A busy summer!!!
It started with cousins week in Utah! As you can see the kids had a ball at bear lake the first day we were there.
It was cousin Brandon's birthday that day, so we celebrated by having a water balloon fight. The kids LOVED it! Boys vs. Girls
No birthday party is complete without a pinata. The cousins enjoying their candy!!
We camped at this really great camp site up Logan Canyon, and this was their favorite thing to do! The river was just by our camp ground and it was just the right speed for all the kids to enjoy!
Except this one! She wanted nothing to do with the river, oh well! At least she knows what she wants.
The kids also had fun camping and hunting with Dad while Mom was on the 3 day walk!
Lovin' the hot spring at Johnson's Bridge

Mexico!!
Eric and I went to Mexico the end of April, and I am just now getting around to posting a few pics! The first night we got there I was sick with the stomach flu (which everyone in our family had before we left, except me). Go figure, I would wait until we are in Mexico to get sick. Anyway, we did have a great time other than the first night. Here are some pics of us at our hotel!
As you can see, we mostly just enjoyed our time on the beach. This picture was taken right after a wave engulfed Eric. He lost his sunglasses and a hotel beach towel, but managed to save his newly purchased hat! Needless to say, he was just a little PO'd!
On Friday we drove up the coast to San Jose Del Cabo, where we tried our luck with surfing! I should tell you that last summer Eric and I took surf lessons when we were in California and we were naturals, so why not try the waves in Cabo, Right? The waves here were NOTHING like the waves in Cali! There were rocks everywhere and the waves were much bigger! Oh well, "just stay between the stairs" is what the guy who rented us the boards told us. This is goin' be cake, I can do this, is what I kept repeating in my mind. So we paddle out on our boards and wait for the waves. The first wave that I actually caught, I stood up a little too soon and the wave caught my board just as I was falling, causing me to be dragged under the wave the entire way to shore. (this was the scarriest part because everytime I would come up for air the under current would pull me right back under the wave) Needless to say, I made it to shore only to realize that I had landed in a bunch of rocks where I stayed for quite sometime, not because I wanted to, but because 1) my swimsuit bottoms were completely off of me and dangling on the leash of my board, and 2) because the waves were continuing to crash into me and knocking me back into the rocks. However, I somehow managed to get my bottoms back on and paddle back out to tell Eric that I was done surfing for the day! (oh yeah, back there in the rocks I stepped on a sea urchin too, OUCH) So I get to Eric and the first things he says is "did you catch it". Instead of saying any thing, I just put my legs up on the board. I have sea urchin spines sticking out of my feet and both my legs are bleeding from the rocks that I had been slammed against. (I'm thinkin' shark bait) So, I head back for shore and as I am getting out of the water, I step on another sea urchin! By that time I had definately had my fill of surfing in Cabo!! Enjoy the pics
Here are pictures of Eric enjoying the waves!!
Oh yeah, somewhere along the way someone told us that if you pee on the sea urchin spines it will take the sting away. Actually, come to think of it, it might have been off that movie Surf's Up that we watched with the kids! Anyway, it didn't work for me:o(
Just a few of the highlights from our trip!
