My baby girl is 8 months old - where does the time go!

My Presley Grace is 8 months old. I can't believe how fast time goes. She is a complete joy and I can't imagine our family without her.

She has 2 little teeth that make her smile twice as cute!

Presley can often be seen sticking her tongue out lizard style. It is the cutest thing! I have tried to get a picture of it but have been unsuccessful at capturing the exact look. We like to joke that someday, her prince charming will appreciate her tongue skills ;) !

She is exploring her voice now and babbling quite a bit. She says "mama" regularly which melts my heart every time I hear it.

Presley is becoming quite the momma's girl. Her eyes light up when I walk in the room and I don't think I have ever felt more special :).

We started exploring the world of baby food but Presley has been slow to embrace much. She would rather nurse for every meal - and 2 times a night as well! I'm not sure I remember what it is like to sleep through the night anymore!

She is chunky with amazing, rolly thighs that make you just want to pinch them. I love a nice chunky baby! Her hair is very unruly and sticks straight up despite my best efforts to tame it. Presley has bluish gray eyes and is looking more and more like her older brother everyday. I couldn't love this little girl any more. I am so blessed to be her mama!

All dressed up for Easter

Knowing that Sunday morning, Easter morning, would be hectic, I dressed the kids up a few days before and took pictures of them in their Easter outfits. I am so glad I did - Sunday was crazy as usual! I'm pretty sure I have some of the prettiest babies around :). But I am a little bias... I sure do love these kids!

Coming back...hopefully!

I can't believe it has been almost 5 months since my last blog post. Life has been full. There have been many things clamoring for my attention and I haven't been able to blog like I want. This blog has been a record of our family and my children and I am sad that I have missed so many months of blogging their growth.

Just to catch you up a little on what we have been doing the last 5 months: We moved out of my in-laws after over 3 years of living with them! I will elaborate more on our move later, but it has been a wonderful opportunity for us to be on our own again. We will forever be grateful to my in-laws for allowing us to live with them.

Spencer turned 4 in November and my baby girl, Presley, is now 7 months old. I can't believe how quickly they grow! Spencer is enjoying preschool and loves to be around his little sister. No one can make Presley laugh like Spencer can! Presley is sitting up on her own now, teething, and beginning to explore the world of baby food. I have so many adorable pictures to post of the kids as soon as I get the hang of using our new computer...

I hope to ease back into blogging on a more regular basis. Bear with me as I try to work it back into my life. Thanks for coming back to read about us!

Presley's Blessing Day

Sunday was Presley's special day - her blessing day at church. She looked beautiful all dressed up in white. Presley was blessed in the dress I wore for my blessing almost 28 years ago, and the dress that each of my sisters were blessed in too. It was wonderful to have our families there to share the day with us. Here are some pics of the fam and sweet Presley in her dress:

Playing Catch Up! We are now The Davis Family Four...

I know. I haven't been a very good blogger lately. But I could say the same about some of you... :) Having a new baby will do that to ya. Here is my attempt to catch up on our life lately:

The proud big brother: Spencer lovin' on his baby sister.
Man he loves her - sometimes a little too much!

Spencer's BFFs and cousins, Brynlee and Addy, were here visiting for a few weeks in August.
He sure does miss them! Baltimore is just too far from Lubbock, Texas!

Life with two kiddos has been a little crazy for me. Spencer is such a big helper though. I am still trying to perfect the art of getting 2 kids ready, myself ready, and out the door on time. Any tips you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Presley in her church dress contemplating life :)

Spencer has been swimming alot this summer.
He has been perfecting his diving skills...

And practicing tricks with dad in the pool!

This cute girl may look adorable, peaceful, and quiet. But wait until you put her in the car. She does NOT like riding in the car right now! Hopefully that will pass soon...it is no fun listening to her scream whenever we are in the car.

My two sidekicks in the kitchen

We took Spencer to the South Plains Fair this past week to see the animals, eat some fair food and ride a couple rides. Of course seeing the cows is one of the highlights...

I just love the look on his face as he holds the baby chick!

Presley Grace at 1 month old

Presley is becoming more aware of things around her.
She grunts loudly and often - more than I ever remember Spencer grunting as a baby.
Presley loves her bouncy seat, particularly when the vibrating is turned on.
Spencer never liked the vibrating.
I find myself comparing her a lot to Spencer when he was a baby.
Presley is definitely her own person.
I love to see her personality coming out.
She is starting to smile often and she loves to stick her tongue out.
Presley is starting to put on some 'chub' and is filling out her clothes much better now.
She has the second child curse - I don't take near as many pictures of her as I did of Spencer.
I need to step it up.
Oh how I love this adorable baby!
I love her smell, her sweet baby skin, the times I can just gaze at her as I feed her.
She has filled up my life in such an amazing way.
I can't imagine my life without her; it's as if she has always been part of my life.

Thanks for playing catch up with me!
