C is a turkey

We have not taken very many pictures lately, but there are a few of the smallest one being super cute.  Here she tries on Dad's half-marathon age group award.  She found this completely hillarious and wore it around most of the day.

Last week we dressed her up for some 12 months pics.  Our favorite photographer is taking a break so we tried a new one.  C was a little apprehensive and Mom had to bribe her with Cheerios and keep wiping tears off her cheeks.  We'll have to see if we got any smiling pics.  We did manage to get this one before we left for the photo studio.

Halloween Preview

Trick-or-Treat in Archbold was postponed when the weather turned yucky.  We missed out on the official festivities because of a wedding, but we have managed to dress up more than once and knock on multiple neighbors doors and amass quite a pile of yummy halloween treats.

Here is the goof troop at their finest trying on the costumes.

Tessa actually went as a pink unicorn.  Here she is with some of her preschool class.

Our little giraffe.  This costume has been passed down through all 4 kids.

Sleeping beauty?

Snow White?

A abominable snowman?

Fun without Mom

Natalie and Oliver earned certificates for the local corn maze extravaganza through the reading program at school.  Dad loaded up the van one afternoon to take everyone for some afternoon fun while Mom was at work.

Aside from the corn maze there were plenty of fun things to do.  Everyone enjoyed a ride on the crazy train.

And Mom missed out on a game of putt-putt.

And of course there was face painting.

Kitty wiskers and a pink nose.

Three goofy kids.

Cecelia

Since we haven't posted in awhile here is a post about our most rapidly-growing little person.

C has developed quite an inquisitive mind.  She is very adventurous when it comes to exploring new spaces lately.  One of her favorite hang outs is her toy box.  Another hide out is behind the chair in the living room.  She giggles when you "discover" her hiding back there.

This sweatshirt has definately made the rounds, but it still looks super cute.

This must have been one tired baby.   She crawled here after her bath after dropping everyone else and school and fell asleep with no prompting.

Another new hang out.

She's definately proud of this one.

We had a preview of the halloween costumes one night.  This one didn't quite make it for trick-or-treat, but it is Mom's favorite this year.

She is getting to be such a big girl.  We have moved up to whole milk, except for bedtime and first thing in the morning.  She is also eating just about anything we put in front of her.  She really enjoyed this pizza casserole.

We sometimes forget how little she really is.  This is a 12 mos. snow suit.  Fortunately it should fit for the duration of winter this year.

Again, very adventurous lately.  Tonight she even climbed up onto a chair in the dining room and stood up.  She was trying to get a knee up on the table.  She does this type of thing next to the bath tub also.  She can get a foot on top of the side of the tub.

Mom and Dad went for a run after dropping everyone off last week.  It must have been a good one.  She didn't even wake up when we got her out of the stroller and took off her coat.

C also is growing a fun little personality.  She will walk up to you and wiggle her fingers on you-generally your feet if available and handy- and say "tickle, tickle, tickle".  She also has been found "dusting" with discarded Kleenex and "washing" Tessa in the bath tub.

She now has 5 teeth and is practicing her independent walking skills daily.  She also does occasionally have an aversion to her bed which manifests itself in sudden ridgedness of the entire body and very loud wailing as soon as her body passes the plane of the crib rail even if she previously appeared sound asleep.

Goll Woods

It was a beautiful, sunny 70 degree day today so we loaded up the van after school for a hike in Goll Woods.  Natalie was reluctant to come along so we let her have the camera.  She got tired of it after awhile and Mom got a few shots too, but most of this post in Natalie.  Enjoy the budding photographers work.

Tuesday

Mom was off today and got to enjoy the morning with the little girls.  Here are a few random shots from the day.

The biggest cheese in the house right now showing off a new birthday outfit.  She is definately our smallest baby as she still fits very nicely into 6-9 mos. clothes.

Of course the second biggest cheese had to get in on the action.

Big blue eyes.

Dad spent a good portion of the day outside cleaning up the garden and yard.  Tessa went out while C took a nap.

The wedding

Uncle Tyler and Aunt Sara got married this weekend.  With four kids to corral picture taking was mostly at the back of our minds.  Here are a few out-takes we did acquire.

The rehearsal was on Friday night.  We tried to look presentable and keep quiet during this practice run.  Cecelia as usual had trouble sitting still in church.  We're working on it.

The wedding was on Saturday.  The weather held out and everyone arrived in one piece to do their part.  Afterward we went outside to blow bubbles and unwind from sitting still for an hour.  Tessa started the party early.

Dad got out the stroller while they were taking pictures to help keep C under wraps.  Little did he know how entertaining this would become.

We tried for a nice family picture, but this is what we wound up with.  Thanks for the effort Grandpa.

In between the wedding and reception we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's to help them clean up from breakfast.

Grandma Seibert altered this Natalie original circa 2005 to fit a slightly bigger, 6 months older C.

Flashback to the original.

What a handsome little man.  Everyone was exhausted by dinner and asking to head home by 7.  Not much dancing for this crew.

We posed with the happy couple and managed to at least get a good shot of them.  C must really haven been ready for bed.

Party Tessa hams it up.

Sunday morning at the lake we had to corral C so that we could all get showers and get things packed up.  She wasn't very happy with her situation.  Must be the drop side crib that scares her.

She tried our Cora's rocking chair while Tyler and Sara opened gifts.

And then the wagon.  Cora was giving her rides around the living room.
