Why hello hello.
Good news! I'm finally connected to the world again. Set up my internet connection yesterday and haven't left the com since. Except to sleep. One has to sleep sometime, and for the first time in days I actually had some reasonably good sleep.
My roomate has moved in, she's lovely and pleasant and I'm sure we'll get along just fine. Uni orientation is on the 21st, so lectures haven't actually begun yet for those who are confused. I'm doing a straight commerce course (yes yes, the one EVERYBODY does) and specializing in Accounting & Finance. UK applications are still stuck in a processing rut, but UniMelb has offered me a merit scholarship so UK can go ahead and party without me.
I'm currently listening to a lot of Simon and Garfunkel and Damien Rice, finishing Island by Aldous Huxley and planning to start Wodehouse, and admiring the cactus that Rach gave me as a sort-of housewarming present. It poked me recently. I think it's a cry for attention.
The weather's warm most times, and living so close to the city now I'm there a lot, making up for the holiday in Aus I missed after my IB finals because of uni applications and interviews.
