Hey every one nothing much happening here except it is still raining alot.We have had rain here for about week and I am getting kinda of tired of the gloomy days.Enough about the forecast Skyler my grandson who trys to help me with all this computer stuff,has to take a final today his last one then his big graduation is Saturday.He will then have his associates degree and maybe he will finally have some time to help me post my picturesof some of my new make over .I know you guys are probably getting very bored about just hearing all this stuff about the redo and posting pics for that I am very sorry.I am hoping Sky can teach this old dog some new tricks when it comes to learning about what all computers can do.I see all the neat stuff all of you do with your blog and I say ooohhh I want mine to look just half that good.So I try but I am always afraid that if I do something I am not sure how to do I will miss this silly computer up bad!!So here I set waiting for Sky to help me.If any of you can give me step by step directions on how to get some of those cute buttons on your blogs that I see and they always say to take one.Well I want to get them but just don't know what to do.So any advice would be so much appreciated.Maybe I should sign up the next time they offer computer classes for seniors.Probably not a bad idea huh.Have a great day every one!!

Hey everyone I have not posted for such along time.But the truth is I am in the middle of changing my whole decor.I am now changing to the sweet cottage look.Quite a change from prim to the cottage.I have just about got the kitchen done.I have taken a few pics but since I don't know how to post them I again have to wait for one of my kids to do it for me.I seriously want to learn how to post pics myself because I do not like waiting for someone.I have been folkart and prim for quite some time so this is a big over haul for me.I have been hitting garage sales and the second hand shops and have found some great things.The only bad thing about this change is I just painted my dining room in Feb. kind of a dark beige now I want it a butter cream color but I do not know just how soon that will happen.I have my summer swap ready to take to the post office tomorrow.I am also trying to change my yard decor too so it will go with the rest of the house.So I will try to get the pics on as soon as possible and I still like the prim look but I for some reason am liking the cottage fifties look better. Hope every one is having a great day it is cloudy and raining here it is suppose to rain till Thursday looks like I will be working on the inside for now.

Hi everyone sorry I haven't been on here for the last few days I have been painting my dining room.I started it Saturday late afternoon and got finished Monday.I love it.I painted the top of the walls cobblestone which is a tan and the wainscoting which is on the bottom of the walls I painted a shade of white called linen slipcover and all the trim is painted flatland which is a darker shade of tan.It has made such a change in this room.I will be posting pics probably later tonight or tomorrow.Today I will be tweaking and doing some painting of small things such as shelves and things.Last night I decided to fix something I had never made before for supper.A friend of mine gave me the recipe for Italian beef.It was really easy and oh so good.Get a good size roast season it with the pack of zesty italian dressing the dry au juice and 3 cups of water put all this into the crock pot and cook most of the day.When roast is tender and done take out cool and shred put back into crock with the juice and let simmer for just awhile.Serve on hoagy buns with some italian cheese and a cup of au juice to dip in.I also served with mine a pasta salad baked beans and chips.Skyler's girlfriend made oreo brownies for desert they too were also very good.She just smashed up about a half of pack of oreos mixed half into the brownie mix and baked then frosted them with a creamy vanillia frosting and sprinkled the rest of the oreos on top then served with a scoop of ice cream very gooood.Well that is all for today I have to get busy and get this dining room put back together.

Well I hope everyone has a very special Valentines Day tomorrow.I went out to super with my aunt and uncle tonight and had a good time.They came back here for desert I had made a texas cake last night I had not made one of them in years and it turned out pretty good.I'll have pics posted as soon as Skyler can post them of the cake and a few other things.One of these days I am going to have to learn how to do my own pictures for here.He takes forever some times when I ask him to do something but I know he is busy with school and the newspaper.I am so excited for Dan and Jeff in case you didn't hear they got the Country Sampler Home Tour edition with their house in it just in time for Valentines Day I think that is so neat I can't wait to get mine now.Everybody have a great day tomorrow remember to be extra sweet!!!

Nothing much going on today except I will be doing more painting of things for my dining room.Learned some tips from Char after reading her post on her little wood box.I think she is so talented and how lucky we are that she shares it with us.Yesterday while driving my grand daughter "Gabby"I just love her to pieces,I dove by this house that is empty and there was a dumpster on the drive full of stuff some call it junk I don't but anyway on top was this wing back chair I hit the brakes oh yeah this is after Gabby was dropped off of coarse and jumped out it looked as though it was in pretty good condition.So I climb onto the dumpster and slowly edged it down trying not to let it fall.I did it loaded it into my van and it now sits in my garage waiting for the great make over but that won't be until after my upholstery class this summer.I also saw this cute little wood chair with a woven seat the other day at the local junk store downtown thought it was cute in pretty good condition but did not enquire about it.Now this morning I can't get that chair out of my mind so I will be making a phone call there to see if he still has it if so I will be making a trip down town.I have this thing about chairs tables you know things you really have no more room for but you just have to have them.My house is pretty full and the garages is getting there and just think garages sales are hopefully just around the corner I'll have to rent a storage bin lol.That is all for now got to get to painting everyone have a great day.

I haven't been on for a day or two because my computer is acting up.I think I will be shopping for a new one because now that I am a addict to APP. I can't stand to be without this goofy thing.We also got some snow Monday night and Tuesday.Now it is cold and windy come on spring.Not much going on except I will be painting a chair and wood bench for my dining room I think I have my colors picked out for the walls and trim for in there.It is a light gray for the top of the walls a off white for the beadboard on the bottom and a darker gray for trim then all the furniture will be black and of coarse the blue for the eyecandy.My valances are blue and beige checked.I'll take pics as I am going along.I found the top to a old cupboard and a local junk store got it for $30. it has glass in the doors and 2 shelves in it with 2 drawers below the doors that is where all my pfaltzgraff folkart that I have just started to collect is going in can't wait to get it all done. Well I have decided to paint my dining room.I'm going with a SHADE OF GRAY ON THE TOP OF THE WALLS AND A WHITE ON THE BOTTOM THE TRIM WILL BE A DARKER SHADE OF GRAY.i JUST PURCHASED A TOP TO A CUPBOARD WITH GLASS DOORS.I have a bottom to go with it already.I started to collect Pfaltzgraff Folk art after hearing alot of you talk about your collection of it.I had not heard of it or did not pay much attention until now.So today I went to the GW and found 3 pieces of it 1 plate and 2 saucers.Got on ebay and bid on 3 flat cups so I hope my bid wins out.I am going to do some painting of a couple pieces of furniture in black for in there.One is a bench for my dining room table the other is a old chair to sit by the window in there.Now I will start looking for the blue woven coverlets and table runner.So my dining room will soon be gray white navy with black furniture. I have navy blue and white checked valances already so I guess I am part way there lol.Anyway I am going to look at paint tomorrow if I find what I like I will start soon.I will also be changing furniture around too that is always fun I should start now rearranging to make sure everything will fit how I want.So bye for now .Oh if you read this there are more pics on down my blog of valentines stuff and my doll I made take a look.

I finally got all my pics that I wanted on blog so far posted.For some reason this week has not started out very well and as it goes on it isn't getting any better.There have been some issues come up that were none of my doing but I have to try and fix them very stressful.So with all this stress going on it has put me right out of the crafting mood.I was too have all my valentine things down to the shop by yesterday and it did not happen.Oh well maybe at a later date I will try my luck at selling my crafts.I thought about having a sale in the spring at my own house kind of like a garage/craft sale and see how I do.Hopefully I will get back in the mood to make and paint things again.Anyway enough of my whining hope everyone enjoys my pics and have a great weekend I am going to try lol.

Hey everyone I guess I have gotten alittle behind on my blog sorry.I have my doll all done except I had to order those round tags with the metal rim around them so that is all she needs around her neck with her name on it The Peddlers Wife.Hoping tonight to have pics of her and some other things i have been working on. A local flower and craft shop has ask me to bring in some of my things to sell.I have never done that before I always just made things for myself and friends and family so it is kind of making me a little nervous I don' know if others will care for my things guessI will see huh.So hopefully tonight I will have pics of the things I have made so far.Last night I rode with my grandson he had to go to a rural town for pictures of a basket ball game and the roads on the way there were awful we had snow and high winds even though it was only about a inch or so of snow the blowing made it bad for travel.What usually takes about 45 minutes to get there took us hour and 45 minutes I was so glad to get home.Well enough for now it is time to get the morning dishes done and get my grand daughter Gabby ready for pre school then after that I will come home and work on crafts .Talk at you later.

Well today I am about to finish my "peddlers wife" doll I am tea staining or should I say coffee staining her apron right now and when it is done all I have to do is add all the goodies to her.When finished probably tomorrow I will put a pic of her on here.I get the house to myself tonight my grandson Skyler is working and the rest of my grandchildern went home so it is time for a cup of tea and quietness. I don't know if I mentioned that I babysit my youngest grandbaby Gabby who is 5 she is in preschool. So Monday thru Friday things get pretty hectic around here.Then on Tuesday and Wednesday night she has dance also that I take her to.So when I get a early night home alone I take time to enjoy alittle me time.Thats all for now I think I am going to start some valentine crafts while I wait on the apron to finish.

Well I am getting ready to out to eat for my birthday and then on to the play about the Beatles can't wait.I just about have my doll done just have to add all the little details that's always the most fun in crafting.Now I have to figure out where to put her I have some ideas but it means I'll have to move something else that always the case though. Well we are leaving now so talk later.

Well I finally got all the Christmas decor down and put away and now I am working on a primitive doll I saw last summer in a shop . She was called the peddler lady so I wrote down some things about her and now I am making one. She stands about 2 foot tall and has all kinds of goodies in her pockets and hanging from her belt that she sales I'll post pics when she is done.My next project will be making some valentine decor I have lots but most of it is not really old and prim looking so I will fix that hopefully. Tomorrows my birthday and in my younger days much younger days I was a huge Beatles fan so for Christmas my aunt got me tickets to Rain the Broadway show of the Beatles. I can't wait to see it it has gotten great reviews. We are going tomorrow night.
