Remember this?
The Previa.
Friends of ours gave it to us when I was pregnant with Julie. Seriously, GAVE it to us. It was no gem, but it was a huge blessing to us. It made several trips to Utah and Idaho, then back to California. Lots and lots of memories are associated with that van.
For instance, shortly after we got it, the sticky sliding door fell off at the YMCA. Car doors are quite a bit heavier than they look, by the way :) Thank goodness, it only fell off from the top so I wedged it back in and drove slowly to get it fixed.
We also got stuck more than once in Island Park in the winter, and had to get towed out. That is always fun. The A/C worked on low or full blast...nothing in between. You get the idea.
Anyway, after we had been in Utah for a few months, the car stopped turning on. So we decided to get a new van.
The end of October, we got a newer van...a 2007! Woo-hoo! It is awesome. I love driving that thing. The handyman for our house here was interested in the Previa, so I said he could have it. He wouldn't take it for free, so he gave us a $100 and tried to drive it away.
Yes, I wrote
tried. Remember how it wouldn't start? Well, he hooked his truck up to the van and towed it away. It is funny how much I had been hating that van, and yet here I was, taking pictures and watching till it disappeared out of my sight.
Like I said, there were a lot of memories in that car.
But my new one has seat warmers.
Seat warmers. So my toasty bum and I will have to just get over losing the Previa. It could be tough. ;)
