8 month comparison

Myles is now 8 months old. He is finally starting to gain weight and now is 16.10 pounds. He has 6 teeth and is in the process of getting four more. Needless to say these past few months have been a hard time for the both of us. He is miserable and ornery which makes me miserable and very impatient. He LOVES to cry and scream and will do it constantly unless I hold him or feed him. He will eat anything. There hasn't been anything I've given him to try that he won't eat. If he could hold onto my fingers and walk around the house ALL DAY he would be a happy camper. However, my back can't handle that for very long so he gets very frustrated that he can't move around. He isn't really interested in crawling and would much rather walk. He can pull himself up on anything and scoot around furniture. On his happy days he likes to talk and have you mimic him, he gives wonderful wide open mouthed kisses, he knows how to spank your bottom, and has now turned his toys into phones and puts them up to his ear and says "huh huh". We are all hoping that once he gets done with teething and finally figures out how to crawl or walk he will be a changed man. And I say man because he thinks he is a little man. He loves to mow the lawn with uncle Jon, grill with grandpa Kim and drive the truck with his dad. All manly man chores! He practices showing off his muscular physique quite often and thinks it is funny to do body builder poses. Sadie still adores him and he finds her quite funny as well. So we are hanging in there and hoping for calmer days soon. Here are some pictures of Myles and Sadie at 8 months!

Myles and Sadie at 6 months

Myles still looks alot like Sadie but is starting to look more and more like his dad. At his six month checkup he weighed 14 pounds 9 ounces which put him in the third percentile. He still is spitting up his food a lot so nothing is really sticking to his bones. We started him on soy formula and hopefully he can keep that down and start gaining weight. He is 27.5 inches long and it is mostly torso since he has little chicken legs! He can sit up all by himself but heaven forbid I try to put him down for a minute. This boy likes to be held ALL THE TIME! If I need to get things done I have to do it while he screams. He is starting to get better at taking naps so I have about 2 hours to get things done in peace. He is very very attached to me...a complete mommy's boy. We keep telling him if he keeps this up he is going to get teased for being such a mommy's boy but he doesn't seem to care right now. I just wish he would let more people hold him so I could get a break. Daddy and Grandpa Kim are about the only other people he will let hold him. Aunt Bri is starting to make her way into the club, which you would think since she looks just like me he wouldn't care if she is holding him. But that boy KNOWS the difference. He has two bottom teeth and is working on getting some more. He has a miserable time with it and so does everyone else around him! But with all the trouble he causes he is such a cute little guy. His smile takes over his whole face and he is a very sweet cuddler. Now he is 7 months old and perhaps by the next post he will be crawling...or walking if he has it his way!

biscuit boy

andy's dominant genes

Myles is in every way a carbon copy of his father. I think the only thing he got from me is an easily upset stomach. So Andy gets the good looks and I get the puke.....awesome!

dr. myles

the doctor will see you now!

hello........Instacare??

Thanks to whoever taught Sadie how to do this. With the combination of swing sets and a two wheel scooter I think we will have at least one broken arm this summer!

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day Sadie wanted to do Valentine's hats instead of the traditional cards. So I bought some party hats and stickers and ribbon and let her decorate them for the girls in her class. Then I decided Myles needed to be a party of it so he tried on one of the hats and he looks super cute!!! Don't you want to be HIS Valentine?
