President George H. W. Bush and others

As we were walking up to the White House, we saw Jenna Bush...as we got closer we saw that she was talking with her Grandfather and Greta Van Susteren. As we were watching and taking pictures, Troy Aikman walked up to shake the President's hand. He was there to do a book reading. (Throughout the day, there were several book reading areas on the lawn and all famous people were doing the readings for them.) Then, I had to go and attend to unhappy children who don't find these people interesting, and just after I left, Greg got to meet and shake the President's hand. Greg also had him sign one of our tickets. Greg was very excited and said that he's a very nice man. Maybe he'll have us over for dinner sometime.

White House Easter Egg Roll

Today was the Annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Greg had to sleep on the sidewalk in DC on Friday night to get us tickets. He wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but we had a blast. The girls had fun for the most part. There were tons of characters there. Andy especially loves hugging them...we saw Mickey Mouse, the Jonas Brothers, the Easter Bunny, Clifford, Curious George, and others. They colored, Syd got her face painted, and we ran into some of our friends. We'll definately be going again. Any of you who have small kids and want to visit...Easter is a good time, then you could join us when we go :)

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was fun and very busy. Right when the girls woke up they had an egg hunt on the back porch and saw what the Easter Bunny brought. They got Mr. Potato Heads. They've never seen him before. Then we had the missionaries over for a HUGE breakfast. Then church of coarse, then off to Bealeton, VA to see our friends for dinner. There are tons of kids there so Syd and Andy love when we go so that they have people to play with.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

The sun was out today, so we got to play outside...the weather is getting great! Cherry blossoms are starting to come out, and soon we can return to our daily walks to the park without having to wear gallons of clothes. The girls are FINALLY starting to play with eachother. Syd and Andy love Ring-Around-the-Rosies. They both sing and laugh the whole way through. They usually make me play with them, but someone had to take the pictures :)

Out for a Drive

Yesterday the power was out for several hours so we took a drive to see parts of northern Virginia that we haven't seen before. The girls were as good as can be expected, but we had fun. On this drive, we stopped for a wild turkey to cross the road, and saw a hawk take away a squirrel...pretty crazy.

So Sorry

As some of you know...we are expecting our third baby in August. This is my excuse for not keeping up on the blog. I've basically been asleep for the past three months. However, I'm feeling better now, so I will get in as much as I can!
