know... do something terrible I guess! It is amazing how much joy can be captured on film with a tiny little bouncy ball. So... all of you who have a difficult time getting your child to focus on the camera, try playing "catch". When your child throws the ball back, waive it above your head as if to throw it in their direction, and watch the SMILES unfold!

Clark County Fair!

Well, its that time of year again! Most of you know that the Clark County Fair is something we look forward to ALL YEAR LONG! We LOVE the Demolition Derby and Hypnotist shows, we LOVE cruisin around the displays, we LOVE spending our "pocket change" on greasy fair food, and best of all... we LOVE people watching! There are soooo many crazys to be seen at our county fair :)

This year they put on an amazing display of animals. Not only were there Bald Eagles and Owls within an arms reach, but so were Tigers and Lions! You can't even get this close in the zoo. Believe it or not, but these pictures on NOT zoomed in...

Malia was having fun trying to say the animal names and their sounds. She really liked saying "hoot hoot" and "moooo".

"Don't ya think my tractor's sexy?!?"

Gotta get a picture with the big scary animals! Malia kept staring at this dog in awe... as if wondering how the heck he got so big.

We went home for nap time, and I caught this cute little girl looking EXTREMELY adorable as we got ready to head back out to the fair.

We headed to the Dock Dogs, something we've missed every year, and watched this dog jump 23feet!

Thanks to our neighbs, the Wishards, for telling us about this event :)

Most rides were a RIP-OFF, but we splurged and took Malia on the carousel. It was a test to see if she would do well on a $6 pony ride. Good thing we tried the carousel first, the fun lasted for maybe a minute. Maybe NEXT year she'll be ready for a pony ride, AND make it worth the money :)

Charity and Landon having a blast!
Steve and Laelle anxiously awaiting her turn to ride next year!
(The Kelsey's are also good neighborhood friends.)
Here's the group of us from the hood waiting for the derby to begin... have we started another "neighborhood" tradition? (sorry for the blurry pic)
"Welcome to the 2009 Demolition Derby!!!"
(rumble, rumble, rumble)

Malia cheering... "Yay!!!!"

It is always fun when this happens...

Our Brewer Family Tradition... A SUCCESS!

Here's a really freaky picture I accidentally took... the people are see-through! The crazy thing is that I didn't notice anyone walk by when I took the picture. Could they be the Demolition Derby Ghosts of the past?

What a beautiful girl!

We just think Malia is beautiful, especially if you can get past her messy hair... :)

RoadTrip!

Aaron, Malia and I headed up to Seattle for a Mariners Game! It was a randomly planned trip... we just wanted to get out and explore the city!
***
We first made a stop in Tacoma at the Brown & Haley factory. We never should have gone... we bought way too much candy! At this factory they sell "mishaps" and "miswraps" at an extremely discounted price. You can't pass up some cheap, yet yummy Almond Roca!

Once in Seattle we walked our way up to Pike's Place. There were sooo many people! It was quite the experience.

Malia was obviously thrilled to go from her car seat (which she spent hours in), to her stroller...

I loved the neon signs.

The first Starbucks to open in Seattle.

The City view...

The waterfront view...

Funny Faces!

The infamous space needle! By now we must have walked 10-15 blocks, and still had 10 more to go... not to mention we still had to walk back towards Safeco Field.

Random sidewalk art...

We finally made it!

ChinaTown

One of the many random things to be seen in Seattle...
A man in a Chicken costume.

Safeco Field

"We want a pitcher, not a belly itcher!"

Malia's first experience with cotton candy. She didn't really like it...

Hooray! What a fun trip!

Escaping the heat...

There is no better way to escape the summer heat than to spend days on the river in your swimsuit!

Malia and our handsome little neighbor Landon.

Hoku wakeboarding!

Malia knocked out from having way too much fun on the boat.
