Can you guess who I am?
Corbin was originally going to be a sports announcer, but when he looked in the mirror he saw Michael Scott. We peeled off the ESPN sticker, printed out a Dunder Mifflin one, personalized a mug (aka candy receptacle) and he was good to go. I thought another potential look could have been Mitt Romney.

What a great big brother!
Carter took his 3 younger brothers out trick-or -treating (without a costume or bag of his own). Luckily, someone that was giving out king size bars offered one to Carter. He was even willing to give it to Chloe when he got home. What a guy.

Another Top Gun in the family
Caleb's costume arrived in the mail & he wants to wear it every day. His cousin James has one and sent some pictures of himself in it, so we knew where to put the patches. Caleb wanted to pose for some pictures in his, too. How does he look Major Hawkes?

Rub a Dub Dub
I found the picture of the 4 oldest Hawkes' kids while I was searching for some other pictures. I thought it was funny and tried to re-create it with my own kids. For some reason, the only two willing to do it were Caleb & Chloe. I think it is fun to see how much my sibling's kids look like them.

Pretty in Pink
Thanks to Aunt Karin, & Aunt Laura Hill for my pretty hair flowers. Thanks to Aunt Laura Armstong for my pretty new pink and blue outfit. I'm my mommy's new little dress up doll. She better enjoy it while she can, because it won't be too long before I have opinions of my own about what I wear!

Larry's tag (and I'm so excited about it).
1. I have a hard time telling things about myself.
2. I don't understand "Blog." I guess the term "Journal" is just too Old School. But then again, isn't Old School kind of hip? This sort of confusion seems to be quite common in my life. I put blogging right up there with text messaging - I don't understand either one.
3. Although I don't consider myself a redneck, I have many redneck tendencies - dirt bikes, construction, guns, an incredible woman that stays with me even though I have redneck tendencies and yes, I own and wear a pair of wranglers. That being said, I think most rednecks probably don't consider themselves rednecks.
4. Another thing I don't understand is on-line gaming. Is that what this tag thing is? I loved tag as a kid but it seemed so simple then, it was rather easy to pick out the weakest link and try and tag that person - hey, is that what's going on here?
5. This is the point where 1. really comes into play. Perhaps I will just go and play with my kids. As often as possible, I try and brainwash them into not being selfish, confused, redneck, weak links like myself (except maybe a little redneck). I want them to dream big and shoot bigger in order to reach their full potential - I like that.
6. My body just isn't performing like it did a decade ago, but my mind tells me it can. I won't let this stop me from working hard & playing hard, but at the end of the day the aches and pains don't let me forget my age. Luckily, I am able to find solace in a bowl of ice-cream, or two .

Monday Night Football
The males in our family have taken a great interest in football lately. Every night they go outside to play catch, and they are gravitating to the tv more to watch football games. This new interest seems to be brought about by Carter's participation on the middle school team. Corbin brought a book home he wrote, titled, I am a V.I.P. this book is about ME!. The last page of the book reads: "I go to school so that someday I can be a B.Y.U. fooball player. I want to be number 75." If you look at our older posts, you can see what number his older brother happens to be.

Tagged
My sister Lisa "tagged"me. Here are the rules of being "tagged":
a. Each player must list 6 facts/habits about themselves.
b. At the end of the post the player then tags 6 people and posts their names then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged & asks them to read your blog for these rules.
About me:
1. I love to design. I enjoy designing a multitude of things, but especially homes. I enjoy the planning, architectural details and the decorating. it is especially fulfilling seeing the ideas implemented and the finished product come together.
2. I love being a mom. I have a brand new little one, and I am reminded how fun and exhausting new babies are. It has been neat for me to see the differences in raising kids 1 month, 4 years, 7 years, 10 years and 12 years. I am trying to appreciate each moment with all of them because time flies too quickly.
3. I love cinnamon bears. I eat them every day. When I was in Utah over conference weekend I couldn't find any convenience stores with them. I am grateful they haven't become extinct in Idaho.
4. I love PBS. It is my favorite channel. I like to watch the Charlie Rose show--which drives Larry crazy, because he can't stand it. I also love Frontline, Nature and The Royals. The Ken Burn's War series has been interesting, too.
5. I am a talk radio junkie. I listen to Dennis Miller, Sean Hannity (sparingly), Glenn Beck, and Mark Levine in bits and pieces as I am driving kids around and running errands. This is a sign of getting old, because it would drive me NUTS to ride with my dad and have the radio always be on KSL. Now my kids complain to me about it.
6.I'm enjoying this blogging thing. Although I am the last one to jump on the bandwagon in my family, I think this is really fun. I love checking out everyone's blogs and look forward to the new posts.
I am taggimg Melinda, Karin, Nate, Haley, my Dad, & Bridger.

It has been getting cold, which means Caleb and I got to put Chloe in her little furry bear coat and warm pants. We thought she looked so cute and decided to take pictures of her and one another holding her. It's all I can do not to take a picture of her every day in her cute little outfits.
