40 Weeks has come and gone!

Here I am at 40 weeks. My due date was yesterday, even though I have never been on time. I tried to prepare myself to be late, but it is still disappointing to see the date on the calendar come and go. I am feeling well. We are all just excited to meet this little girl. I am anxious to be done with labor and move onto the next phase of our family life. Everyone is placing bets on when she will make her arrival. All I pray for is a quick, safe, and healthy delivery and recovery. I will be sure to post pictures when she is here.

We are still here!

Yes, we are still alive. It seems since facebook came into my life, I don't have time for my blog anymore. Most of our updates and news go straight to facebook instead of the blog. I am not promising to do much better, but I wanted to post for our family that may not be on facebook.

Yes, it is old news for most, but we are adding a new addition to our family of 7. I am almost to the end! I am due the very end of August, so just 6 more weeks to go. It is a little girl and we could not be more excited, especially Emma and Taylor. They can't wait to play dress-up with her. She is the caboose to our family, we can't wait to see her.

The kids are all doing great. Taylor will be 15 in 1 week and will be a sophmore in high school. Dallin is now 13 and will be in 8th grade. Sassy Emma is 10, going into 5th grade. Ashton is 7, in 2nd grade. And Brayden is 4 1/2 doing one more year of preschool. Aaron is still plugging away as a chiropractor, helping me get ready for this baby. I take care of the family! We are so excited for the next little bit of our lives and how our family will change. I will keep everyone posted when our little sweet bundle arrives!

The Farm

The kids have been off from school for their 2 week fall break and we haven't done anything. I know, I'm a boring mom. I've been told that many times the last 10 days. So today a friend was going to the "Farm" as we call it, and she invited us to go along. We went there about 3 years ago. The day we went, I think it hit a record high of about 95 degrees the end of September. We had no idea what to expect last time so it ended up being pretty miserable because we were very unprepared. This time was a totally different story. I would say we all loved it. It was a very comfortable 75 degrees, we came prepared with lots of water and all the kids were excited. You ride a wagon out to the fields and pick your own produce. This year they said you can get 6 bags of each item for each person!! That would have been 36 bags of each food for my family. Needless to say we did not take that much, but as you can see in our picture, it filled the entire back of my Suburban and the middle floorboard.

The kids jumped on a huge inflated pillow!

Ashton and Brayden on the wagon with their corn!

Our produce Loot! Sweet corn, potatoes, beets, onions, cabbage, carrots, green beans, indian corn, popcorn, pumpkins, and eggplant.

Scary Brayden

Ashton in the petting zoo with a cute little goat!

About half way through the fields, Brayden started whining he was hungry and he wouldn't stop crying, I forgot the treats in the car. Our next stop was the cabbage, so I picked a huge head of cabbage, peeled back the bad leaves and gave him a big leaf to eat. He called it lettuce. He ate it all and asked for another leaf. Next stop was carrots, which we washed and he also ate a few. Then came the sweet corn. The kids were eating it raw, fresh picked. I think he had 3 ears of sweet corn. He was so happy and content the rest of the time! We now have lots of work to do. Canning and freezing our food.
It was so much fun to do! Maybe next year I can get Aaron to go, he has yet to come with us because we always go when he's working.
