princess camp

This princess camp was so cute! I'm glad we did this! It was 3 days and every day they did different princess activities. When we walked in there was a huge tent set up covered in twinkle lights and pink tool and a huge Cinderellas castle back drop. The first day they had a princess bravery test complete with an obstacle course. They learned how to curtsy and wave like a princess. The second day they made crowns and wands and played princess games. And the 3rd day they had a big tea party and got their hair and makeup done for a princess coronation. They had a "real" princess come it to give them all crowns and they got to walk down the red carpet and get a crown. Rylie totally thought she was a real princess and was so shy. She loved the whole thing, she really thinks she's a princess now. I loved it all and would totally do it again next year. It's totally every little girls dream! The above pictures is the "real" princess that came in.Walking down the red carpet

here comes the bride

My good friend Coral got married yesterday. I did her make up for her and spent the day helping get things ready. It was a beautiful wedding and I was so happy for her!
Can I ever get a normal picture out of this guy?

Pioneer day??

I had never heard of this silly holiday until I moved here. I hate it when the roads are closed because of parades and that was everywhere it seemed. The bank was even closed! What the heck! The only good thing about it was that we got to get together for yet another bbq and more fireworks.

I love this picture you don't even need to see whats going on, you can tell by the kids faces

He was very worried at first.

The guy next to Mike is famous for being Mike's twin. They get mistaken for each other all the time at church. Our kids even get confused. I said it's going to get really awkward when the wives get confused.......

Up Chuck E. Cheese

We took the kids to Chuck E Cheese's yesterday. Oh the memories of this place. I used to love going there when I was a little kids. It was so cool. Now going back there with my own kids was trippy. It's really not that cool. And really ghetto. But little kids don't care! They love the dirty rides and the falling apart machines. And getting tickets was like getting gold for them! To bad the prizes were lame. I seriously felt gross when we got home like I needed a shower. The kids had a blast and that all that matters.

Peek-a-boo

My sister turned me on to this wonderful hair trend. They're called peek-a-boos. It's basically peices of hair that you bleach, but they are hidden so you only see them occasionally. I think they're fun. So we put several in my hair today. I'm usually okay with trying anything in my hair, I once had neon pink highlights.

THE FRAY!!

My cute husband got my sister and I tickets to see The Fray. I was so excited! I was just telling him how much I liked them and wanted to get their cd. It was last night at the Usana Amphitheater. A couple other bands played with them, Meese and Jacks Manequin, that I have never heard of but have heard some of their songs on the radio. I have never really been to a concert before so I was really excited and they did not disappoint. It was a really good concert everyone was up and dancing the whole time. I had so much with my goofy sister. It was really hard to get a good picture of the band with all the flashing lights so this is as good as it gets.

This is a great picture, we were suppose to both be doing a retarded face, facing the entire audience, she was pretty upset when she saw that she was only one doing it and everyone saw her.

Jamie rocking out

If you don't know who The Fray are, let me remind you, I'm sure you've heard this song on the radio and if you're a fan of Greys Anatomy then you definitely know who they are!! I'm so mad because I got such a good video of them performing the "How to save a life" song and it won't download for me! UGH! It was really loud so the sound is a little fuzzy, but you get the idea.

Cute little stinkers

Yesterday my husband and I spoke in church and so we had some friends watching our kids for us since we could not keep them up on the stand. After the meeting, my friend came up to me and said "It was the cutest thing, I asked rylie who her favorite Disney princess was and she said 'my mommy' " Awwww. That made me smile.

The other day I was getting dressed for the day and I was wearing a Maxi dress and Davis came in and saw me and said "Yike it, dess. Yike it, dess. Pitty dess mommy!" Meaning- Like it, Dress, like it, dress. Pretty dress mommy. So cute.

Today Davis was looking for his "Cozy" meaning blanket and he was walking all around the house saying "Cony, are you? Cony, are you?" And so I asked him where it was and he said "Don't know diz mommy. Cony gone" as he shrugs his shoulders up and down. "diz" meaning "where it is." Love it.

Davis calls chap stick "wa-tiss" Don't ask me why, something to do with trying to say "lip gloss" When Rylie was a toddler she called it "yipsips" for lipstick. Anyway, today he was playing with a tube of "wa-tiss" saying "Watiss boken, help pees" because he wanted me to twist it up so could put it on. He also calls make-up "yup up" and contantly wants me to put blush on him.

When it's Sunday Davis always gets really excited for "Chruch day" and he always wants me to do his hair for him so yesterday I I did his hair and held him up so he could see it in the mirror and he said "Hanpom" for "handsome" Every day he asks me if its Church day and when I say no he says "oh,.... pay day?" for "play day"

He now tells us when he poopin so he'll go in corner and say "Dadis poopin" and the other night he wouldn't go to sleep so Mike went in there to tell to lay down he said "Dadis poop." So mike checked his diaper and Davis started laughing and said "No poop, dus potty." and thought he was so funny. He just wanted to get out of the crib!

I love watching him learn new words, its so much fun!

chain reaction

This morning was interesting. Every morning when I wake up I am terrified to find out what awaits me on the outside of my bedroom. My daughter still wakes up a few hours before anyone else and has free range of the house. I have gone over and over and over the things she is and is not allowed to do. And every day I hope that something I've said has sunken in and she might behave. This morning I woke to her once again, in her brothers room. She woke him up early and was playing in his crib. So I get them out and walk into the kitchen to get cereal out for them. I tried to open the pantry and it's locked...from the inside. So I ask her where the key is and of course she doesn't know. Why would she? I'm already mad because I had to wake up early and yell at her for once again going in her brothers room. So I grab a screw driver and start unscrewing the doorknob. I get the front off and the back is still screwed into the door. I then start banging on the doorknob with the screwdriver to try and brake it off. At this point I am willing to brake the door down to get it open. (which I did try and my poor foot has the proof.) All I wanted was the door open. I didn't care how it got open. So here I am banging and banging on the metal doorknob trying to brake it off. I got so mad I threw the screwdriver at the sink and it bounced up and hit a shelf above it, which fell down and knocked a glass off the counter that shattered on the floor and knocked a bunch of dishes on the floor. Oh and broke the shelf, which pulled the nails out of the wall and ripped the dry wall apart. At this point Davis is crying in his seat because he's scared. So I start laughing. Rylie is in her room crying, Davis is crying, I am laughing and crying. And the door still isn't open. Michael then walks into the kitchen and asks what the heck is going on. I then burst into tears telling the story about how I couldn't get the door open. It sounded pretty pathetic retelling the events, but I was mad okay!!! So the pantry door won today, it won the battle, But I will win the war!

A few hours later I found the key on my bathroom sink.

The Headboard

I had a really hard time getting a good picture of the headboard. Since my camera is broken I was using my moms and I couldn't figure out the flash, so all the pictures make it look really dark. It does have a dark stain on it but it's not quite as dark as it looks in the pictures. It's just dark brown. I wanted to do the middle piece of wood bead board but apparently there is no such thing as stainable bead board, it only comes prefinished or with a veneer on it, according to Home Depot. And it's extremely expensive. We finished this whole project for $50. I thinks that pretty dang good. So here are some different angles of it, it's massive and makes our bed look huge, I love it. Michael did a very good job crafting this amazing piece of furniture. Thanks Mikey! He's now working on projects for other people, so if you have any requests he would love to make you something. It's his new hobby.

Happy 4th!!

We had so much this 4th of July. Usually we don't anything because my kids always need to go to bed so we don't get to do anything fun. We usually just go to sleep. But this year it started out with an early morining race! We did the Freedom Festival 5k and it was so fun. My mom was speed walking as fast as my sister and I were jogging! Shes amazing!

Post race

After the race we went to breakfast with Mike and the kids at Kneaders, he bought the kids cowboy hats and they loved them!-
Then we came back and went swimming with some friends and then spent the rest of the day playing the Wii. It was hillarious, My mom and Grandma tried it and actually beat me at bowling! Go Grandma!!!

Then we had a big bbq with my my fam and our friends Corrine and Eric. Then we lit off fire works for the rest of the evening with the kids. They were terrified of the loud ones so they went to bed. But it turned out to be a very fun day!!!

cute kids

I took some pictures of the kids to use up the rest of my film on my camera and they turned out pretty cute.

Bathroom makeover

BEFORE

AFTER

My mom brought up this really cool color of paint for my bathroom. This is the master bathroom, not the disaster with the stain bathroom. So I had fun painting.
