Christmas is about presents...
my nine year old daughter said today, on the drive from the old home to the new home.
What? I responded.
let me back track...
Dusty, "Mom, we didn't buy you and dad anything for Christmas. "
Mom, "That's okay, Dusty. Dad and I don't need anything. it's not about presents."
Brynne, "Mom, Christmas is about Presents, though..."
"What?", I responded.
"Brynne and Dusty, Christmas is not about presents. It's about love, and sharing love and remembering Jesus."
Brynne, "Oh, yah. right." in a sweet tone. not sassy, like it seems.
This Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas. I have all gifts bought, except 2 small ones,
for relatives, but they are all at a friends' house, so that my kids wouldn't accidently see
them, or they get dropped and broken, or worse....LOST.
so I entrusted my great friend, Catherine, to hold them for me.
Now, I just gotta go get them, so I can wrap them tonight.
wish me luck, and merry christmas.

We're MOVING
It's fast and furious. and totally crazy
to even contemplate moving before
Christmas. But, we're doing it.
Boxes are the proof. (I don't know
what's up with the tongue out.)
Toby is having fun with all the obstacle
courses in his way...everytime I walk out
of a room, he says,
"wait for me, MOMMMM."
Needless to say, there is a lot of confusion
here.
We're just moving down the way a little.
To Mira Loma.
Wish us luck. Happy Holidays, and Merry
Christmas...a little early, since I don't know
if I'll be posting much.
love to you all

Yay! We made it!
our first few rides in Disneyland this year...
2nd day at Dinseyland and Calif Adventure!
3rd Disney Day
A ride on the horse drawn trolley.
waiting for the train at Main Street.
The lights on Small World. The kids were
in awe. But Tobes wouldn't turn around, since
the train was going by.
Kids watching the fireworks at the very
end of the day.
Oh, sweet DLand, how we love you.
but we really missed Tinkerbell.

So much fun, Decking our Halls!
Deck the halls with Santas so Jolly,
Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-Laaaa
cuz we don't have any Holly,
Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-Laaaa.
Don' our windows with Paper snowflakes
Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-Laaaa
When we're done we'll laugh, smile and have cake.
Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-Laaaaaaaa!
the kids had so much fun decorating for Christmas this year.
It took all my strength and love, to get them to
SLOW down, and wait for us.
Toby is in love with everything that makes music.
Especially the broken train, we actually had to hide
it. He gets mad, cuz it won't keep going, and has
screaming fits over it.
This is the first year where his eyes are really open
to CHRISTMAS. we can't wait to watch him open
presents.
Hope your Holidays are happy.
