cutest blog on the block

Ok, I have to say that changing my blog has become such an issue today.
I think I changed it like (no joke) 10 times before deciding.
I wanted something that screamed SPRING...cuz I noticed today while
driving my drive that there are popcorn trees everywhere, starting to
bloom...and i'm so excited. I love spring, except for the allergies that
come with it.
But I also love the colors orange and yellow, they make me so happy.
So I finally decided that this is what I'll stick with for a while, even though
there's no red or pink for valentines day coming up...
So, I promise I'll fix the header this afternoon.
Happy soon to be SPRING...in so cal, anyway.

My cub scout...the super hero

Dusty and 2 of his friends joined a cub scout
troop, which you can do when you're in First Grade.
did any of you know that. I thought you had to be
8. This is his first time wearing his uniform. Getting
ready for his 2nd pack meeting.
I love how he posed. Is He MR. CUB SCOUT, the
super hero, or what?

here he is, in the same pose, after just recieving
his first award...his Bobcat. Good job Dust...

Inspired

I was chatting with my GREAT and wise friend, Jenn this morning and, as always, she inspired me. She's always talking of ways to be a better mom, and wife...and this morning she was just doing the things we usually do as moms and wifes...making a grocery list, cleaning up around the house, planning dinners, and I decided I'd step up my game, too.
The stuff I usually do sometimes seems to get old, and then I get a little lazy...so, today with renewed spirit, I am renewing my committment. (Sounds lame and so official, I know. )

So for dinner, we are NOT going out, on a night that would be so much easier to do drive thru. we are sitting down as a family and having...Baked Chicken Tenders with Gravy and Baked Potatoes with Cheese and Sr. Cream and vegetables....Voila!

So, to all you moms/wives out there who fall down into Lazy Town like me...get back up on your horse...and make a dinner you're excited about.
happy Thursday!

sweet escape and paradise YESTERDAY

On this Minimum day we headed over for
a few hours of Disney time. Boy did we have
fun.

my boys absolutley LOVE the train. It's all we
did in Disneyland...we took it all the way through
the park then headed over to CA Adventure.

Here's my girl and I. (LOVE you BRYNNE)

my kids at the base of the Main St. Train Station.

Toby was in his stroller, and yelled to me,
"Hug, Mom." He wanted to hug Dale.
(funny that my 2 yr old loves the characters, and my
6 yr old boy hides.)

while on the Zephur, (3 times) we watched the
workers down below working on the next new
project at CA Adventure. Pretty fun to watch.
and saw a black and white cat sleeping on the
rocks below.

we had fun in bugs land, while Toby slept in the
stroller then headed over to Monsters, Inc, which
was walk on, like all the other rides were for the
day.
After Monsters, we walked down the little
avenue and noticed this amazing MOSAIC wall.
3 of them actually. we got some pretty cool pics,
but this one is my favorite of a big Bro and Sis showing
a lil bro a train, and other cool finds.
(I love MOSAIC stuff, so this is right up my alley)
And one final pic, even at Disneyland,
they find a way to entertain you on the
way to your car, (or tram, should I say?)
Dusty and Toby could barely look at me
long enough to take a picture, as you can
clearly see.
We had a fun long day...and ended it
with yummy warm dinner in the crockpot.
Amazing that you can spend 5 hours at
an amusement park and make dinner at
the same time....isn't life amazing?

couch. ugh. thanks to Mr. Cleans
Magic eraser, a lot of it came out. along
with a lot of dirt. Who knew my couches
were so dirty....yuck.

Where else, but in So Cal...?

Can you think about...

actually jump in...

and be happy about...

swimming in December.
This was December 30th in the late
afternoon...and my kids wanted so badly
to go check out the new pool. So, we did.
I got in the jacuzzi...I'm not as crazy as
my kids. the pool was COLD.

Dusty opening up one of his presents.
I bought this in July right after his birthday,
he didn't get it for his birthday, and was so sad.
How mean that I made him wait 5 months for it?

Brynne sitting on her new handmade Hannah
Montana blanket...good thing I sewed this in August...
never thought we'd be moving the week before
Christmas0.

Toby playing with his gift from Santa. A Race Track.
you can also see all the other stuff, including my cute
red crockpot. Yay!
