November Pt. 2

Here's some random parts of our November... just to get us caught up to the current month (at least for a few more days :)).

Ezra chillin with his auntie Katie :)

First pic of the three cousins together :)

I love hoodies...

Avery insisted on putting EVERY blanket on the couch and snuggling with Ezra.  She said he wanted to watch a show with her. :)

This may be one of my most favorite Avery videos... she wanted to learn how to flare her nostrils... ha.

Avery (yes, playing in her costume that she refused to wear on Halloween) wanted to share Ezra's blanket.

My daughter is silly...

Every now and then, Avery will ask me to put her hair in pigtails.  So cute.  Sometimes she leaves them that way for a while, but most of the time she takes them out after about 10 minutes.

Ezra ready for the game - sporting his Packer pants and awesome hat knit by my friend Nikia :)

Ezra wanted to sit by his cousin Jericho... or that's the only way my sis had room to hold him ;)

Thanksgiving was when Joe's Grandma Jessie got to meet Ezra :)

I love snuggling with these two in my bed.  Avery would hold Ezra's hand just about all day if she could.

Mr. Ezra will nap anywhere, anyhow at Grandma Bubba's house!

Yay for November!

Malachi's 3rd Birthday

My wonderful nephew turned 3 in November.  It's cliche, I know, but time sure does fly... I feel like just the other day I was holding him as a newborn... and yet I find it hard to remember life without him.  When I met Malachi James my heart exploded with love.  I felt a love for him that I had never experienced before.  I was pregnant at the time, and I realized this was a glimpse of what I would experience with my own baby.  I still have a connection with Malachi that I can't describe.  He's always been "my boy" since I had Avery.  Now that I have a boy, Malachi is my "first" boy. :) He brings me such joy.  I love watching him grow up.

Malachi had his party at a place with a bunch of huge blow-up toys to play on.  It was awesome.  The kids LOVED it!  It worked out nicely because my sister was 8 months pregnant, very uncomfortable, and didn't need to stress about a party at her house!

Since I had just had a baby 4 weeks ago, I wasn't allowed to jump around or do the obstacle course... boo.  So I took pictures (and handed off my camera to get pics of kids inside the bouncers :)).

Here's Malachi's party in pics...

Grandma Susie :)

I love how Kamdyn's leg is propped up on the belly :)

Ezra partied hard :)

Lovely mamas

The only pic I could get of Malachi playing - he's too fast!!

My mom and Jacklyn raced through the obstacle course!

Jacklyn won...

Avery took a while to warm up to the idea of the big bouncers...
but once she did, there was no getting her out!

Uncle Adam!!

The party attenders :)

Pretty genius to put cookies and grapes in cups.  Kids love to eat from cups.

Malachi showing his muscles :)

Sam and Isaiah :)

Malachi got to sit on a throne to open gifts :)

Malachi James, you are such a joy to me.  I'm so glad you're my nephew!  I love how you are ALL rough-and-tumble boy, but you also have the sweetest spirit.  You are so smart - you remember EVERYTHING.  Your laugh is contagious - you are such a happy boy.  I love how you run to me and give me the biggest hugs.  I enjoy our conversations about cars, the cabin, family, toys, food (always pb&j or mac&cheese :)), and sports.  I love watching you grow.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for you in the future!

Happy Birthday, Malachi James :)

November Pt. 1

Some randomness from November for ya...

First, a few cute bath pics (both my kiddos love bath time :))...

Avery wanted to help me take pictures :)

We had a couple of really beautiful days in November, so we were outside as much as we could be!

I was pretty excited about the weather, and SO thankful that my recovery was going well.  I could hardly believe I felt like walking to the park (with 2 kids and a dog) just a month after having Ezra! :)

My sister is a hairdresser and usually cuts Avery's hair at home, but Avery came with me to the salon for my appointment and was SO excited that she got to sit in the big chair and have her hair cut. :)

Just a couple of my baby boy...

He loves his sling (and it's my lifesaver :))

At his one month appointment - 10lbs 3oz and 21" long :)

Our Halloween...

... didn't quite go as planned.

We bought Avery's costume a couple of weeks before Halloween (I had hopes of making it, but with a newborn I had to be realistic).  She LOVED it and wore it every. single. day.

When Halloween actually came, Avery was sick with the croup.  It was awful.  We were all sleep-deprived and she was miserable.  It was the first time she's been really sick, and it was hard on my heart. :( The cold night air was supposed to be good for her, so we told her she could still trick-or-treat... and she was SO excited.

Until we got to trunk-or-treat at my family's church.  She refused to put on her costume and had a major meltdown...

We ended up at Bubba & Gpa's house... where she played happily (yet still refused to wear her costume).

So these pictures are actually from the week before Halloween - one of our neighbors had a mini-festival and Avery insisted on wearing her costume.  She wanted to be Tinkerbell, since Malachi was going to be Peter Pan... but I couldn't find a Tinkerbell costume in her size, so she's a pink Tinkerbell.  She told everyone that she was a "fairy princess". :)

Thank goodness I took those, because I didn't get any of her on Halloween.  Oh well.  I did take a few that night - one of Malachi, I mean Peter Pan... and my sweet little candy corn (can you tell it's Ezra?). :)

I was a bit annoyed that I didn't get "real" pictures for Halloween, but I let it go.  Well, kind of.

I decided to have a little photo session with Ezra in his costume when I had a spare minute... which didn't happen for a while.  So here are some of my sweet candy corn (at 2 months old rather than at 2 weeks old when Halloween was - ha ha).

Talking about it :)

Hi Mom!

Asher wanted in on the shoot :)

"This is my crazy arm wave"

My sweet boy.

And we're done.

Happy (very late) Halloween! :)
