GIRLS night out

Cari, Julie and Jenn on a girls night out.
Julie moves in just a few days, so we decided
to go out and celebrate our friendships...
First we went to CVS and did a little
coupon shopping...got sweet deals! Then
ran through El Pollo Loco for a quick bite,
then to see Twilight, then to Olive Garden
for a HUGE dinner. Thx Julie!

and how many there are....woo hoo.
We are gonna miss Julie more than she will
know. She has become one of my greatest
friends, and I have to go mushy for a minute.
She has truly been a great friend to me, as
I go through some changes in my life. She has
been extremely supportive and a listening ear,
when others would be judging, she kept her
mouth closed and just listened. and I really
appreciate that. I'm gonna miss our shopping
trips, and I'm gonna miss those moments, when
I see something on sale...cheap, and I don't have
the coupon cut yet, but she does.
I can't tell you how much money this girl has
saved me over the last 8 months. We started
our coupon journey together, and it's been a great
outlet for us. I know Jenn feels the same...
I love you Julie, and I'm gonna miss you to the moon!
You'll never know the impact you've had on my
life, and to think you're 10 years younger...who would
have known.
I feel blessed to have been your buddy, and know
that that won't change just cuz we're not hangin together.
Know that I cherish our friendship. Love ya, DOG!

we had so much fun. I don't remember laughing
this much in a long time. we got the giggles at
dinner, and couldn't stop. Tears and all!

So Cal Firestorm 10-15-08

This is from my front door, facing the fire in
Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills just after dusk.
The air was so thick, and awful, and dry.

another shot, I know, it's basically the same, but all
the other pics had cars and houses in them.
So thankful we were safe. My boss lost his wonderful
home of 7ish years. It truly is devasting to even think
about. I feel for him deeply, and have no words.
They lost everything except some pics and important
documents...and have to rebuild all over again.
I'm so glad he and his family were safe. It could have been
so much worse. It's amazing to me that the only injuries
were firefighters, and that everyone was spared.

Big Kisses

Dusty and Toby were cuddling on my bed after
school yesterday, watching TV, and Brynne
came to me looking for the camera. She said,
"The boys look so cute, can I take some pictures of
them?" Of course, was my reply.
The last one is a little blurry, but you get the picture1
haha.

Thank you to all the VETS, past and present.

The kids found a soft spot to land
on the couch. Everyone watching
Bednobs and Broomsticks, while
trying to decide where to go today
on our day off.
Just had a pancake/bacon/sausage
breakfast...too full to go anywhere just
yet.

I should mention...that I did not win this battle.
Brynne took some pictures that had to be deleted.
Come on...really? She took pictures of me bending
over and picures looking up my nose...but since I'm the
POSTER, and the picture deleter, I won!

I'm STUCK

I cut these ribbons in 6 different colors,
for an at home job(?) and Toby loves to
play in the ribbon. I hang it from the
corner of a chair until i have enough to
bag up, this time, he got STUCK.
He was so embarassed, he wouldn't look
at the camera.
