Jade van Beever

At 8:05 am Jade finally arrived. She came in at a whopping 10lbs 10ozs and 21.25 inches... imagine if Hayley had actually had gestational diabetes! After a scare that the OB nicked Hayley's ureter and a negative pyelogram all is well and Hayley and Jade are in the hospital resting (I'm home studying one last time before boards tomorrow)... although Hayley is still very nauseous. The c-section was not as easy as everyone told Hayley it would be, but a normal delivery with this little girl would have proven very bad for both mom and Jade. More posts to come once Hayley and Jade are home. It's flu season so the boys haven't really gotten to hold Jade or see their mom... hospital policy.

Wicked

I got to see Wicked on Saturday in San Francisco with my sisters and their hubbies and my dad. It was really good and it totally met my expectations. I tried not to let it get built up too much with all the hype but I was pleasantly surprised. I was kind of nervous being so pregnant and all but I didn't want to miss it! I kept thinking these pants are so tight I should have worn my other ones, are they going to cut off the circulation to my baby?...Is the baby moving?.... I also kind of dehydrated myself because I didn't want to miss anything by going to the bathroom...not such a good idea. Will couldn't make it because he was working and my mom had to go to Utah to help my sister with her twins so my dad was my Valentine's date:)

I have one week left in this pregnancy and I am getting anxious to get this baby out. I am so excited to meet her and see the boys with her. I also really want to be active and get in shape, I feel like such a blob laying on the couch a lot.

Happy Birthday Luke!

Luke was such a generous birthday boy. He let Cohen open all the green presents and play with all his new toys. I took Luke into the dr. for his preschool physical and 4 year check up and he did really well. I was busting up when they did the hearing test because he would put his hands up really high for the loud sounds and really low for the quiet sounds. He was in the 90th percentile for height and the 75th for weight. The doctor also kept commenting on his muscle mass and manly body, it made me laugh. He is such a sweet heart I can't wait to see him with a little baby sister. He is a very gentle and loving kid.

Let the Gardening Begin

Since I have a little time off this week to study for my licensing exam I took a break and worked on our garden. You gotta love the long California growing season!
