30 weeks

We got to go to the Doctor yesterday to see how Jordyn is doing and she is doing great. She is measuring 2 days bigger then what she should be (29 weeks instead of 28 weeks and 5 days) and weights 2.12 lb. We are VERY happy that she is growing. Jordyn is perfect. This is a 4D picture of her. She does not like people bugging her so she kept putting her hands in front of her face. This is as good as they could get before she rolled over and would not move.

Hair Cuts

Hair Cuts

Before we could leave on are trip the boys needed hair cuts. It was the first time Jason had given them one. It turned out great, and there weren't too many tears.

Jason's Birthday

Jason's Birthday

For Jason's 33 Birthday my parents watched the kids so we could go out to dinner. Then we came home and had cake with the boys.
All Jason wanted for his birthday was this watch and that is all you get when it is lots of money.

It's a GIRL

For those of you who do not know Jason and I and having another baby and it's a GIRL! Her name is going to be Jordyn Ann Sydenham. We are excited, and stressed at the same time, for her to come. At 20 weeks we found out that she has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which means that she doesn't have the left half of her heart. When they first told us, all we could do was cry. We did not understand what this meant and how she was going to be ok. Then they sent us down to Primary Children's Hospital. They ran more tests on me and her. Then they tried to tell us what they were going to have to do. She is going to have what is called the Norwood Procedure (you can look up what they do during the surgeries because i don't really get it), which is three open heart surgeries. The first one she will have within a week of her being born. Another 3-6 months later, and finally between 2-4 years old.

Right now there are a lot of questions that we have that no one can answer. They have not been doing these surgeries long enough to know how her life will be or how long it will be. They cannot even tell us when we can bring her home. The Dr. told us that hopefully she only has to be in the hospital for a month after her first surgery. I just hope we are home for Christmas We do know that the first surgery is the hardest and it gets easier after that. While she is inside me she is ok and is growing just like any other baby. The only things that have changed are i go to the Dr. A LOT more, and they are going to have to take her between 38-39 weeks. They do this because there is a chance that she might stop growing when she hits a certain weight, because her heart wont be able to get her any bigger. Also they want my delivery to be scheduled because all of mine and Jordyn's Drs have to be there. I am going to have her at the U of U so they can take her right over to Primary Children's.

All we can do right now is remember how blessed we are. I don't know what we would do without all the people that love us. I am so thankful that we have great family and friends that are so willing to help us in any way that we need. I know that when Jordyn is born that Miles and Tyson will have a lot of people that love them and will help take care of them. We are blessed to live in Utah where there is a Hospital that knows how to take care of her and will do all that they can to give her a good life. I know it will be a blessing in my family's life, and many others, to have Jordyn in it. She is our angel and we will love every minute we get to spend with her and hopefully it will be a lot. Thank you for all your prayers and love.

Here's a couple links if you want to learn more about HLHS, HLHS II, HLHS III.

House

The House is coming along. The outside is all done and they have almost finished framing the inside. We think we know what kind of rock we are going to put on and we are starting to meet with LOTS of people to plan what everything will look like. It is going ok and Jason and I are agreeing on most things. I am hoping to have everything picked out soon, so I don't have to worry about anything (to do with the house) when Jordyn is here.

Lagoon

For Easter my dad got all of us Lagoon passes. Tyson and Jason stayed home, because they didn't think it would be fun. Miles had so much fun and did not want to leave at 10 when the park was closed.

Jaycee and Miles did not do so well. They were on the wall the entire time

My sisters and Mom took Miles on all the rides because I could not go

Grandpa and Colbie Kirk

This was Miles favorite ride. I think he went on it 4 or 5 times
