Introducing: Baby Clara

Clara Rebecca Rocque
Born: November 15, 2012 @ 7:31pm
Clara is a little angel. We are so glad she is finally here!

Checked into our delivery room--ready to have a baby today.

In labor, before I was in too much pain.

Still waiting...

Just after delivery

She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz.

All  18.5 inches stretched out

The kids' first time seeing baby sister after a long day of waiting.

Wide-eyed and bushy-tailed

Tiny precious feet.

Ready to go home. It appears she likes the car seat just about as much as her brother and sisters did.

Halloween

I promised I would put make-up on Adelyn for Halloween day. But as we pulled into her school to drop her off, she started worrying that she looked too "fancy" and she almost made me wash it off. As you can see, she looked beautiful. But she said the mascara made her eyes water all day long, poor girl.

I thought she made a darling Rapunzel...

With the perfect shoes. (I had to go to four stores and buy three pairs before I found the right ones.)

I got a picture of Adelyn's good friend Emma as Sleeping Beauty during the school costume parade.

And Lex dressed up as himself, an awesome scientist. :)

All ready to go trick-or-treating. Don't ask what Ryan is; we still aren't exactly sure.

One last picture with me and the kids this time. We had such a fun time trick-or-treating. Preston was definitely the most enthusiastic (no surprise there). We kept having to remind him to stay on the porch and not step inside people's houses. Annalise got tired first and Ryan took her home. I went out a little longer with Addie and Preston. Adelyn got cold and wanted to go home, but Preston could have lasted all night. There is nothing he won't do for more candy. It was a great Halloween!

Preston's Halloween Play

Preston's kindergarten class put on the cutest Halloween play ever. They sang lots of little songs and each had a speaking part. Preston's part was: "They had candy for lunch!" He loved saying that because he would like nothing better than eating only candy for lunch everyday.

Some of his classmates all dressed up.

Preston was one of the ghosts for the song "Ten Little Ghosts."

Pumpkin Pancakes

Starting last year, pumpkin-shaped pumpkin pancakes are the new Halloween breakfast tradition at our house. Such a tasty way to start off the day, in my opinion.

It was "too bright" when Annalise woke up, so she asked to wear sunglasses.

After decorating her pancake, Annalise said, "Look Mommy, I make mine with white hair."

Adelyn's looks decicious too! She really knows how to put on the cream.

Preston borrowed the sunglasses for awhile while he got used to the light too. It was a delicious morning.

Ward Halloween Carnival

The ward Halloween carnival was quite a hit this year. The kids had an amazing time playing all the games and seeing all their friends in costume. It was super fun!

Annalise can't wait to try all the games.

 Adelyn loves her rainbow face-painting.

Lisi and Preston decorating Halloween cupcakes.

 Yikes! Who invited that witch?!

The worm-eating contest.

 The chicken toss.

And the dart-shooting game. I love Preston's expression here.

Pumpkin Carving

I had the enviable pleasure of removing the pumpkin guts this year.

We let the kids each choose how they wanted their pumpkin carved. They drew their face on with pen and Ryan helped with the carving. You will notice that Adelyn and her pumpkin have the same expression in this picture.

And here are the carvers with their finished products.
