Hello shabby friends and welcome to another fun
week of inspiration and creativity here in the Tea
Room! This week I am our creative host and I have chosen
the theme of 'Shabby Autumn' along with this beautiful photo for inspiration and I ask that you create a card or project inspired by the COLORS FROM THE PICTURE, INCLUDE A PUMPKIN and MAKE IT SHABBY!
'Shabby Chic Style Elements'
Layers of softness characterized by the use of ribbon and lace, a
time-worn look achieved by inking, pearls, glitter and other such
embellishments.

I am pleased to introduce you all to this week's Guest Designer,
Lauren Bergold - All The Good Blog Names Were Taken!
Lauren earned this Guest Designer spot for her win in the Tea Room during the Week #127 challenge - 'For The Love of Books'.
And, on a personal note, Lauren's card this week has got to be the 'most special' card we've ever spotlighted here in the Tea Room! Among all of the talented people that grace our blog pages here daily, you may be wondering why I said that. Well, Lauren lives in New Jersey, which, as most of you all know, was ground zero for the land falling Hurricane Sandy which came ashore last week and caused such total devastation along the Jersey Shore and the New England Seaboard. Lauren's home was spared from any of the horrific damage that we've all been seeing on TV, but she has been without power for six+ days as of when this post goes live, so it's truly incredible that she was still able to make a card to participate as our guest this week! Lauren shared with me the heroic efforts she went through to take her crafty supplies to her mom's house - about 30 minutes away - who still has power. There she was able to complete her card, photograph it and blog about it. Now ... if that is not a 'die hard' crafter, I don't know what is! THANK YOU, Lauren, for sharing your passion and creativity with us all this week in the Tea Room! I hope you all pop on over to Lauren's blog and leave her a little bit of love ... I am sure it will brighten her dark, and electric-less day :) I'm praying that the powers to be can restore your electricity soon, Lauren, so you can begin to make strides to get things back to normal!!
