We blessed Shayla in church yesterday. It was only my second time at church with her, and we have 9:30 church. It has been a bit of a challenge trying to be up and ready by that time. Her feeding schedule always gets off on the weekends, and although I tried to work it so that she wouldn't be hungry during the blessing, it worked out to be the exact time that she needed to eat again. She was asleep when we got to church, but woke up during the opening song and prayer. Needless to say, she was a little fussy. Luckily she only had a couple of outbursts during the blessing, and stayed fairly quiet. David was nervous, but he did a good job, and the blessing was very nice. My mom made the blessing dress, and it is the same dress that I was blessed in as a baby. We were glad to have family there, and it was a nice day.
