Family History, I Am Doing It by Scraps N Pieces

Family History, I Am Doing It is a song that the kids in our church sing. It is about keeping records about our family, who is related to who and what important things they have done or just what they have done, whether it is important or not! :-)

Kindof like scrapbooking! Just keeping a record! Anyway, here is a preview of the kit.
And here is my page. I have some journaling to put on it, but I am putting Bonnie's words since this is really her page. :-)
The kit is on sale at Stuff to Scrap for $2.50 the first week and the cardstocks can be purchased for $1 using coupon code: SNPfamilyCardstock.

Takedown by Scraps N Pieces

I was super excited about this new kit that Scraps N Pieces has come out with. I needed something to scrap the few pictures I have of Kevin and Tye doing Judo so it works perfectly, since Judo is more a wrestling type martial art, as opposed to kicks and punches like in Karate and Tae Kwon Do.

Here is a preview of the entire kit.
And my layouts. Kevin had done Judo when he was in high school at the School of Judo in Brandon. Then when he was in the military he took it up again and really loved it until he got hurt. Then he never went back. I would say for probably close to 5 years now he has talked about going back and we have looked into it a couple of different times, but never did anything about it. So this summer we started looking into it again because he wanted to put Tye in it too. When I looked online for it, I realized that it was going to cost about $80 a month for just the two of them to do judo. However, it also mentioned on their website that they did it for free at the YMCA. So when I looked into a YMCA membership, it was going to be $80 a month for all three of us for the whole facility! It was a match made in heaven. So Kevin and Tye started going to Judo. Kevin got hurt the end of September so it has been rough since then and he really hasn't gone or taken Tye. But he is determined this time to not let an injury stop him. He will start back soon, at least after the first of the year at the very latest.

Anyway, here is Tye's first day of Judo. :-)
And here he is learning to fall. That is the first thing you learn in Judo so you don't get hurt. :-)
So head on over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up this kit for $2.50 the first week. There is a coordinating worn paper pack to go with it that you can get for FREE if you purchase it with the kit and use coupon code SNPfreeWP.

Country Christmas by Scraps N Pieces

It's Christmas Time!!!! I am so excited, it is my favorite time of year and more so now that I am an adult because I get to decide what fun things we do and since it is also my birthday month and my husband is great, I don't get the usual "This is for your birthday and Christmas" spiel that I got all the time when I was young. So it is even better now than when I was a kid! Plus I think it truly is more fun watching people open what you have so carefully picked out (or made) for them. :-)

Anyway, with that being said, Scraps N Pieces latest kit is all about Christmas. It has a vintage feel to it, more muted reds and greens as opposed to the usual bright red and greens you see around. Here is the preview of the kit. I used the kit to make my desktop for this month. The theme was giving and I decided that I was stretching it a bit, but here is Tye giving cookies to Santa! lol

The kit is on sale at Stuff to Scrap for $2.50 the first week and you can get the cardstock pack for just $1 using coupon code SNPcardstockCC.
