the virgin sets sail, yet again

After not blogging for over a year, I've decided to give blogging a go again. Few years back, everyone around me was in a blogging frenzy and I decided to join in the craze. As time passed, I began to give in to laziness and procrastination, transiting from blogging everyday to once every few days to once every few weeks and ultimately, stopped.

Blogging for me used to be "What I Did Today" which was pretty much mundane as how I perceive it to be now. Perhaps it's because of an aged mentality or mindset, having spent a few birthday-s since I started blogging but I think it'd be more meaningful to blog about life in general, rather than one's agenda for the day.

Sure, blogging is freewill and it allows you to update others about your life and events but honestly, one would get sick of seeing how your entries are always about "I went to this place for breakfast and I had this", followed by "I went to this place for lunch and I had this" and so on. Come on! Do people really need to know where you went and what you did every minute of your life?

I mean, it's fine if you'd like to mention you went to a certain place, had an awesome lunch and would want to recommend others to go there as well. I just find it pointless to ramble on and on about every single place you went to and every single food you had for the day. It's like, "uh-huh, uh-huh. wait, I don't really care. Please spare me the insignificant details, thanks."

Anyway, that's my opinion and I'm pretty sure there's still loads of people who blog about every detail in their lives. Nobody can stop anyone from blogging whatever and however they want. If people are so dissatisfied and unhappy about a blogger, all they have to do is to just stop visiting that person's blog. All problems solved. :)
